Apartment in La Florida, Nr.Torrevieja,South, Costa Blanca - 5 Minutes From Bars, Shops And Restaurants

Bright spacious 1st floor corner apartment, recently re-painted and new bedding recently purchased. Quality build with Lift nearby. Two bedrooms (one en-suite) plus second bathroom, within a secure gated complex (Jumilla 3) in Flamenca beach area, 15 minutes south of Torrevieja. There is a large swimming pool and various areas for sunbathing. Five minutes walk from many bars, shops and restaurants. Plus a selection of beautiful beaches within easy reach. The nearest being the Cala Captain beach which is just a 10 minute drive away. There are also several shopping centres within walking distance plus many more bars and nightclubs etc. The weather is glorious from April to November and mild the other months. There are several first class golf courses within 10-30 minutes drive (including Villamartin, La Finca, Campamor and Algorfa) plus Torrevieja is only a 15 minutes drive away where there is an excellent shopping centre (Habeneras), many more bars, shops and restaurants, the harbour and beach plus of course the water park. Access on arrival days is normally from 5 pm and the apartment vacated by 12 o'clock on departure days. Please note that there is an end of stay cleaning and laundry charge of 60 euros payable locally in Spain on arrival. For guests who prefer to make their own way to the apartment (perhaps hiring their own car) an additional 10 Euros meet and greet charge is also payable on arrival. Please note that no smoking is permitted within the apartment and no ashtrays are provided.

We love our apartment in Spain and as a family very much enjoy our out door holidays on the Costa Blanca, spending them mainly in or around the pool or beaches. We purchased the apartment in 2006 and have been delighted by our purchase and especially the build quality.

Apartment was good, unfortunately the first week spoilt by the development of land opposite which made sitting on the balcony

unpleasantly times. There where plenty of restaurants within walking distance , due to limited bus service a car is advisable if sightseeing is wanted.

Beautifully presented and immaculated clean holiday apartment in La Florida

I have stayed in the Jumila III complex in La Florida many times as we how found the overall location, facilities and amenities are excellent. We normally stay in one of the bungalows next to the pool which has been lovely but were were unable to book that particular apartment this year so I looked for similar aparments within the same complex and came across this excellent apartment which is in one of the blocks overlooking the road. It is the first floor and a corner apartment which gives you lots of extra space. We are a family of 4 so there was loads of room for us to ulitise. It has air conditioners in both bedrooms as well as the living area which is a big bonus and there is also WiFi, so my girls were really happy. When we arrived at the apartment, everything was immaculate, it smelt really fresh and clean and all of the bedding you could tell had been recently purchased. There were 4 recently purchased sun loungers plus beach mats and umberellas if you wanted to go down to the beach. We just love it in Spain and would definately recommend this apartment to anyone, we have even booked again for next year, that's how much we enjoyed our stay. The owners David and Rachel were lovely to deal with as well as Sue and Roger who caretake the place in Spain. Fabulous holiday!!!

A lovely big bright apartment on a lovely complex

The appartment was very big with all the facilities of home the owners have made a real effort with masses of info on the surrounding area the complex and pool were realy nice and it's just a 2 min walk to bars shops and resturants

The only let down is we stayed for 12 nights and were only provided with 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per person for the entire stay and no change of bedding I found myself haveing to wash them several times not realy what I wanted to do on my holiday

We were charged more than the stated price for the cleaning of the appartment this site will not allow me to say how much on reflection I think this is quite high considering that there was not clean towels or bedding provided also there's a notice telling you that you must leave the apartment clean take all rubbish to bins ect

