La Grange is our restoration of an 18th century chai, designed for a great holiday experience. Beautiful setting with superb views over valley and vines. 6 en-suite bedrooms are on the ground floor for coolness and the upstairs rooms - 2 magnificent vaulted and beamed 70m2 salons - have great views and a balcony. There is a well-equipped kitchen with American fridge. Wi-fi, awesome and very popular full screen video projector and surround sound system with DVD/CD and satellite free-to-air. A circular staircase takes you down to a candlelit cellar, ideal for tastings. Laundry room. Full central heating, washing machine, drier, all linen and towels provided, cots/high chairs as required. Securitized pool, 10 x 5m, table-tennis, 1 acre garden, parking, 12 sun loungers, parasols, tables with benches, BBQ. Small garden opening onto vineyard. Credit cards accepted.

Sharon was head of Communications for Bombardier Transportation until August 2014. We own 6 18th century houses near Gensac & Ste. Foy-la-Grande, and I have managed all the restoration projects. We provide experiences, not just holidays, with spacious accommodation, - great kitchens, all bedrooms en-suite, cinemas, wifi, hi-fi, satellite TV, large securitised pools and exceptional sporting facilities. Why Ian Christians chose Entre Deux Mers

La Grange was an old chai in the grounds of our first property, Thebot, but if you climbed up on the roof there were magnificent views of the valley to the south. Having the benefit of a great builder, I designed the house to be the ideal holiday property in the shell of the chai. So all bedrooms are en-suite on the ground floor, making them cool even in the hottest summer, and the large upstairs rooms have great views. Part of the design was to ensure complete isolation from Thebot, rendering it invisible from La Grange. The area has a great climate, enough rain, usually at night with spectacular electric storms, to keep things green, but mainly hot and sunny. Lots to see and do - St. Emilion, Bordeaux, Bergerac. Absolutely peaceful, yet many good restaurants in nearby Ste. Foy.

What makes this villa unique

Ideally positioned between two main airports and for train. In the depth of the countryside, but just outside Ste. Foy. Lots of great vineyards and wines, historic sites, and all sorts of sports - canoeing a must. Privacy of en-suite bedrooms. Great cinema experience. Coolness of ground floor bedrooms. Any additional requirements can almost always be met. A friend who lives 400m away is happy to let my clients use her tennis court - a bottle of good white burgundy in compensation. Options include mini-bus rental, chef, maid service.

"Great villa! We found the villa to be perfectly located, right amongst the vines but with the shops & restaurants of Ste Foy nearby. The "upside down" house layout gave us stunning views over the rolling countryside from the living areas - great for breakfast on the balcony and for watching the sunset and shooting stars over a glass of wine. Good swimming pool and excellent cinema/sound system. Simply Outstanding

We have just returned from a family holiday at La Grange in Ste Foy la Grande. It surpassed all expectations and by far the best French holiday property we have stayed in. The location, layout and facilities are all very accurately described and the property has been maintained to a high standard. The owner left a very generous welcome pack and called in to see us shortly after our arrival. He was anxious to make sure that we were happy with everything and was very quick to respond to a key problem with the pool (a great size and surrounded by more than enough sunloungers for all our party of 12). Before leaving for France we received from the owner a very useful and extensive information email. It is clear that Mr Christians gives every thought into holiday letting to ensure that his clients have a really enjoyable time. We will certainly recommend this La Grange to friends and relatives. trés agréable semaine dans cette jolie propriété

nous avons réservés une semaine dans cette grande et agréable propriété...nous étions 12 adultes et 2 bébés...6 grandes chambres en rez de chaussée qui gardent la fraicheur...chacune avec douche ou baignoire et toilettes... 2 très grands salon et salle a manger au premier étage...ainsi qu'une cuisine et une terrasse avec vue sur la piscine privée et les vignes...le barbecue a coté de la piscine le soir était bien agréable aussi...nous avons vraiment appréciés cette semaine...le propriétaire est très sympa et disponible...

A wonderful week in the Dordogne area

My family and another family holidayed recently at Le Grange in St Foy. On arrival we were blown away at the beauty of the property, the setting and the surroundings and knew we would be in for a treat! The property is extremely well appointed, it has everything you will need for a great holiday. The upstairs cinema room and lounge area are huge, creating fabulous space for everyone to take time out. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed and plenty of room for everyone. Everywhere was very clean. The pool and it's views are superb, sunbathing looking across at the vineyards.

We went to St Emillion one afternoon which took 30 minutes, an absolute must see. We canoed down the Dordogne River which was great fun, we ate locally in Gensac and had the best meal walking distance from the house overlooking the Dordogne. All the recommendations came from Ian the owner who was a great host. Anything we needed Ian was on hand and able to answer any questions, particularly about the wine and surrounding areas.

We ate mainly at the house as the views from the terrace were stunning each evening. We sampled delicious wines and local food. It was agreed that it was a super holiday, one that we will treasure and will most definitely return. I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

La grange

A well appointed villa, well maintained and perfect for our family holiday. We were eleven in number and it well suited ages from 8 to 80. We had perfect weather except for one morning when we made use of the excellent cinema system. The pool was a good size and the house had a balcony where you could enjoy the lovely view over the vineyards.

La Grange

I took my family consisting of ten to La Grange between the dates of 17th and 31st August. The booking was very simple and straight forward and done by E-mail.

When we arrived at the property we were delighted that the actual villa and the setting were even better than the description. The facilities were as stated in that the villa is extremely well equipped. We were met at the airport. The property was well maintained and was in very good condition when we arrived. Any problems we had, which were very few, were immediately seen to by the owner who was on hand and provided an absolutely first class service e.g. the garlic crusher had gone missing and that was replaced the same day.

I would certainly recommend this property to relatives and friends.

There are many activities, members of my family hired the canoes, they played tennis at the owner's friend's house on various occasions.

We visited Bergerac and had a trip on the river. The restaurants in the vicinity are extremely good particularly Le Jardin des Cygnes which can only be described as a suberb location with gourmet standard of food.

The restaurants in the area I found to be very good with many menus varying from 22 Euros to 45 Euros.

Not one to be missed

I have to say my friends & I booked la Grange as an alternative to our usual holidays abroad. None of our party had been to France before and a work colleague suggested we try this area.

The villa looked great on this site but it's not until you arrive that you can really appreciate how impressive la Grange really is; one word Stunning!!

Absolutely beautiful with lovely views, a superb conversion with such character and absolutely perfect for a large party with enough room for everyone and all the amenities you could need. I have to say a big thankyou to the owner Ian for helping us make the most of our stay, we took on board his suggestions and we were so glad we did, the visit to the local chateau as well as the one in St Emillion is a must as is the dining at local chef Mr Dupont, superb food, beautifull spot to eat.

Overall i would highly recommend La Grange and would certainly visit again, so easy from Bergerac airport and a peaceful setting for a lovely holiday to wind down and relax.
