5 Mins Walk to Super Morzine Lift, Less than 10 Mins Walk to Town

Chalet Le Riez is a traditional chalet that has 3 bedrooms on the first floor with cosy carpets and an open plan lounge, fully stocked kitchen, dining area on the ground floor. Situated on a quiet road only 5 minutes walk from the Super Morzine cable car and less than 10 minutes walk into town where you can find numerous restaurants and bars. You can get to the Pleney cable car by a 10 minute walk or a short ride on the 'Petite Train' which starts at the end of the road (by the Super Morzine lift). The free bus runs along the road behind the chalet, 2 mins away. There is a supermarket 2 minutes walk away. You will find a 32" LCD TV with English freeview, free wifi and and all you need for a home away from home. There is lockable storage for skis/snowboards which also holds up to 4 mountain bikes and additional bike storage for 3 adult bikes in a secure protectacycle store. About Debbie Porter

We are a family living the UK with family in Morzine too. We all love our skiing holidays and all of our three children have begun to ski from 3 years old. Having a base in Morzine enables us to get out there both in Winter and Summer to explore the whole Portes du Soleil area.

Why Debbie Porter chose Portes du Soleil area

We brought our property as we love Morzine and it has a lot to offer. It's a very traditional town with a modern twist and has a large ski area on offer. There are challenging golf courses in the Summer and a large outdoor pool with children's play pool as well as extensive mountain biking trails. New and open for Jan 2012 is a new indoor pool, children's pool, saunas and steam room. We wanted somewhere as a base for us when visiting family so are not interested in profit and it took us 2 years to finally take the plunge. We offer very reasonable prices for the area as we'd prefer that someone else can enjoy our lovely chalet and enjoy their holiday too.

What makes this chalet unique

Our chalet is a great location with everything within reach by foot or bus. It is well looked after by our family who live in Morzine and we pride ourselves in offering the comforts of home. Crisp bed linen and large fluffy towels are provided with hairdryers for your convenience. A library of DVDs, English freeview TV, free wifi and board games can help while away the cosy evenings or maybe the local restaurants and bars can entice you out. You will find our alpine home very homely and it will meet your needs perfectly.

"A very comfortable chalet situated close to all of the main amenities, including gondola stations, yet quietly situated away from the main thoroughfares.

Debbie was most helpful with advice before we travelled, and Kev was equally helpful once we had arrived.Supermarkets and restaurants are within a short walking distance and the kids (14 & 11) really enjoyed their ski lessons with the resort-based BASS instructors ("best lessons ever").

We have no criticisms to offer and can only thoroughly recommend this chalet as an excellent base for your holiday in Morzine"

Notes on accommodation: Ample storage space for clothes. Main bathroom downstairs and an additional toilet upstairs. Balcony from bedroom 1. Cot and highchair available on request. Hairdryers near mirrors in 2 bedrooms. Iron and ironing board provided. Outside: Private drive for 1 vehicle, parking for other cars on the road behind the chalet. Lockable storage shed for skis, boards, boots and up to 4 bikes. Additional protectacycle bike store for 3 bikes. Outside tap. Utility Room: No washing machine available due to limited space however there are 2 laundrettes in town, one only 10 minutes walk by the Tourist Information office. A retractable line and pegs provided for outside drying. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and 2 towels ( 1 bath sheet & 1 hand towel) each are provided and changed on a weekly basis for each new booking. Cleaning is carried out before/after each stay.Tea towels and washing up cloth & sponge provided.

Lovely Chalet with a good location and easy access to the town and ski lifts. The facilities were really good with a good size lounge area. Dealing with the owners was easy and created no problems. Would definitely use the Chalet again.

Chalet le Riez was a great find! The owners and local contact were very helpful and responded quickly to queries. The chalet was comfortable, warm, well equipped and ideally situated. We would certainly try to book it again for a ski trip based in Morzine..

Comfortable chalet in great location

This a small but cosy chalet with enough space for our family of 5 including 3 teenagers. Very comfortable bedrooms, and good kitchen and dining facilities. Only a few yards from ski bus stop, which gets you to the main lifts in Morzine. Supermarket also very near. On a very quiet road, zero traffic noise. Flat 10-minute walk into town centre.

Excellent location. Well-equipped.

We enjoyed a week in Morzine in August to go walking. Excellent base with lots of walks in surrounding areas but don't expect the local walking guides to always be up to date, quite a few of the routes have changed or seem difficult to find.

The apartment is on two levels, compact and cosy. Clean and well-maintained. Owner was helpful. Kitchen and bathroom well-equipped and as described on the website. A washing machine for dirty clothes, however, would have been useful.

Outdoor and indoor swimming pool complex is excellent.

Geneva is worth a day trip, only about an hour's drive away if you need a break from walking/cycling.

excellent position, very cosy, and well equipped

This property is so convenient for the shops and ski lifts. It is very warm, cosy and always extremely clean. the owners are extremely helpful re. any queries before the holiday and there is a great contact in the town who is there for anything required. A great place to stay - I would recommend to friends etc. and we have returned many times. Great holidays.

A deposit of 25% is required at time of booking with a completed booking form. The final deposit is payable 8 weeks before departure and the returnable £300/€300 security deposit is payable 1 week before your holiday. A copy of our terms and conditions will be forwarded to you and supersede the cancellation conditions set my Owners Direct . Guests are kindly asked to leave our alpine home in an acceptable condition on departure. Please check our up to date availability calender before submitting your enquiry.

Changeover Day:
Saturday to Saturday. The chalet can be accessed from 4pm on arrival day and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Short breaks available outside of peak times, please ask us.
