Excellent Family Apartment with Stunning Views
About the Owner
We have both worked teaching art in Adult Education for many years. Now that we have retired from teaching, we spend as much time as possible painting in our studio in Greenwich.
We find Kalkan the ideal place in which to relax, and enjoy beautiful scenery, delightful swimming in warm water, excellent food, and indulge our interest in ruins!

Excellent Family Apartment with Stunning Views
This holdiay was with a friend and my two children. The facilities were excellent, the apartment felt homely. We enjoyed dining on the patio, with the pool just a few footsteps away. The view of the sea, the islands, and the hills, is unreal! There are three other apartments in this complex, with other holiday homes and villas on this hillside location, which is just outside Kalkan ... five minutes drive, fifteen minutes walk approximately. The apartment was clean and well maintained, customer service was excellent. We enjoyed the local restaurants; Adam's is a must-go restaurant and he offers a pick-up and drop-off 'taxi' service. We also enjoyed our drive up into the mountains to Gombe and the Green Lake, and the evening boat trip to Mouse Island. The children loved the tortoises in the gardens, and the occasional friendly cats that visited from time to time. I would recommend Jasmine Apartment for its quiet but very convenient location and for all it had to offer. We have already decided to go back next year!
This is my second stay in apartment definitely won't be my last!! We had an amazing holiday!! Sadly we didn't want to leave ;-( Apartment was fantastic!!! Top spec. Very clean. Lovely views from pool, everyone friendly. Cannot wait till next year 😊🕶🍷
2016 holiday no1
we return to this apartment twice a year it is in a beautiful location overlooking kalkan it has a lovely pool and gardens just right for lazing about in the sunshine, the apartment is well equipped and furnished all to a high standard there is nothing you would want for,the apartment and all surrounding areas are exceptionally clean, the pool is maintained daily. Kalkan offers many good restaurants, bars and shops where the locals are very friendly and helpful i would highly recommend the apartment and area to all my fiends and family .
Had a fantastic stay in patio apartments Jasmine. Thank you.
A totally chilled out week in the sun...
My friend and I decided to have a girls week away and chose the apartment because it looked lovely on the website and appeared to be good value for money. We certainly weren't disappointed, everything was as we had hoped. Spacious apartment with a bedroom and bathroom each, everything you need in the kitchen for self catering breakfast and lunch (too many lovely restaurants to eat dinner in). A beautiful clean pool area which was so peaceful and spacious with amazing views over Kalkan and the sea. It was an unusually hot week for September so we spent most of our time at the pool, certainly no hardship as we felt so relaxed and could wander straight in and out of the apartment for drinks, snacks etc as right next to the pool.
The website explains about the steep hill into town so we were expecting it, but it is a very steep hill, ladies do not wear heels, noone wears heels in Kalkan! The walk down is about 10 minutes at a steady (you have to take it steady) stroll. We also walked back every night (we had to get some exercise after our huge dinner) and felt safe doing so, very hot, but safe. Plenty of cheap taxis if you don't fancy the walk
The town is very friendly and has a huge choice of restaurants, don't think any of them will disappoint. My friend has a gluten intolerance so took her own bread and cereal but all of the restaurants we ate in understood the issues and it wasn't a problem at all, they modified dishes as requested to meet her needs.
This was a lovely relaxed week with nothing negative to report, helped greatly by very prompt and helpful correspondence from Felicity, so many thanks.

Relaxing and beautiful
A lovely, stylish, immaculate apartment with amazing views over The Kalkan Bay. If you want to eat in, the kitchen is well equipped and you can eat outside with just a sound of the cicaddas. Alternatively, a 10 minute stroll into town offers little streets filled with roof top restaurants, pottery shops amongst designer hand bags and textiles. I would thoroughly recommend staying at this lovely property where nothing is too much trouble for Zeki who is on hand to meet your needs. Easy to book and all questions are answered swiftly in advance.
From the Owner
“We greatly enjoy wandering around the interesting little streets of the village in the evening, having a quiet drink, and trying out various restaurants. The Turkish people are warm, helpful, and friendly. Virtually everyone speaks English. There is a wealth of archeology to be explored, it is easy to book trips, and 'lazy days' at sea where you are taken by boat to swim in local bays and have lunch on board. The local town beach is about 15 mins walk (pebbly), and there is a long sandy beach at Patara, a short taxi drive.”
Activity and Interests
10 mins walk to Kalkan beach, which is pebbly, but deep enough to swim almost immediately; sun beds and brollies available. Nearby restaurants and cafes. Water taxis from Kalkan harcourt, near bye, will take you across the bay to Patara Prince Resort . Patara Beach, long and sandy, 20 mins by taxi. Cafe/restaurant on beach. Toilets and showers.
The nearest airport is Dalaman, about one and a half hours drive. A car or mini-bus can be arranged with our agents in Kalkan, to meet you at the airport. Car hire is not essential as there are are range of taxis, and local buses available for transportation.
Many archaeological sites available to visit on day trips, and sightseeing places, eg. Saklikent Gorge, Smoke Mountain, the Green Lake, Xanthos, Tlos, Arycanda, Patara etc.
We can provide a welcome hamper for £35 which we hope includes all you need for your first day in Kalkan. Please ask us for a list of the contents.
Some supermarkets eg Yali beside Deniz Bank, will deliver to the apartment. We often just collect a few groceries after dinner in the evening and take them back to the apartment in our taxi. Kalkan has many interesting shops selling leather goods, jewellery, fabrics, pottery, etc. and excellent restaurants with a variety of prices to choose from. Banks will change money, and seem to offer the best rate, (take your passport), but there may be a queue; various shops as you enter main area of Kalkan also exchange money, for pretty good rates. (better rates than in the UK). There are about 3 cashpoints in the centre of Kalkan.

From the Owner
“We had loved our holidays in Kalkan for many years, and 7 years ago fell in in love with this wonderful apartment. It is beautifully maintained by friendly, helpful staff, and the pool area is cleaned every early morning and evening. Our apartment is very convenient, being poolside, for getting drinks etc. and there is a toilet on the same floor; we have a private, shaded eating area, overlooking the pool. We also love the covered area, with sofas, shared with the other apartments. The view from the terrace and upstairs, is spectacular, of Kalkan, the sea, and the mountains. Although it is only a ten minute walk down to the village, it is quite steep, and you would probably like to take a taxi (easily obtained from the rank as you enter the village) for the return journey.”
