Lrg 2/3 bed Penthouse Apartment close to Cala d'Or in a Village Location, Beautifully Furnished, Near To All Amenities

This pretty, very well equipped and beautifully decorated, spacious apartment has lovely balconies to the front and back, giving uninterrupted views along the whole coast. In the large and sunny L shaped lounge is a large screen Smart UK satellite TV, DVD and music player, plentiful setees, dining table and chairs, shelving and decorative items. Leading off from the lounge are the front and rear balconies, the front giving stunning uninterrupted views over Cala d'Or and the coastline and the rear being enclosed with pretty glazing (opening) allowing peaceful seating in all weathers and looking up towards the mountain fort and old monastery. There is free WiFi throughout. The separate well equipped kitchen, also leads off from the lounge and is fitted with quality oak cabinets & marble worktops, full hob, fridge, oven & microwave with ample pots, pans and pantry items. Through the arched hallway you will find two of the spacious bedrooms. Both face the front and have their own balcony with the uninterrupted sea views. Bedroom 1 is a double with a large and comfy wood frame bed whilst bed two can be made up as a single or as a twin as required. Between the two rooms is a well appointed full bathroom, with glass screen, shower and bidet plus storage and glass topped sink. Upstairs is a totally private roof terrace of over 90sqm with electric lighting, teak sunbeds, chairs & tables, shower and stone built BBQ. There are 360 degree uninterrupted views out along the coast and up to the mountain monastery - a really lovely private and unoverlooked place to relax and to dine. Near to the apartment are a selection of exceptional restaurants (one having won best restaurant on the island for five consecutive years), bars, pizza places, cafés and a supermarket and also a patisserie with full bakery, a butchers and wholesalers which offers seasonal vegetables, fruits and locally pressed wines. There is also a market in the pretty village plaza each week. The apartment, one of only four, is only 3 mins drive from Cala d´Or and 5 minutes from the renowned Val d´Or golf course. Nearby are a large selection of beaches and Calas, including Sanau and Mondrago (Times: one of the world’s best beaches) plus all the Cala d'or beaches. The village also has a stop for the main line bus service to Palma and other towns. This a luxuriously appointed home and we welcome caring, considerate tenants, who are looking for a very comfortable stay in a beautiful apt with stunning coastal views, fully equipped with everything needed to enjoy time in a very special place. Long term tenants welcome , subject to appropriate tenancy regulations and laws of Spain.

Why George chose Santanyí

A beautiful area... quiet, select, but with all the facilities needed for a fabulous stay. Close to the best beaches of the East coast, the championship golf course of Val d'or, and the protected reserve of Mondrago, the uninterrupted views are simply amazing - from the lounge, bedrooms and rooftop terraces you can look out along the whole coastline, watching the liners sailing across to Palma and the little boats bobbing around. To the rear the views are equally beautiful upwards to the mountain monastery and old fort, which is itself a lovely picnic venue, unspoilt and peaceful and looking out over the whole East of Mallorca.

Close to the tourist town of Cala d'Or with its numerous facilities, beaches, restaurants and nightlife, but far enough away to enjoy the peace of beautiful Mallorca. Lovely restaurants and bars are a short stroll away together with all the little shops, banks, bakery etc that are needed for a comfortable, fun and happy holiday. There is a weekly market and free sports area. Upstairs is a beautiful large private rooftop terrace, totally un-overlooked with stunning coastal views, shower facilities, lighting, seating, table and plants. There is a new stone built BBQ, an ideal dining area, excellent for sunbathing (teak sunbeds), parasol etc - perfect for relaxing and romantic evenings under the stars. Bedlinen and bathroom towels are provided & a midstay clean is offered for stays of more than 14 days. Discount airport transfers etc can be arranged - please ask. It is 40 mins to the airport. The covered back terrace has newly fitted opening glazed windows, table and chairs - with lovely views to the mountain monastery. A beautiful outdoor space to use whatever the weather. Newly fitted glazing and doors throughout with pretty window shutters. There is a new washing machine & full size 2nd fridge/freeze

