About the Owner

I first visited Estepa in 2004 & fell in love with the place instantly. I purchased the house there & then on my first visit. Over a number of years I had it totally reformed by a local Spanish master builder. The house retains its original Spanish charm with a modern twist.

The property makes the ideal base to explore & discover the real Spain. Although Estepa is a town it actually feels like a small village. Take a stroll down the narrow streets & pop into one of the many tapas bars,sample some of the local dishes. The Spanish are so friendly & make you feel very welcome. Estepa appeals to all age groups, everybody I have taken to the house has loved there stay. Enjoy the stunning morning views from the terrace while having breakfast or maybe just relax in the evening in the hot tub!

Estepa is a little gem of a town both to relax in and to use as a base to explore Granada, Seville, Cordoba. You will need a car but the aforementioned places can be reached by train - there are 2 stations fairly close by and cars can be left overnight.

The house was perfect for us - an original Spanish townhouse that had been carefully restored and modernised. Everything we required was provided for, the house was spotless and we received a warm welcome from Ian and Norma on arriving plus a great welcome pack including wine and beer!

The town has a vast array of tapas bars and restaurants and we could easily have eaten at a different place every evening. If you are looking for English food Estepa isn't the place to come to. We walked nearly every morning - it was too hot at any other time - and there are no shortage of walks to follow and things to see.

Jono, thank you for all your help including very clear directions on how to reach the house - we will be back!

There are some wonderful places to visit , Osuna is a great Spanish town , 10 minutes drive away. Approx 40 minutes drive are the beautiful lakes & the Spanish National Parks. Granada , Seville & the coastal resorts are approx 1 hours drive. Theres also plenty to do in Estepa itself, just exploring on foot.

Activity and Interests


The coast is approx 1 hour drive away, there are many lakes & parks within a 30 mile drive.


Malaga, Granada & Seville airports are all within approx a 1 hour drive.

Airport collection can be arranged.


Ronda, Cordoba,Seville & Granada are approx a 1 hour drive, there are also plenty of smaller towns to discover as well as national parks & beautifull lakes.

Further Details:

There is plenty to do in the town with many places of interest to discover. Supermarkets, local market, churches, shops, swimming pool,tapas bars & restaurants are all within walking distance.