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your review, your comments have been noted and our advert updated and made clearer. Our property is available as a base for self catering holidays and as such has no maid service. In line with other similar properties (and owners) we provide the same one set of bed linen per bed along with one hand towel and one bath towel per guest. Beach towels are not provided. We provide a washing machine but our advert does (and did) state that mid stay bedding changes can be provided at extra cost from our key holders (who live on site) should they be required. With regards the cost of the end of stay cleaning / laundry charge I have checked with my key holders and the correct fee was charged. Although the 10 Euro meet and greet fee was not specified in the original advert I do email all my guests a key holder contact information sheet before their holiday which does specify (in red) the cleaning and the 10 Euro meet and greet fee for people who make their own way to the apartment. Finally as you will appreciate on change over days, when one set of guest are leaving and others arriving (on the same day), that there is a limited time (usually only 4 -5 hours) that our key holders have to wash all towels and bedding, re-make all beds with fresh linen and to thoroughly clean the apartment, empty rubbish, clean fridges, microwaves and ovens before the next guests arrive. The note on the wall merely requests guests assistance to ensure that not too many dishes and other items are left for washing, ovens or microwaves are not left too dirty nor lots of rubbish left in the apartment so that the next guests do not have to wait too long for access to their holiday apartment.

Good central location. Secure private urbanisation

Spacious 2 bed, 2 bath accomodation within walking distance to bars, restaurants etc. Well equipped, TV, Wi-Fi etc. One small criticism - the old-fashioned 19" silver TV could do with an update. Would stay here again.

Great appartment

We had a lovely stay. We enjoyed the pool in the complex.

We think the price of end cleaning was a bit high considering that we have to clean up the appartment.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Alicante at 45 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Abbey Tavern at 500 Metres Nearest Golf : VillaMartin at 3 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Abbey Tavern at 500 Kilometres Car: not necessary


The nearest blue flag beach is Playa Flemenca which is a 30 minute walk or 10 minute drive away. There are many other beaches at La Zenia and Cabo Roig, to name a few. There is also a lovely beach just before Torrevieja.


There is car hire available at the airport and bus services. Alicante airport is about 50 minutes drive away. Airport collections and drop offs can also be arranged, if required, and are payable in euros locally. Please ask for up to date details.


Torrevieja is about a 10-15 minute drive away and is also serviced by a bus service. Guadamar and Orihuela are about 30 minutes drive away and are serviced by a bus service. However am unable to advise how good or reliable these services are.

Further Details:

A £100 refundable security deposit is required with the final holiday payment. This will be refunded following an inspection shortly after the apartment is vacated, subject to NO DAMAGE OR EXCESS CLEANING REQUIREMENTS. There is also a 60 Euro end of stay cleaning/ laundry charge which is payable in Spain on arrival. For guests who prefer to make their own way to the apartment (perhaps hiring their own car) an additional 10 Euros meet and greet charge is also payable on arrival.

Booking Notes:
Bookings must be secured by a £50 deposit/week booked, for which a receipt will be provided. The balance, including the £100 (refundable) security deposit is payable 8 weeks prior to departure. All bookings will be held provisionally for 1 week allowing time for the deposit to be paid. Payment can be made by cheque, Bank transfer or Debit/ Credit card through Pay Pal but there is an extra £10 (minimum) charge made to cover their fees (unless of course the sender opts to pay the transfer fees).

Changeover Day:
Apartment access on arrival days is from 5pm to allow for cleaning on same day changeovers . Earlier access (not on a changeover day) may be possible but not guaranteed. However on departure day the apartment should be vacated by 12 o'clock.

Notes on prices:
All prices payable in UK pounds. A security deposit of £100 payable at time of booking which will be refunded after apartment has been vacated, subject to inspection. There is an additional 60 Euros cleaning and laundry charge which is payable locally on arrival prior to keys being issued. .

  • Notes on accommodation: There are ceiling fans in every room as well as air-conditioning units. There are DVDs including several for children. A high chair and a large travel cot and good mattress are available on request. There are grills on all doors and all but one window so that when they are open the apartment is child safe. The apartment is one of 10 low rise blocks blended in with a number of bungalows all within a secure gated complex. There is a large pool plus smaller childs pool and large green areas with palm trees. There are plenty of sunbathing areas plus there is also a roof top communal terrace which is normally very quiet. There is an iron and ironing board in the store cupboard. One set of bed linen per bed is provided along with one hand towel and one bath towel per guest. There is no maid service however there is a key holder available on site should any problems arise. Changes of linen during your stay can be arranged at an extra cost through the key holder. There is a balcony with a table and chairs plus 4 new sun loungers
