Overview

About the property

Cottage in Brancaster, Norfolk - Walking distance to Pub, Restaurant, Beach, Golf Course, Child & Dog Friendly

Rosa Cottage is undergoing a major renovation and extension this winter and the new Rosa Cottage will be available from April 2018 onwards.

Rosa Cottage is at the end of a narrow lane with open farmland to the South and West. The lane is part of the North Norfolk Coastal path and all that you are liking to see passing the door are walkers, dogs and the occasional vehicle. The house and garden are ideal for guests with children or dogs as the rear of the cottage is enclosed.

There is a large open plan living area with a full height vaulted ceiling with a sleeping gallery over looking the living area and offering fabulous views over open countryside. There is a glimpse of the sea from here too but I can't call it a sea view!

The living room has a glass apex on both ends and full height bi-fold glass doors on the south facing side opening onto a patio area. There is a log burner for the colder nights, dining area, kitchen.

Three bath/shower rooms.

Rosa offers four bedrooms -

Kittiwake - a king size bed with ensuite shower room

Dove - a double bed with separate bathroom

Teal - a twin room with separate shower room

Seagull - the fabulous sleeping gallery with double bed, lots of natural light but no privacy as part of the living area.

The kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob and extractor, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Behind and to the side of the cottage is a lovely sheltered patio and to the front a sunny south facing patio and lawn. There is ample parking space for several cars. Free Wireless Broadband is included. Well-behaved children and dogs are very welcome. No smoking.

Why Carolyn Overton chose Kings Lynn & West Norfolk

For those who know Brancaster you will know why we have chosen this seaside village as your weekend or holiday retreat, for those who don't it's time you found out!

Rosa Cottage in Brancaster is peaceful and private but not isolated and is the perfect holiday home for couples or families. It sleeps eight comfortably.

We invite you to share it with us.

If, like us, you enjoy a lovely beach, great walking, fine dining, good pub lunches and attractive villages you will enjoy visiting our Norfolk home.

If you enjoy sailing and golf it is all on your doorstep.

Not to mention a little shopping trip just up the road to the delightful village of Burnham Market.

Rosa Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for a lovely stay in Rosa Cottage. It was a very comfortable and cosy cottage to stay in, the added bonus of an open fire was a lovely way to round off our day as the weather was very windy and chilly. However, the weather didn't stop us enjoying the stunning walks and beaches in and around Brancaster. Brancaster and Holkam beaches are amazing and our dog loved them. We took advantage of the fish and chip take away service The Ship pub in Brancaster. Very tasty but order the large portion and the small was tiny! We also enjoyed a couple of lunches at The Jolly Sailor in Brancaster Staithe which was excellent and very child and dog friendly. We can highly recommend staying at Rosa Cottage and hope to return soon. It's perfectly placed for exploring the wonderful North Norfolk Coast and is a great place to stay.

Brilliant place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This was a really lovely place to stay - clean and warm, a cosy open fire for the evenings and the beds are so comfortable. Its right beside the coastal walk and Brancaster beach is perfect for exercising people and dogs - miles of open sand and lots of birds to be seen. Everything was as described and the owner was very helpful and pleasant. I'd certainly recommend this property to others - and hopefully I'll be able to stay there again myself.
