Apartment in La Mata, Costa Blanca, Spain - Close To Amenities With 2 Pools, Balcony and Small Garden

Lovely two bedroom apartment which sleeps 4/5 adults in safe gated complex. The 2 excellent communal pools are surrounded by lawns and flower beds. The large pool is open peak season only (with lifeguard) but the second pool is open all year round.

La Mata is located just 10 minutes drive from Torrevieja. However, the location of this property means that a car is not a necessity. A local bus will take you directly into the town centre/harbour area of Torrevieja.

A 15 minute level walk will take you to the main town square of La Mata with numerous restaurants and Spanish style tapas bars. Pharmacy and minimarket are 2 mins away. 4-5 minutes walk to the blue flag, sandy beach of La Mata. 3 mins to the gorgeous waterfall park & 15 mins walk to the natural park and salt lake which is a lovely area for a picnic or stroll where you may see a number of birds including flamingos and hoopoes. A street market takes place weekly.

Our apartment at Parque Mar 1, La Mata, is an ideal place for both couples and families alike.

Great Location Lovely Apartment

This was the first time we have directly rented an apartment and Derek made it very easy for us, all communications were quick and helpful. We hired a car and the directions to the apartment were spot on. The agent met us at the property, she was very helpful.

Our 2 daughters (19 & 15) loved the very clean pools with lifeguards. The nearby beach, just a few minutes walk away was very clean and the sea was very inviting.

There are lots of nearby bars and restaurants. We would recommend Casa Nana on Avenida de Francia which served delicious food also the many bars and restaurants along the boardwalk and in the Town Plaza. Look out for the Menu Del Dias, a 3 course meal with a drink for approx.10 Euros, usually served from 1-4pm.

The apartment was like a home from home, there was even a safe in the main bedroom. We used the washing machine in the apartment as someone had kindly left some washing tablets, however we had to buy washing up liquid and toilet rolls. Fortunately there were tea towels and dish cloths available.

La Mata is a small Spanish town with lots of character. We didn't come across many English people, which was just how we liked it.

We will definitely be visiting again and hopefully in this apartment.

Great location, very typically Spanish apartment.

We had a fabulous time. The apartment was perfectly situated, just half an hour from Alicante airport and very easy to find. It was less than 5 minutes walk from a beautiful beach with promenade, shops and restaurants and a slightly longer walk into the town of La Mata with a wealth of shops, restaurants and cafes and a weekly market.

We also took the bus into Torrevieja (very reasonable at only E1.35 each way) to experience the nightlife, fun fair, night market etc. Other days out included Rio Safari and Aquapolis both of which were only a short drive away. We also spent a fair bit of time on the beach and made good use of the apartments pools!

Both pools were beautifully maintained, very clean and never busy. They are also supervised by lifeguards, which is reassuring.

The apartment itself was clean, well-equipped and perfect for what we needed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone and we are definitely considering booking again in the future.

Fantastic

Przepiekne miejsce. Apartament bardzo czysty i urzadzony. Znajduje sie w super lokalizacji ok 5 min spacerem od plazy i parku oraz innych udogodnien. Na terenie kompleksu znajduja sie super dwa baseny utrzymane w czystosci. Polecam w 100%. Napewno jeszcze wrocimy.

Absolutely fantastic!

Absolutely fantastic. The apartment is lovely and clean as well as being in a perfect location. The community is great, people are so friendly and welcoming, it felt like being at home but with much nicer weather. Local amenities are spot on as well.

The owners and contacts over in spain were lovely and really helpful and there is an information and guide pack upon arrival which really helped us make the most of our stay there.

We will definitely be revisiting and would recommend staying there to all.

Highly recommended - great apartment

A great apartment with 2 good sized bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a large balcony that comfortably seats 4. The apartment is within a lovely small complex that has lots of beautiful, mature gardens and 2 fabulous pools. The apartment is only 6 or 7 minutes walk from La Mata's fantastic beach and promenade.

We have stayed here many times and love both the apartment and La Mata - we thoroughly recommend a stay

Great apartment, felt really at home. Near the beach and other facilities and lovely to sit out on the balcony. Felt clean and safe and great for our two young boys.

Special interest holidays:

La Mata, with it's long daylight hours of sunshine, exceptional areas of natural beauty, salt lakes and long stretch of sandy blue flag beach, offers a wide range of holidays: lazing on the beach, walking, wildlife - and with Torrevieja, a large bustling town, only a 15 minute bus ride away (bus stop located 2 mins walk from the apartment) with it's palm-lined promenade, street market, fairground and plenty of bars and restaurants offering international cuisine and large supermarkets/shopping centre, what more could you want from a holiday?

Coast/Beach:

A 3-4 min walk finds you on the long sandy stretch of blue flag beach that runs along the coastline of La Mata. Bars, restaurants and tapas huts line parts of the beach and during peak season life guards monitor swimming in the calm blue sea. A red cross hut is situated towards the town end of the beach.

Travel:

Alicante airport is approx. 30 minutes drive to the North of La Mata and Murcia (San Javier) airport approx. 40 minutes to the South. Both serve a number of low cost airlines.

Distances:

The main town and shops of La Mata are a 10 minute walk either through the Spanish streets or along the beachfront. La Mata boasts a pretty town square and church and hosts many local festivals throughout the year. We provide an information pack to anyone booking a holiday at our apartment which gives details of sightseeing in the local area as well as further afield, with or without a car.

50 euros cleaning/laundry costs are payable to our agent upon your arrival at the apartment.
Agreed rental costs are non-refundable.

A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remainder payable 6 weeks prior to departure. We require a £100 refundable deposit in case of breakages / damage. This is payable 6 weeks prior to commencement of your holiday.

  • Outside: 2 pools are located within the complex, one is open all year round (titled 'pool 2' in the photos); the other in peak season only. The apartment and pools are located within a secure gated complex that has pretty and well-kept garden areas. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels/linen are provided but bring your own beach towels (available for hire if reqd). If a mid-holiday change of linen is required, there will be an additional 50 euro charge. Other: The apartment also features a small ground floor garden area giving an alternative quiet place to sit. Welcome pack, airport transfers, wifi and nursery items can be arranged at additional cost.
