It is fully air conditioned/heated, has patio and lawn area with sun beds, spacious private balcony, gas BBQ, roof terrace, satellite TV and selected UK free view channels, hi fi system, well equipped fully fitted kitchen which includes hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer. It is positioned at the front of the resort with uninterrupted spectacular views.

About the Owner

I have a husband, three children with four grandchildren. We live in England but we all holiday in the Algarve as often as we possibly can. We have made many friends there. We chose a property in the Western Algarve because the area is natural and beautiful and the sun shines there around 300 days a year! Our village property stands at the front of the resort with a spectacular sea view from every room. It has a roof terrace with the most amazing view ! It's only a five minute walk to Salema, a small fishing village, with it's clean sandy beach, restaurants and bars. We use the property for a romantic getaway, a family get together and golf/spa breaks. There's something for us all.

From the Owner

We love the area because it is easy to find and it is not overcrowded. The landscape is natural. The locals are friendly and helpful. Most of the Portuguese speak English. It is peaceful and calming. The local food and wine is excellent. We sometimes eat out, bbq on the balcony or have a local take away. There is a great night life in Lagos and on the Marina. Parking is free and easy. We find we can escape the stress of every day life here and return home fully recharged.

At Parque da Floresta, 5 minutes drive from the property, there are 3 putting greens, 4 floodlit tennis courts, a bowling green, a Health & Beauty Spa and Fitness Centre with indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. For younger people there is the Castaways Fun and Games Bar, Floresta Fun Club, Activ8 and Parque Football Academy which are all seasonal.


The coastal fishing village of Salema and the Atlantic Ocean is just a five minute walk away where you will find a beautiful clean sandy beach, a few shops, restaurants and bars. A 15 minute drive will take you to the surfing beaches of the west coast or quiet coves used by scuba divers and snorkelers. A 20 minute drive into Lagos offers trips to caves, grottos and dolphin watching.


Faro is the nearest airport. It is an easy drive to Salema along the motorway and takes around an hour. Car hire is recommended for exploring the area. Recommendations for Car Hire may be given upon request.


20km to Lagos for restaurants, markets, shops and marina. 17 km to Sagres. Cape St Vincent lighthouse, cliffs and stunning sunsets is a 20 minute drive away. Budens village is a five minute drive with a well stocked supermarket, petrol station and cash point.

Facilities at Parque da Floresta resort nearby include: hire of cots, stairgates and highchairs, babysitting/child care services, foreign currency exchange, safety deposit boxes and ATM machine, hair studio, doctor available 24 hours, multilingual staff, internet service. Any extra services should be arranged personally and paid on site.
