"We don't want to go home! The Hayloft has been the perfect base from which to explore Devon and has provided us with everything necessary to make it a holiday to remember. We were made to feel right at home from the off and will definitely look to return at some point in the future."

"We really enjoyed our stay. You have a lovely property which is perfect for exploring East Devon. We loved Exmouth beach, fish & chips in Sidmouth and ice cream in Budleigh Salterton. We will be back soon!"

"Really enjoyed our stay, especially enjoyed the quiet/beautiful countryside. East Devon is gorgeous. Will recommend The Hayloft. Many thanks to you both for our welcome."

A perfect place for a holiday!

  • 5 of 5

The Hayloft is clean, comfortable, nicely decorated & furnished and well equipped. Arthur & Tricia could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The property is in a beautiful, rural location yet within easy travelling distance of Sidmouth, Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and other coastal resorts as well as the city of Exeter. The Greendale Farm Shop & Cafe, just down the road, was a great discovery on our first day and we visited several more times during our stay. We had a wonderful holiday with amazing weather and are definitely planning another visit to Devon when we look forward to staying at The Hayloft again. Thank you Arthur & Tricia. See you again soon. Mike & Lynda

Lovely stay

  • 4 of 5

This is a lovely property, very well laid out and attractive. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and we had a fantastic week with non stop sunshine. We visited Exmouth and Teignmouth beaches as well as Pennywell farm and The Donkey Sanctuary. We also had a lovely meal out at The Spice Lounge Indian restaurant in Exmouth.

The property was clean and comfortable, although the extractor fan was cobwebby.

We hope to return next year for another great holiday.

Return to the Hayloft

  • 5 of 5

The listing is very accurate, the layout is well described with very accurate photographs. The property was well maintained and clean. Tricia and Arthur are excellent hosts and yes we would have no problems recommending a stay at the Hayloft.

Well that's the formal bit as requested. A fantastic place to stay in a beautiful setting with a stunning garden and very friendly and helpful owners. I guess as this is our 3rd visit that must indicate how much we love spending time there. Fantastic time - thanks Arthur and Tricia

Peaceful South Devon Accommodation.

  • 5 of 5

My mum and I had a wonderful one week stay at The Hayloft in July.

The owners were a pleasure to deal with - good communication from Tricia prior to our arrival via email, and a pleasant welcome when we arrived.

The property is just as in the pictures and very light with plenty of windows (including Velux). Tricia has decorated it with beautiful fabrics which give it a very homely feel. It has good sized bedrooms with very comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The main living area was very spacious with a well equipped kitchen area and quality dishes, cutlery etc. The whole property was very clean and well maintained.

The photos don't do the garden justice as it is so beautiful and we wish we had more time to sit there listening to the trickling stream.

The Hayloft was a good base for us. Our trips to Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth and the Donkey Sanctuary were only short journeys away.

We hope to return again in the not to distant future.

The Spiller's Return

  • 5 of 5

The listing is very accurate, the location is quite lovely, the layout and facilities are accurately described. The property is clean an very well maintained. Well that's the formal bit. This was our third time at the hayloft, we thoroughly enjoy spending time there and our 8 year old granddaughter just loves the sleepovers with us. Tricia and Arthur are perfect hosts and of course we would recommend the property to friends and family. We were let down at the last minute by a pub in the area but the Cannon in Newton Poppleford came to the rescue - excellent service, meal etc in a very typical pub. We will be booking for next year

Hayloft Happiness

  • 4 of 5

The Hayloft is true to the photos and description given. The fittings and fixtures are high quality and the property is clean and very well equipped. The directions to the property given by the delightful owners were accurate and easy to follow. We had a super time with glorious weather and would particularly recommend the free Sunday night brass band concert in Connaught Gardens in Sidmouth, Beer Village and the south west coastal path which has stunning views of the Jurassic Coast. The local pub in Colaton Raleigh serves good food at reasonable prices and there is a friendly atmosphere and children's playground. We would not hesitate to recommend the Hayloft to our friends and hope to return to further explore the lovely Devon countryside.