Cala dor mallorca great sea view apartment

After visiting Spain we travelled to the island of Mallorca where we found this beautiful apartment with wonderful views, very modern, clean light and airy with great local restaurants and bars a short stroll away or a longer walk into Cala dor. We cycled for the two weeks of our stay and found the bike hire charges more than reasonable. The supermarkets had beer at 65c a litre! and the food is beautiful. The island now has many Lidl and Aldi supermarkets so shopping is cheap and easy! The apartment with its incredible views and special roof terrace is the ideal place to sit and sunbathe. An hourly bus service took the Mrs to some lovely places and markets. Car hire was excellent value but we opted for the bikes. I highly recommend the location, the locals were so welcoming and whole environment was friendly in every respect wherever we visited.

The apartment is close to the busy tourist town of Cala d'or, with all its numerous attractions, many beaches and nightlife, but is just far enough away to enjoy the peace of traditional Mallorca in a beautiful village setting, on a gentle slope inland from Cala d'or giving totally uninterrupted views over the whole town and along the coast in both directions. There are some beautiful restaurants and bars a stroll away, plus all the little shops and bank, bakers etc that are needed day to day. Parking is free and unlimited alongside the apartment and the local bus stops close by. There is a little market every Thursday in the village square for fresh foods and fruit and all the traditional fiestas are held there too. Nearby is the world renowned 2 mile golden beach and nature reserve of Mondrago and just past this the naturist beach at Es Trenc! The main town market in Santanyi is a must visit each Wednesday and Saturday and the local snorkelling, watersports and sailing opportunities are unlimited.


The many beaches and calas surrounding Cala d´Or are a short drive away as are the quieter beaches of Cala Sanau, Cala Santanyi, Cala Llombards, to name but a few. The famous sands of Mondrago are also easily reached by car or by bus or minitrain from Cala d'Or. The apartment is only a short distance from the tourist attractions and lively nightlife of Cala d´Or, Porto Petro & Porto Colom but the village itself offers all the necessities, bank, supermarket, bakers, restaurants bars etc and the surrounding area offers a stunning variety of seaside settings, dining opportunities, diving, fishing, cycling, golf, walking etc.


The airport is 40 minutes drive from the apartment with Palma´s rich history a further 10 minutes. The use of a car is recommended although the bus stop for Palma and local villages is in the centre of the village. Information on all local facilities and attractions will be found in the apartment. Airport transfers can be arranged.


The apartment is situated in the middle of a beautiful Mallorcan village just above Cala d'Or, with all facilities within easy reach. The route to the beaches is scenic & pleasant for walkers and bikers (there is a particularly pleasant country lane direct to Cala d'Or – or a main road if preferred). Both rural and rustic routes abound and are well marked. Cyclists particularly enjoy the area with many beautiful country lanes. Driving is simple and well signposted.

Further Details:

The village is completely self-contained for all day to day needs. It allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of a main tourist centre, whilst being nearby to all those attractions should they be wanted. The nearby local bars, cafés, restaurants, spa shops, banks, bakers, butchers and market provide everything needed for a wonderful stay. There is also a small museum, beautiful craft shops, antique shops and decorative and dress shops. The lovely local church is open for visitors and the plaza has a play area for children and is often host to local fiestas, plays, open air dinners and the weekly market. A very large market is also held nearby at Santanyi on Saturday and, in summer - Wednesday as well. Diving, cycling, ballooning, horse riding, sailing, quad tours, spa facilities, motorbikes etc are all available close by.

Changeover Day:
We prefer Saturdays, but of course can be flexible for longer stays and out of season. We do ask that visitors depart the apartment by 10am. Arrivals are then booked for after 3pm – but we will always endeavour to be flexible by prior arrangement. At certain times discounts are available for 2 guests. Discount airport pickups available pls enquire.

Notes on prices:
Short stays of less than a week, and longer stays of more than 2 weeks can be arranged - please ask. A refundable security deposit of £300 is needed to cover any loss/damages/excess cleaning requirements and keys. Thank you. Discounts are available for low occupancy ie. 2 persons staying.
