Our superb apartment is set in the scenic Andalucian style village of San Juan de Capistrano which overlooks Nerja and the coast, it is set in landscaped gardens and walkways, on the edge of the national park for walks and tranquility, with excellent amenities boasting the finest swimming pools in Nerja. Apartment is very well equipped and has WIFI,Sky TV, Sky Sports,Playstation 2 with games and ipod docking station. There are several restaurants/bars within 2 minutes walk.

The apartment was the most wonderful place to stay, everything you need for your stay was there. The view from the terrace is just stunning. We will go back again for sure. Tom & Brian, Belfast.

June 2013: Myself and my wife (along with another couple) enjoyed 6

wonderful days in the apartment. The traditional design of the

Capistrano Village resort is impressive on arrival and the apartment

itself didn't disappoint. The location is high enough so that the

spacious terrace allows a wonderful view of Nerja. It's a perfect

spot for a glass of wine or a meal in the evening. The apartment

itself is spacious and tastefully decorated and the flat screen TV

with sky sports kept us happy (there's also a PlayStation with a

number of games for those with kids). We all had a great time and

found it great value for money and wouldn't hesitate to return in the

Loved it, great apartment with fantastic views of Nerja and the med ⛵️....Fab Local amenities and brilliant hourly bus 🚌 into the town centre. Sooo many restaurants and Bars in town - Whats not to like 🍻 weather 😎☀️ Hot every visit xx

Lovely apartment with amazing views

We had two weeks of vacation in Casa Joy. It is located in the wonderful part of San Juan de Capistrano. The apartment is clean, and has everything you need. The Large terrace has beautiful views of the mountains and sea . The pool area is fantastic .

We have two small children and had rented a car to easily get to Nerja town and the beach which is 5 minutes drive by car . There was always parking outside the apartment. Otherwise, it is good to take the bus. San Juan de Capistrano is a quiet and lovely part of Nerja with restaurants and a small supermarket . It is close to the Nerja caves and the wonderful hike in the Rio Chillar . Michelle is very helpful and always respond quickly to emails and questions. Our holiday was absolutely fantastic and we like to go back to Casa Joy.

I would really recommend this apartment. Thanks!

An idyllic retreat in beautiful surroundings

Now on our third visit to this beautiful location. The apartment is wonderfully appointed and offers a true home from home. The village of San Juan itself is equally peaceful and picturesque, the facilities offered by the gorgeous pool complex and its bordering bars and restaurants are, in my experience, unrivalled in this area. Nerja itself offers a fabulous array of beaches and places to eat or simply loose yourself in the views from the Balcon. The nearby Burriana beach is equally well served. The true jewel in the crown however is the accommodation offers here. The accommodation is scrupulously clean and comfortable, however the need to venture inside is rare as quiet evenings on the balcony with a cold glass in hand are the perfect way to end the day. Will be back again.

A Wonderful Place

My husband and I booked for a short break in May and really couldn't have found anywhere better to stay. The apartment offered more than anyone could wish for and the views from the terrace were stunning. A beautifully kept pool and a short bus ride into Nerja made our stay perfect. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to holiday in the very Spanish Nerja.

Nerja is a fantastic holiday location offering a great balance of beach life, mountains and a great Town Centre which has retained it's Spanish charm.

Activity and Interests


There are 9km of beaches, including the internationally famous Burriana Beach (5 min drive, 25 min walk), and Torricella blue flag beaches nearby, we have a local bus service every hour if you do not want to walk or drive. There is a scenic coastal walk nearby from Nerja to Maro. Marbella / Puerto banus are a 70 mins drive for a day out. Granada is a 90 min drive.


Malaga airport is 45mins away, we can refer you to a taxi or transfer service if required, also there are buses from the airport to Nerja.


There are a several bars/restaurants within 2 minute walk. Nearby we have Nerja’s most spectacular attraction, the famous caves, located just 3 km walk. They include treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many classical performances are staged during July/Aug. The pretty whitewashed villages of Frigiliana, Torrox and Competa are within 6km. The Aquapool complex at Torre Del Mar is 15 mins away.

Further Details:

Nerja has over 400 bars and award winning restaurants. It is a beautiful town with little side streets set out with table and chairs from the bars/restaurants, where you can while the hours away. The bustling Balcon de Europa is a must do.
