Villa in La Manga Club, - Close To Golf, Tennis, Shops And Restaurants.

El Rancho 94 is a comprehensively equipped (including free wifi), comfortably furnished and tastefully extended 2 bedroom villa on 2 floors plus roof terrace, sleeping up to 4 people, with cot, stair gates and high chair available if required. It provides considerably larger bedrooms and living area than do the average El Rancho two bedroom properties. The villa has three terraces, providing year round sun or shade throughout the day and is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. Two swimming pools and two paddling pool are within 30 metres of the villa through landscaped and traffic free gardens. Many of La Manga Club's shops, restaurants and leisure facilities are within walking distance, and off-Club shops and restaurants, as well as several sandy beaches, are a short drive away. The area provides good walking and off-road cycling opportunities with some spectacular coastal scenery.

The villa contains an 'L' shaped lounge/dining room, each area comfortably furnished for up to 6 people. The lounge has a CD/DVD player and a 40" LCD TV linked to the Club cable TV network providing Sky Sports, Films, BBC, ITV etc. There is a good selection of CDs, DVDs, games and books. As the owners live in the villa themselves through most of the winter months, the separate kitchen is comprehensively equipped and includes a full sized oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dish-washer. Basic provisions are included on a use and replace if necessary basis. The living area, which is level with the pools and gardens, also has a separate cloakroom/toilet.

The two en-suite bedrooms are on the lower floor, which is level with the car-parking area and quiet road access. There are two 3' beds in the twin bedroom and a 5' bed in the double bedroom. There is ample room in either bedroom for a cot. The twin bedroom has a 24" LCD TV connected to the Club cable TV network. All linens and towels (beach, bath and hand) are provided.

About the Owner

We live in retirement in the south of England but spend a good part of our time at La Manga during the winter months. Not only is the climate kinder, but the facilities and surroundings of the La Manga region appeal to our tastes. We are golfers, tennis players and walkers, and La Manga Club has all of this and more right on the doorstep. The facilities are among the best in Europe and the scenery is stunning. We have owned El Rancho 94 for 10 years having owned a smaller property on the Club for 3 years before that. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do.

Our first stay at El Rancho out of 3 visits in 2 years to La Manga Club. This is by far the best villa we have stayed in. Nice and quiet at night with a great range of pools to choose from. Great having the bedrooms downstairs making it cooler at night, good to have aircon in the bedroom too.. Really good facilities in this villa with a good range of maps and information. We couldn't fault it at all. Sad to leave.

El Rancho is one of the most scenically landscaped and conveniently located communities on La Manga Club. El Rancho 94 has been extended to provide larger rooms than most other 2 bedroom villas on El Rancho and, unusually, offers a cloakroom on the living level.

The Club has its own secluded cove, beautifully situated among cliffs, about a five minute drive or half an hour walk away. There are numerous other sandy beaches a short drive away, including some very safe places on the Mar Menor suitable for small children.

For the more active there are several stunning coastal walks directly from the villa as well as many interesting and scenic hill walks within easy reach.


Murcia Airport at St Javier is a 25 minute drive away, and Alicante just over an hour. A hire car is recommended and can easily be arranged at the airports or on the Club. If required, a collect and return service can be arranged through our management company for a charge less than that of local taxis.


The nearest large town, about 20 kms away, is Cartagena, which has several fascinating historic sites dating back to Roman times. About 10 km in the opposite direction is the quaint fishing village of Cabo de Palos, a popular spot for a stroll and refreshment at the harbour edge. The elegant city of Murcia is about a one hour drive.

A folder of information in the villa contains details of many other places of historic and scenic interest in the region.

Further Details:

La Manga Club has a number of banks and ATMs, 2 supermarkets, several gift and clothes shops, estate agents, a chemist, a medical centre, a post office and a fuel station. There are numerous bars and restaurants, about four within easy walking distance of the villa and many others elsewhere on the Club and in the surrounding areas. The La Manga Club Tennis Centre has 28 courts with clay, astraturf and hard surfaces to choose from and with tuition for all ages if required.

The Club Spa facility includes a 25m indoor pool, saunas, jacuzzis and a large gymnasium as well as treatment rooms for many health and beauty therapies.

An active Junior Club provides some very popular activities and care for children aged from 3 months to 12 years.

Other sports available include mountain biking, lawn bowls, cricket, football, rugby, squash and paddle tennis, and within a very short distance are horse-riding, go-carting, scuba diving and numerous other water sports. Various Club activity centres can arrange access to all of these.

Changeover Day:
Arrival and departure days are negotiable as are lengths of stay, although we normally take only a minimum 7 night booking during the high season.
Our management company will normally "Meet and Greet" if arrival is during the day, although the keys are always available in a combination key safe at the villa. A small welcome pack of provisions (tea, coffee, sugar and milk) is included, although additional items can be ordered in advance and settled in cash with our management company.
Unless otherwise arranged, arrival time is from 4pm and departure time by 10am.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week, are in UK pounds and are fully inclusive. We offer a 5% discount for repeat business. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. We do not take online bookings or payment as Owners Direct/Home Away will charge you an additional 6 to 8% for the service if we do.

A £100 per week non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking with the balance due 8 weeks before commencement. In the event of cancellation within the 8 weeks, a refund of the balance will be made only if we take a suitable replacement booking. You are encouraged to take out suitable cancellation insurance.

Our attraction to this property was its large south west facing front terrace overlooking the gardens, its easy access to the pools, and its convenient rear access to car parking. Further benefits are the larger than average rooms and a convenient living level cloakroom.

  • Notes on accommodation: The villa is fitted with free wireless broadband, also with full reverse cycle heating and air-conditioning with separate controls in the living room and bedrooms. The villa telephone will accept incoming calls and provide free access to other villas and outlets on La Manga Club. Off-Club calls can be made from the Club telephone exchange, although mobile telephone coverage is excellent. Outside: Each of 3 terraces is equipped with table and chairs. There is also a barbecue, sun umbrella and 2 sun loungers on the roof terrace. The front and rear terraces at the lounge level are each accessed through french doors. The communal swimming pools are reached through traffic free landscaped gardens to the front of the villa. There is ample car parking close to the rear of the villa. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, tea towels, bed linen and swimming towels are provided and normally changed weekly. Rental includes cleaning before and after your visit by our local management company. Additional cleans and linen changes can be arranged at extra cost. Other: A walk-in cupboard on the bedroom level contains an iron and ironing board as well as some childrens toys and beach equipment. Bedroom 2 has a 24" television connected to the La Manga Club TV network.
