Lovely holiday setting
This property is in the beautiful village of Laroque des Alberes. The apartment has everything you need and the pool area is a lovely place to relax. Laroque des Alberes has plenty of bars and restaurants all a ten minute walk away. There are plenty of places to visit, close to beaches and beautiful countryside A fabulous place for a holiday.

Stay in Laroque
Martin was very helpful and easy to deal with. The property is in a very convenient location 10 mins walk to the village (15 for oldies like us) The garden is very well maintained. The biggest drawback for us was that the sun canopy was awaiting replacement so to eat outdoors everything had be taken downstairs.( It was very hot during our visit) , hence 4stars instead of 5 we would have given it

Great stay!
We had a great time in this house in the lovely village Laroque des Albères. Particularly the pool-area was very nice where you could find shadow under the beautiful trees and swim in 28-30 degrees water. Be observant of mosquitoes though that bite you even during daytime.

Un petit paradis !
Belle location, calme, avec une vue superbe sur les Albères que nous aimons tant ! Les sentiers de randonnées sont quasi aux pieds de la maison. Piscine et terrain arboré très agréables ! Nous avons apprécié également les 2 salles de bains à disposition, dont une créée cette année et l'autre rénovée. Le village de Laroque des Albères est très vivant, avec des restaurants sympas. Enfin, une mention spéciale pour la gentillesse des propriétaires, qui ont été serviables et à notre écoute du début de la réservation sur le site jusqu'à la fin de notre séjour à Laroque !! Carolyn et Martin, ce fut un plaisir de partager un café avec vous, merci encore pour les pâtisseries et à très vite ! Nous reviendrons !! :) Nadine et Alain.

superbe location
Il s'agit d'un appartement au 1er étage d'une maison avec une grande terrasse. Puis d'un accés (avec un escalier extérieur) à l'ensemble de la pisicine, transat, patio avec table et BBQ. Les propriétaires ne sont pas là quand la maison est louée. Les prestations sont de qualitées. Les propriétaire sont d'une grande gentillesse, disponilbes et qui prennent soin du bien être de leur locataire. Ensemble superbe. La location est située dans un jolie village avec les premières comodités à pied. Des randonnées partent directement du village. La mer est à 20mn en voiture. Je recommande cette location et nous reviendrons certainement. Merci pour tout

We are a professional couple who have run our own successful business for more than 25 years in Cheshire, south of Manchester. We have 1 daughter and a lovely cocker spaniel.

We discovered the Languedoc Rousillion area of France in the mid 1980's, when we purchased our 1st property in Collioure

In the late 90's we bought our house in Laroque Des Alberes (FR5984), in a somewhat "tatty" condition. It was purposely built as two self contained apartments on the ground and first floor. The French owner had simply rented them out and done nothing to either apartment or the garden since the day it was built.

But, we could see the potential. So we renovated the 1st floor apt first. Built a swimming pool & sun terrace. Then renovated downstairs for our private use.
There is a BBQ, covered canopy dining area by the pool & lanscaped, colourful gardens

Why they chose this property

The beauty of Laroque (FR5984) is that its only 10 mins from the beaches of Collioure, Argeles & St Cyprien but you are located in the foothills of the Pyrenees with fabulous mountains views behind & a sea view to the front.


It's also extremely quiet in the bustling summer season. 5 minute walk to the the village which oozes character with its small streets, lovely stone properties & the "tour" at the top of the old town.

There is a small selection of good quality, interesting restaurants, cafes and bars. The village also provides a pizza take away & dining area in summer, bread shop, Dr, dentist, pharmacist, hairdressers, library, play park, mini market and weekly market.

What makes this property unique

Superb location. Quiet residential area. 800 metres to the village by road or through the allotments & over the river. Tranquil is a great description for Laroque.

Our rooftop terrace (with access straight off the lounge) offers staggering views of the "Alberes" mountains. How idyllic to sip a glass of local wine watching the moon glide over the mountains with your favourite CD playing softly in the background.

The bathroom has a breathtaking view of Mt Canigou especially between Oct & May when the peak is snow covered.

The tiled pool area is totally private with lovely gardens and a palm tree. 9m x 4m pool with a large surrounding sun terrace. Comfortable sun loungers, shaded canopy for eating or reading. BBQ next to canopy so the men don't feel left out! CDs, Videos & books.
