A three bedroom villa with private pool, garden, three bedrooms and two bathrooms situated beside Fayence in the Var. The town has narrow streets, craft shops, antique dealers and a regular Provencal market. The villa lies near many leisure areas including Lake St. Cassian, the Verdon Gorges, the coast and the amenities of the village including the tennis club and municipal outdoor swimming pool. It is within 2 minutes of Europe's largest gliding centre and many golf courses are also within easy reach. The villa is built to the highest standards, has a shady terrace and upstairs outdoor terrace and terracotta colours. The living room and kitchen open onto the terrace and garden with the swimming pool and garden. The area with its climate, wonderful nature, fine restaurants, great supply of fresh food, festivals and sights together bring about a beautiful place to live and holiday.

About the Owner

Having bought the villa unfurnished in 2007 I have spent the last eight years furnishing it when I could get over to France. The pool was built in 2008 and upgraded in 2015. The photos reflect the interior style I was trying to achieve and the garden and landscaping is maturing well. I think you will find the villa spacious, bright and modern with some Provencal touches.

Absolutely wonderful

We had the most wonderful time at this beautiful villa. It is so lovely and we are really missing it! The layout is very comfortable and homely and the décor is beautifully done. The pool and garden are just a dream and we had such a great time here. Olivier was so lovely and welcoming and Des was such a help to us with arriving at the villa late - lights had even been left on for us when we arrived in the early hours of the morning.

We will definitely be returning to this villa and couldn't recommend it more highly.

Wonderful house!

We had a great time at the house - beautiful house and a wonderful pool. Great with bakery around the corner and short walk to the supermarket. Olivier was a great help - so nice! We recommend going to Lac de Cassian. We had a great time there with our kids - we would definitely come back to the house and the area again. And thanks to Drew for helpfull talks on the phone before we came.

Very comfortable house with excellent amenities

The property was very clean and well maintained with a good amount of space for the 6 of us and excellent internet access. We found everything we needed though we would have liked an extra oven tray as one was not quite enough. Also one more portable air conditioner would have been great as it was extremely hot during our stay and even with the windows open there was not quite enough air flow. We left the one that was available in the hallway with all the bedroom doors open in the evening so we could sleep.

The location is great a very short distance to the supermarket, boulangerie, village of Fayence with the best ice cream seller around. The lake was also easy to get to and a wonderful place to spend a day either on the pedalos or the water park by the big bridge. The motorway and interior roads to get down to the coast were well indicated and easy to follow for trips to Accrobranche and Aqualand.

The house is in a very quiet location with good security and we really enjoyed the time we spent there.

I would definitely recommend this house and the owners who were very friendly and available.

Very pretty villa

Our family spent a wonderful two weeks at this beautiful villa.It was very well appointed with everything we could have possibly needed during our stay, The villa had been decorated to a very high standard and the garden and pool area were delightful. It is set in a very quiet area, in a gated community which made it feel very secure. We were six adults but the villa still felt very spacious and airy. The beds were so comfortable, especially the super king size! The area is so varied with something for all the family, including lakes, sea, beautiful villages and some amazing mountain roads. You can also hire bikes locally in Montauroux. We would definitely recommend this pretty villa to others.

Fabulous Fayence

Perfect house in a gated area ideal for either relaxing around the pool or using as a base to explore. House layout, furnishings and condition were all perfect. We were met by Olivier, who was on hand, courteous and helpful. We'd highly recommend and fully intend to come back at some point in the future. Ps. Try the gliding nearby, it's superb!

Perfect family holiday

We were so lucky to spend our holiday in this beautifiul house in charming Fayence. Spacious, tasteful and bright rooms troughout the house, with everything a family needs to live well while enjoying the south of France.

The outside area is beautiful, the pool is pure bliss - and secure for small children as there is an alarm.

Olivier took excellent care of us during the stay, and made sure we had everything we needed at all times.

A car is recommended, and it is easy to get to wonderful sites in the area. Thank you Elaine and Des!

The property is within easy reach of the Cote d'Azur yet quietly positioned in the Var countryside. Fayence village is perched on a hilltop, the villa is within 5 minutes of the hill base and looks towards the village. The area with its climate, wonderful nature, wonderful restaurants, festivals and sights together bring about a beautiful place to live and holiday. You can travel easily to nearby Saint Cassien lake with watersports, the Verdon Gorges, skiing at Greolieres les Neiges(50km), Europe's largest gliding centre (2 minutes) and numerous golf courses. The tennis club and outdoor municipal pool are within walking distance (2 minutes by car). It is just 15km to the A4 motorway, 26 km to beaches at Saint Raphael and Frejus,50km to Nice airport.

A car is essential to make the most of this location and the sights. Direct bus (3003) from Nice airport terminals to Les Adrets about 15 minutes drive from house so taxi pick up possible.

Distances:

Lac St Cassian 5 minute drive. Montauroux village and other shops and banks 5 minute drive. Fayence swimming pool, tennis etc 2 minute drive; village hilltop 5 minutes. Grasse 20 minutes drive. Cannes 30 minute drive. Nice 50 minutes. Bus service to Grasse, Cannes and Saint Raphael Draguignan.

The villa is built to the highest standards combining the convenience of a modern home with traditional Provencal style, weathered tile roof, shady terrace, upstairs outdoor terrace and terracotta colours. The living room and kitchen open onto the terrace and garden with the swimming pool and adjoining garden. The contemporary style of the furniture and furnishings are combined with Provencal touches which together create a comfortable, modern but Provencal style. All fittings throughout are modern and new. A wood burning stove is available for chilly nights off season. Guests will have the support of our friend who lives within 3 minutes for help and upkeep of the pool,villa and garden.

  • Notes on accommodation: The house was purchased newly built in 2007 and furnished over the last eight years to combine a fresh contemporary feel with Provencal touches. Fans and a mobile air-conditioning unit available. The air conditioning unit can be used to cool bedrooms in periods of very warm weather. Outside: The pool is 8x4 m further extended by a metre by roman steps. It has three pool beds and two pool chairs. It is extensively tiled and is maintained weekly and as necessary by a friend who lives close by. The pool is for the sole use of the Villa's guests. It is 1 metre deep at the shallow end sloping to 1.6 metres at its deepest point. The pool area is reached through a small arch from the outer garden and from the terrace. Parking is reserved at the villa at the gate and front door as required. Utility Room: Well equipped and spacious with washing machine, airing rack, storage presses, ironing board and iron, and main boiler. It is situated between the garage and kitchen. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels (including pool) and linen are included. Cleaning and washing of linen / towels during the stay is the responsibility of the guests. Bookings include an end of stay clean up. Please ensure that you leave the property as you would expect to find it. Other: The front door opens into a large hall and then through double-paned glass doors into the living area.
