My multigenerational family of 10, ages 77 to 3 months, had a spectacular week at Villa Kitrini. Patrick met us at a local supermarket so we could stock up on groceries and then showed us around the house. During our stay he went out of his way to help us with a couple of little emergencies, which was greatly appreciated.
The house and pool were a source of great enjoyment day and night. We loved eating at the tiled table facing the pool and spent time reading on the varied terraces with different views of the mountain and olive trees. Other highlights were our visits to the gorgeous Voidokilia beach, the ancient World Heritage Olympic games site, and lunch outside at the Garden Taverna in Olympia, where the staff were so helpful and gracious. We also will always remember the surprise 40th birthday dinner we gave my daughter. Heidi had recommended a bakery in Kyparissia, where we met a charming baker who delivered an amazing cake with ice cream to the only restaurant in the nearby village of Stasio. We had a delicious meal there outdoors (the waiter told us his father made the red and white wine being served) where the children could play, and the owner/cook couldn’t resist holding the baby. We will never forget the Greek hospitality we experienced in the Peloponnese, with many thanks to Patrick and Heidi as well for their warm welcome and for making their beautiful house available to other families like ours.
