The apartment is fully furnished with everything you need for your holiday. There is a balcony off the sitting room and a staircase leads to a private roof terrace, ideal for sunbathing or dining on warm summer evenings. there is a sunshade in case it gets too warm! There's no need to hire a car, everything is close at hand - beach, shops, excellent restaurants and transport links. It's very easy to get to Barcelona for a day out or to Port Aventura theme park in Salou on the train. The station is just 10 minutes walk from the flat. The flat is in an ideal location to enjoy not only the village atmosphere in the old Plaza but the beautiful promenade and marina at the beach.

The flat is located in the heart of the village of Torredembarra with everything needed, shops, restaurants, transport links all within easy reach. It is a real community, and not just a holiday resort, so even out of season, although quieter,it still retains a village atmosphere. What makes this apartment unique

Easy access from either Reus or Barcelona airports make Torredembarra an ideal location for a short getaway break.

The flat is very light and bright with no gloomy interior rooms and has a very private roof terrace which is ideal for dining or sunbathing.

Notes on accommodation: There are room fans for very hot weather, but as the flat is on the corner of the block all the rooms have outside windows, which helps to keep the flat cool. There are plug in room convector heaters for cold weather. Outside: Roof terrace with sun awning, granite table and chairs, 2 sun loungers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean linen and towels provided (not beach towels). Apartment cleaned for arrival and after departure. Babysitting can be arranged through our English key holder. Other: Balcony with table and 4 chairs. Roof terrace with granite table and chairs and sun loungers. Sun awning.

Our second holiday in wonderful Torredembarra

Our second visit to this property. As before the flat is lovely, so comfortable, bright, spacious and clean. It's right in the centre of town, so perfect for visiting local shops (wonderful - cheap - wine, fresh bread, lovely cakes, cheese, all few minutes away), restaurants and the bars in the plaza all very good. Maggie provides a factsheet that is very informative and comprehensive about local amenities. Beach is amazing and just a few minutes walk away from the flat, with more restaurants and bars to visit after an exhausting day sunbathing! In our opinion an excellent holiday destination.

We had the most lovely time in Torredembarra. The flat was perfectly situated close to the old town square and about 10 mins from the beach. Maggie was so helpful when booking and responded to all queries really quickly. The flat was really clean and very well equipped, the roof terrace was a great place for sunbathing and for lounging around in the early evening as generally there was a nice breeze. We travelled to Barcelona on the train only an hour away - took the city tour bus, the boys went to football in the evening and I did some shopping - so great all round. We will most definitely be back.

Great property in ideal location

We have just returned from an 11 night stay travelling as a family of 4...2 adults, Teenager and child. Torredembarra is amazing and has a lot to offer with probably the best beach i've been to having traveled quite a bit!!! The apartment was spotless, comfortable and provided everything you could need. The location was very convenient to square for relaxing with a bottle of wine and some tapas in the evening. An excellent supermarket a few doors from apartment sold delicious wine straight from the barrel at only 1.30 Euros a litre which i would highly recommend. The roof terrace was perfect for a lazy morning in sun before lunch also. We would seriously recommend staying here if you want to experience an authentic Spanish holiday away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. We spoke no Spanish but managed fine as the locals are so friendly and helpful.

Lovely flat, close to beach and train station

The flat was clean and tidy it had everything that we needed for our holiday, the roof top terrace was great to use in the evenings, there was a folder explaing how everything worked and information about the area. The beach was a ten minute walk away with lots of restaurants along the sea front and the train station again was a ten minute walk which we used 3 times be prepared to wait they didn't seem to run on time unless we were very unlucky, the ride to Barcelona takes you along the coast in just an hour. We had a great week and would recommend this to any.

Great apartment and a fantastic town

We had a fantastic stay in this apartment which is well positioned in this most beautiful town. A short stroll finds the bustling cafes and restaurants and under 10 minutes and you will find the beach which is stunning. The apartment has everything you need and was cosy enough to keep our two young boys occupied, the roof terrace being a real bonus to enjoy long lunches. Torredembarra was just what we hoped, typically Spanish with hardly any English voices, a real gem that we will be sure to return. Also a great destination to reach Barcelona on the train at the end for a few extra days, it takes 1 hour and is very cheap. Maggie helped with any advice we needed so all in all a great holiday!

The apartment is very close (less than 10 minutes walk) to the beach. There is a marina at one end and the old fishing village at the other. There are pedalos and sun loungers and umbrellas available for hire. On summer evenings there are trampolines and market stalls. The beach itself is wide and sandy and very safe staying fairly shallow for quite a long way out. Ideal for children. The beach is beautiful and even in the summer it never becomes as overcrowded as the beaches in other areas of Spain. Walking towards Creixell (away from the Marina end) you reach a wild undeveloped stretch of shore line - a recognised nature sanctuary


The nearest airport is Reus about 20 minutes by taxi. Alternatively Barcelona Airport is about and hour and half by train or just under an hour by car. We can put you in touch with an excellent taxi company which can arrange collection from Reus or Barcelona airports and which can be paid in advance by credit card.

We are about 10 minutes walk to the station, for trains to Barcelona, Tarragona and Salou, and there is a very good local bus service to the next village of Altafulla and on to Tarragona. You can avoid hiring a car as everything you need is only a walk away.


Tarragona is about 15 minutes away by bus or train. Barcelona centre is about 1 hour by train and Port Aventura in Salou is easily reached by train in about 20 minutes. Torredembarra has all the shops and restaurants you need and all are close at hand.

Further Details:

The apartment is located in the centre of the village just a moment away from the village square with its pavement cafes, ideal for having a drink and watching the world go by. Bakers, supermarkets, banks, pharmacy, hairdressers, clothes shops, bars and restaurants all close at hand. The old village is a maze of narrow winding streets, and close to the town hall, which was once the castle, there is a weekly market and an antiques market on Saturday evenings. The beautiful beach just a few minutes walk away is nearly a mile long, with a modern marina at one end and the original fishing village at the other. There are excellent restaurants in the marina overlooking the harbour, and many more bars and restaurants along the promenade to the other end, all with outside eating areas. Enjoy tapas or a menu del dia or just a drink. On summer evenings you will find stalls selling jewellery, leather and more. Torredembarra is a Catalan resort where many families from Barcelona and inland towns have their second homes - you will hear very few English voices.

Unless you want to explore inland it is not necessary to hire a car as everything is nearby, and days out to Barcelona, Tarragona and Salou (Port Aventura) can all be done by train.

Wifi - We do not have wifi in the flat but it is available at most bars and restaurants, just ask for the 'contrasena'. Alternatively you can rent a portable wifi box for €6.99 a day for unlimited use during your stay, please ask for details.

We recommend a visit to Tarragona, the Roman ruins there are exceptional and the Ramblas in the centre leading up to the Mediterranean Balcony is lined with interesting shops, bars and restaurants with outside seating. The cathedral area, the old town centre is fascinating.

A day trip to Barcelona is easily achievable - the train takes you into the centre - Passeig de Gracia which is just a short stroll to the Placa Catalunya and the start of the Ramblas. Beware of pickpockets in Barcelona. There is so much to see there, using the Tourist Bus is an easy way to get round everything.

Port Aventura is a favourite for children as is the Aqua Park in La Pineda - both easy to reach on public transport.

Torredembarra has something for everyone - a wonderful beach, lovely restaurants, a quaint old town, shops, easy access to children's attractions and historical sites and museums. Do get in touch if you wold like more information.
