Sharon was head of Communications for Bombardier Transportation until August 2014. We own 6 18th century houses near Gensac & Ste. Foy-la-Grande, and I have managed all the restoration projects. We help create experiences, not just holidays, with spacious accommodation, - great kitchens, all bedrooms en-suite, cinemas, wifi, hi-fi, satellite TV, large securitised pools and exceptional sporting facilities. We live nearby and aim to give you exceptional personal service, together permanent support team. We offer a wide range of optional extras, including minibuses, canoes, chef, maid and babysitting service. Why Ian Christians chose Entre Deux Mers

The Presbytere was a prominent ruin alongside the church where my son was married in 2000. A good friend told me, as we were driving past, "It's for sale." I asked who owns it. "I do." My response "How much." Her response "250,000 FF". My response "Done!" A year and a few million francs later we have a fully restored Presbytere. It has a superb setting, attached (just) to the church, looking down the Dordogne valley. The views are sensational, sunsets - looking horizontally as we are high up - spectacular. The house, with 6 reception rooms, and 8 en-suite bedrooms lacks for nothing. It is amongst the best of holiday properties. The location, close to Ste. Foy, 35kms from magical St.Emilion, between accessible Bordeaux and Bergerac and their airports. Perfect.

What makes this villa unique

The Presbytere is as good as it gets, wonderful restoration of this 17th century priest's house, secluded, heated pool, great views, en-suite bedrooms, 6 reception rooms with cinema and wi-fi - it is ideal for families and groups. The area - full of interest, from Bordeaux, the Medoc, St.Emilion, Pomerol, Sauternes, the Dordogne chateaux. The climate - usually excellent, with night-time electric storms to keep the grass green, hot temperatures. A friend who lives 400m away is happy to let my clients use her tennis court - a bottle of good white burgundy in compensation. Options include mini-bus rental, chef, maid service, exceptional wine cellar (burgundies and Bordeaux at great prices).

A truly peaceful place with magnificent views

We were a family party of 11, ages 19-80 and our stay at Le Presbytere lived up to all expectations! It is very rustic and oozes character. The bedrooms are all ensuite on the ground floor and stay cool so air conditioning isn't necessary but fans are provided in some of the rooms if required. The living area is vast with a well equipped kitchen leading onto a terrace with stunning views over the countryside. The pool area is perfect with towels provided and great loungers. Ian, the owner was very welcoming and made himself available for questions about places to eat and visit etc without being intrusive. On that note we would definitely recommend eating at Le Gensake in Gensac; fabulous food! Visits to St Emilion, Bergerac & Sainte Foy de Grande are well worth it. In conclusion if peace & tranquility are what you are after this is the place!

A fantastic, social property with plenty of room!

We spent a fabulous week at the Presbytere with our extended family of 13, ages ranging from 5 to 68! There was plenty of room for all! The pool was a highlight and needed in the 30 degree heat. The upside down layout of the house was great and the downstairs rooms remained cool. The balcony upstairs was used the most as it enabled us to appreciate the spectacular views of the plum orchards and sunflower fields as well as the view down to Ste Foy (the market on a Saturday is well worth a visit). We had beautiful sunsets every evening. Ian, the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful and on hand for our every need. We would definitely recommend the wine tasting evening run by Ian, especially as you are in the wine region! We would most certainly recommend the Presbytere for an extended family holiday! We only wish we had booked for two weeks! Thank you Ian for your hospitality!

Excellent house for a large group of friends

The house is perfect if you're looking to be left alone and relax for a week. It is surrounded by beautiful plum orchards and has fantastic views. Would highly recommend.

Un sejour inoubliable dans un cadre magnifique...

Nous avons célébré au Presbytere l'anniversaire de mon mari... Adultes ados et enfants ont profité au mieux du site : parties de ping pong, de rugby, concours de pétanque et de billard, jeux d'eau dans une piscine chauffée très agréable. Plusieurs salons pour la détente, de belles salles pour manger... Il ne manquait rien! Tout est prévu pour que le sejour soit parfait: linge de lit, de toilette, multitude de vaisselles... Un panier de bienvenue bien rempli. Et cerise sur le gateau une vue exceptionnelle depuis la terrasse avec un splendide coucher de soleil pour l'apéro !!!

Nous avions réserve pour une nuit "la grange" tout aussi bien avec un côté plus intime .

Le Proprietaire est très sympathique et arrangeant, la personne chargée de ni tendance de la maison est adorable . N'hésitez pas pour vos événements familiaux et amicaux.

Perfect family holiday

There isn't much more I can add to former reviews as it really is the perfect place for a large number of people. We were celebrating a number of milestones, big birthdays, a wedding, anniversaries, and exam results and wanted everyone to share these somewhere special and le Presbytere did not disappoint. Our group consisted of 14 adults (a mix of couples and singles ranging in age from 18 to 69) and 3 children aged 5, 14 months and 22 months. I was a little nervous having taken responsibility to arrange the holiday on everyone's behalf but I needn't have worried. Although we had mixed weather the result was we enjoyed everything the villa had to offer, indoors and out. On the couple of rainy days we used the snooker room, cinema room (which was superb) the lounge area with DVDs and ate together in the magnificent dining room. On the nice days most of the time we were outside enjoying a drink and eating on the terrace with the fantastic views, sunbathing by the pool, or playing table tennis. There were plenty of places to see in the surrounding area but as we only had a week, most of the time we were content to stay put. The only time we ventured out was to the Saturday market in ste foy la grande and to the leClerc supermarket, both nearby, and some of the group went canoeing one day. As it was a celebration, Ian (the owner) provided, at our request, a chef to cook a gourmet meal one evening. A couple of evenings before this Ian did a wine tasting seminar for us which was great fun, and enabled him to provide our favourite wines to serve with the chef's meal. Ian was only down the road and attended to our every need when requested, such as providing a hairdryer which we forgot to pack, and gates to place at the top and bottom of the stone steps to avoid any accidents with one-year olds! The other things I should mention are the huge kitchen, with its brilliant farmhouse table which made it a pleasure to prepare meals (there was also loads of crockery, cutlery utensils etc and plenty of food and drinks storage with 2 large fridges) and also the fact that every bedroom was en suite which provided privacy and made it very comfortable for all concerned. All in all this was a brilliant place to stay and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Excellent Family Holiday

We had a fantastic week at the Presbytere (8 adults and 6 children under the age of 3).

The house is huge with plenty of living space and eight bedrooms which are equally as big and well equipped as one another. The outside space is very nice and the pool is well kept and clean. We ate on the terrace every evening and enjoyed the superb sunsets.

Ian was based nearby and quick to respond to any queries we had. I would definitely recommend this property for large groups. You will need a car but there are some great family attractions within one hours drive if you feel you need to get out of the house.
