Detached Holiday Home in Seaton, Nr. Looe, Cornwall - 2 Minute Walk To Beach And Coastal Footpath

In all the bedrooms we have lovely white New England style beds, side tables, dressing tables and chest of draws. The master bedroom and guest bedroom (upstairs) both have en-suite bathrooms and fitted wardrobes. The sea views from the kitchen/diner, the drawing room and the two upstairs suites are simply breathtaking. With floor to ceiling sliding french windows you will feel like you're on a ship.

I can say that St Michael’s is "Grand Designs" & "Location Location Location" all at once. Lynn and I absolutely loved it, it it so well appointed, you and Margaret have thought of everything. We listened to the waves at night watching the "Eddystone Lighthouse" and that view !!! you just sit on the patio and watch the world with that 180 degree panorama....Wow. So many places to go, but loved our picnic above "Lantic Bay" pub lunches at "Kingsand","Crafthole" & "Polperro". Can't wait to go back, long drive but worth it we think. Richard & Lynn

Outside: The large (13 x 7m) terrace has loungers, a dining set that seats 10 and a charcoal BBQ. To the rear of the house (along a private lane) is secure parking for two large vehicles and there's an additional space for a third car at the front of the property. At the end of the garden is a small quiet country lane that leads down to the beach. Utility Room: Utility room with washing machine & separate tumble dryer. Sink Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: We provide pillows, quilts, bedding and towels.

Great property overlooking beautiful scenery

The booking process was smooth with clear communication from the owner. Our stay was of particularly short notice and I was impressed by the professionalism in dealing with our booking.

The description was accurate, although the pictures really don't do the property justice, the master suite is MASSIVE, as is the kitchen and living room.

Our party was a group of 7, we used all of the rooms and the property was clean and well maintained throughout. Clean towels and linen were waiting for us when we arrived.

I cannot recommend this property enough, it overlooks the sea, is a 2 minute walk from a beach, cafe and Pub. And a short 10 minute drive away is Looe.

Coast/Beach:

Enjoying breathtaking unspoilt coastline & countryside, Seaton is a largely undiscovered gem 20 miles west of Plymouth. The beaches are stunning and for those who enjoy walking, the famous coastal paths provide plenty of opportunities with nearby, Looe, Whitsand Bay, The Rame Peninsula and a little further afield (20 minutes max) to the charming 13th Century harbour at Polperro, arguably Cornwall's prettiest traditional village.

Travel:

11 miles from Plymouth. Nearest airport Exeter. Nearest train station is Liskeard with trains from London.

Further Details:

Seaton & Downderry Beach is a MCS (Marine Conservation Society) recommended beach in Cornwall. For children and sun lovers there are lovely beaches, safe swimming, rock pools and quiet little coves. Beach activities include, diving, surfing, sea canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and fishing. There are a number of excellent golf courses near by, including the 18 hole at Whitsand Bay and Saltash and the Jack Nicklaus designed St. Mellion course. The famous Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and several National Trust properties are within easy driving distance. Just a few miles north you'll find the beautiful Bodmin Moor, and the north Cornwall coast is easily visited in a day.

Discover the stunning wooded walk through the valley to Hessenford just a mile away and you're only 2 minutes from the the Coast path. Head west and your arrive at Looe, a historic fishing port with quaint streets, a harbour, sandy beach, shops, restaurants, hidden coves and its own island. Nearby is Polperro, which is a picturesque Cornish fishing village with traditional white painted cottages overlooking the harbour, famed for its history of smuggling & fishing. Head east and you'll discover the unspoilt seaside villages & beaches at Whitsand Bay, Rame Head, Cawsand and Kingsand. Nearby Mount Edgecumbe Country Park provides 800 acres of unspoilt walking & leisure opportunities.

Good local day-to-day facilities are in abundance at Downderry, the adjoining village with a general store, Post Office, traditional inn with lovely sea views and highly acclaimed Blue Plate restaurant.
