Penthouse Apartment in Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca, Balearic Islands - Pine Walk Area, Close to the Beach

The penthouse apartment is fully air-conditioned and is situated in the Pine Walk area, the most prestigious part of Puerto Pollenca.

It is 50 metres from the beach and adjacent to the Illa Dor Hotel. It is a quiet area with supermarkets and restaurants nearby - but just a short walk to the port, further restaurants and the main shopping area. The beaches are never crowded and are as safe as they can be for small children.

The apartment looks out on to the large terrace which you can see in the pictures. It is equipped with sun loungers and a table with chairs for outdoor dining..

There is also a shaded area with an overhead fan containing an extensive table and seats for dining.

There are two double bedrooms and one twin bedded room. It has a bathroom and shower room.

Why Jim Shaw chose Pollenca

We first visited Puerto Pollenca some 40 years ago, staying at a 'pension', when it was just beginning to wake up to the opportunities of attracting tourists. We did not return until some 15 years ago when we found a very different place. Fortunately, the developments were restrained and mostly attractive apartments.

This time we stayed in the Noel apartment, owned then by a Glaswegian. We continued to rent the apartment from him for a number of years until we were finally able to persuade him to sell it to us.

What makes this apartment unique

Over the years we have got to know local restaurant owners and the other apartment owners who are Spanish. The apartments were originally built by officers from the local flying boat base in 1975. They sited them well.
