2 Double 1 twin bedroom, 2 bath apartment with Wifi - next to chair lift, close to restaurants, bars and free shuttle bus.

A large, independently owned, fabulously located, ski-in ski-out Savoyarde style apartment in the Plagne 1800, one of the 6 villages which form the La Plagne resort in the French Alps. The apartment offers an ideal base for your winter ski or summer mountain holiday and is easily accessible by air, ski train, or car from the UK. The villages of La Plagne, linked by the Vanoise express to Les Arcs make up Paradiski, a huge ski area offering over 424km of piste. There is also plenty on offer in the summer – for either an adrenaline packed holiday to a more relaxed mountain retreat. Plagne 1800 has a number of bars and restaurants, a supermarket, bakery, ski schools, and a handful of ski hire shops. The apartment is adjacent to a chair lift for direct access to the slopes, and a further lift is a few minutes walk away. Plagne 1800 also benefits from a free bus service which linking in with the other La Plagne villages just minutes away.

The apartment has two bedrooms and a twin-bed mezanine, sleeping 6 people in total. There is a main bathroom with bath (shower-over), separate toilet, and the main bedroom also has an ensuite with shower and toilet. The kitchen and dining space are well equipped (but no cooker), and the lounge has ample space for 6 adults. You will have access to a ski locker, and the building has a lift.

About The Owner

I currently live in Sheffield, on the edge of the Peak District national park. It's not the alps, but it's pretty spectacular anyway and from there you can cycle / walk / run and keep pretty active in training for the ski season.

Whilst I work full time, I will try to respond as soon as possible to enquiries and can help with advice on most aspects of your ski holiday. Happy hunting!

Why The Owner chose La Plagne area

La Plagne is huge, high and extremely diverse. In the winter you can cruise along blues for weeks on end, or try some more challenging blacks and extensive off piste skiing / boarding.

The attitude in La Plagne is down to earth, and the people are welcoming (especially if you try to speak a little French). 1800 is an old mining village, and has been developed sensitively. It has two chairs out, giving you access to the 'left and right' of the piste map.

Apart from the snow, there is a whole host of activities to keep you entertained. In the winter go husky sledding, sledging along a 6km trail, snow shoeing.

In the summer La Plagne has miles and miles of undiscovered trails for walking and biking and adrenaline sports a plenty. If that's too active there is also a beach!

What makes this apartment unique

Space, comfortably, for 6 people. You won't have to walk for longer than 3 minutes before you reach a chair lift, 5 minutes to another, and 2 minutes to the free bus. You will be right next door to a restaurant, and a 5-10 minute stretch (depending on your pace) of a lively bar with a happy hour and live music. You can ski right up to the front door if you wish - via blue / red / black or off piste.

People who return from our apartment tell us it's big, very comfortable and well equipped. They also tell us that we are helpful and our English in resort manager is great - check our guest comments on our website.

We listen to what our guests tell us and we make improvements based on this - this can be something as small as buying a toaster and slow cooker, to putting in another toilet.

Stayed at the apartement in early March. The location is fantastic and very close to the 1800 lift. There is a lovely red run to use on the way home so you can ski right upto the front door. 1800 is one of the better villages to stay in and has the best bar in the resort (La Mine). I'm looking forward to staying again next season. Rich Webb, UK.

Fantastic week at Avenir, La Plagne 1800

Chalet was in a fantastic location with a ski lift approximately 2 minutes walk from the door and the ability to ski back to the door. Fabulous views from the flat of the Mount Blanc. Chalet is right next to two very good restaurants and not too far to walk to the shops. The flat was spacious for the 6 of us and fully equipped with everything we needed to have a great holiday.

Clean, well appointed and stunning views

Had an enjoyable stay at this resort and the apartment was just what was needed at the end of busy days.

The resort is pretty with a view of Mt Blanc, has good restaurants that serve tasty food. You can walk to the local bar Mine Bar which is a busy place and the best place I found in the resort.

Chapeau La Plagne !!

This is the 3rd time I have stayed in this well equipped modern apartment, With great views, very close proximity to all the amenities, ski in and out what more could you ask. La Plagne itself as a Ski area caters for all abilities and surprisingly enough it never seams to be congested ( even at half term ) Best run of the day is the tree lined slopes into Montalbert. Enjoy !!

Fantastic location & views

We have visited this apartment several times and don't book anywhere else.

The apartment is well kept and all facilities you would need, the views are amazing over the mountains. The location of the apartment is away from the noise and busyness of the ski resort but having a bus stop/ski lift just outside the apartment means accessibility to the rest of the resort and pistes was extremely easy. There is a handful of restaurants nearby and the mine bar which has live entertainment. We have taken ski lessons every visit with Oxygen ski school which has improved our skiing no end. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back again - thank you!!

Absolutely wonderfull

I've been to this apartment 5 times now and I can't think of anywhere else as perfect. It's got EVERYTHING you could possibly wish for from a ski apartment and more. The views are breathtaking from the balcony, the ski lift is a stones throw away. It's tucked away from all the hustle and bustle whilst still being in a perfect location for the slopes. The local bar and restaurants are by far the best in town too. The apartment itself is spacious with adequate facilities for those who like to eat in or out. I love the quirky interior design which make you feel all cosy and warm. All in all, fantastic. You'd be crazy not to book. Helen
