Apartment in Playa Flamenca, Costa Blanca, Spain - Well Equipped Air-Conditioned Apartment

This is the only Ground Floor apartment available for rent on this complex that has direct access to the pool. There are 8 steps up to the front door and therefor has no disability access. Others are on the first floor facing busy roads. Luxury end of terrace 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor apartment (with only one other apartment above), and large south facing raised terrace area for breakfast/lunch/relaxing in the sun during the day and drinks in the evening. There is an awning if extra shade is required! Six steps lead down to own gated and balustrade patio garden which leads out to the grassed swimming pool area. In one of the best positions within the small gated and secure development being only a few minutes walk to local commercial centre with its shops, bars and restaurants but far enough away from it to be unaffected by any noise. Only 10 minutes walk to the lovely local beach so so renting a car is not a necessity here. There are four supermarkets offering a vast range of produce within walking distance. Although we aim to be as flexible as possible the official time for arrival at the apartment is 3pm and for vacating at 11am. Air Conditioning is NOT included in the rental charge. The purchase of a 20 euro card from our agent at 419 and inserted into the meter will start the system.

About Paul & Susie Wyart

Paul and Susie are retired and live in the East Midlands now. They moved from London to be nearer the 7 grandchildren and also the E. Midlands airport making it easy to fly to Spain. Although both are retired, they are very active. Paul plays golf, badminton and enjoys sailing when he can. They both play petanca whenever possible too in Spain and have just joined a walking group. Alternatively we would have to pay them an additional levy for them to hold our money! We prefer to offer a personal service by using Skype, email and phone calls.

We purchased the property from new and have spent many wonderful weeks here. The beach is only a short walk and all amenities such as restaurants, banks, shops and supermarkets are even closer. When looking for a property, we particularly wanted an apartment in a quiet location but overlooking the pool. Please note that the apartment has to be vacated by 11am and arrivals not before 3pm. However, for those on early or late flights luggage can be left on the upper terrace.

I'm glad Rita found everything OK after we left on Friday morning. The

apartment was lovely, really homely and well equipped (the shopping

trolley was especially useful for lugging heavy items back from the

supermarket!!) we had a very nice week doing very little but lounging

around. We tried quite a few of the bars and restaurants across the

road and they were all very good, and Paul the taxi driver was also

very nice and helpful. The weather was getting hotter towards the end

of the week, so we were glad of the air conditioning at night.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment has air-conditioning in the main rooms on a meter system, by a 20 euro card purchased from our onsite agent. There are fans in all main rooms. It is not suitable for families with very young children that require either a cot or high chair as these are not provided. It is non-smoking. Internet is now available at an additional cost of £20 per max two week stay. Although we aim to be as flexible as possible the official time for arrival at the apartment is 3pm and for vacating at 11am. Outside: There is a spacious south facing raised terrace with table and chairs for eating breakfast/lunch/evening meal and loungers for sunbathing/relaxing. The pretty garden/patio area down the steps at ground level is an ideal area for sunbathing and looks directly onto the pools. Sunbeds are stored under beds and in the utility room. Utility Room: Off kitchen and housing washing machine and sun loungers. Shelf units. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: Towels and linen are included in the rental price. The property is cleaned after each changeover for the next guests arrival. A full change of bedding is provided after two weeks. NOTE. Internet will be included for 2018

Amazing apartment with 2 pools right outside of the gate, loved how close everything was..amazing

We stayed for 2 weeks in this amazing place, close to the supermarket , bars and restaurants. Amazing atmosphere and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a relaxing time.

Ideal Position

Comfortable apartment, ideal position overlooking pools, which

we loved, on a very friendly complex. Good for restaurants and shops,

all within easy walking distance. Also good beaches nearby.

Paul the driver provided an excellent service and was very helpful.

We really enjoyed our visit .

The apartment fulfilled all our needs , the complex was lovely and well kept . Lots of bars and restaurants very close and the la zenia boulevard is fantastic for shopping.

Excellent aparrment

We had a wonderful 11 days here. The complex was also wonderful and beautifully clean. With workmen arriving to tend the garden and clean the pool daily.

The apartment was so well situated with the gate leading straight out on to the pool area. Perfect for families with children. The use of inflatables are also allowed here which again was a plus for young families.

Several of the apartments were unoccupied so there was plenty of room around the pool area. Plus the neighbours next door were a dream. The complex overall was really quiet at night. And the air conditioning was a huge bonus for a good night sleep.

The apartment was overall very well equipped with the added bonus of two bathrooms and showers, a washing machine so I was able to take most things home clean, wifi, and a freezer for the children's many ice creams and Lollys throughout the day.

The restaurant complex is across the road offering a huge variety of food. Our favourites were Rustica, Cellar Door, and Papaya Tree. All three we visited twice during our 11 day stay. Rockys was our morning visit for coffee when going to the Supermarket next door. And crazy golf was really good.

We visited the beach once, but it wasn't up to much, especially as the pool area took some beating. We also walked up the the shops within a modern mall where you will find all the shops from home!! Plus there were also more restaurants,but we didn't try any, as our local Centre served us perfectly.

Overall we had a fantastic 11 days and would highly recommend this apartment, especially if you want a really lazy time (like us) within a really nice complex.

Coast/Beach:

The nearest local blue flag sandy beach at Playa Flamenca is a 10 minutes walk away and only a few minutes by car. It is a lovely little bay and a little further on there is yet another little sandy bay highly suitable for children. There is also a secluded naturist beach very nearby. Further on at La Zenia there is a four star hotel and a long stretch of sandy beach which goes on as far as the Dehesa de Campoamor.

Travel:

The apartment is only 20 mins drive from Murcia airport to the south and 45 mins from Alicante to the north. We can arrange for a pick up service with a local English driver to take you directly from either airport to the apartment at a reasonable rate. Car hire is not essential while staying at our apartment unless you wish to see more of the real Spain.

Distances:

Torrevieja is the nearest bustling and popular resort being approx. 10 mins away by car. San Miguel is a small town inland and also about 10 mins away. La Manga is about one hour's drive away.

NB Within walking distance of the brand new La Zenia Boulevard Shopping Complex, with its many famous shops and a whole floor of cafes, restaurants and play areas for the children.

Further Details:

The new La Zenia Boulevard shopping mall has just opened within walking distance. There is the Supercor supermarket nearby with restaurants and shops at La Mosca overlooking the sea is only a few minutes walk and Lidl is a little further on. The commercial centre with its many restaurants, pubs and shops is even nearer but not near enough to spoil the peace and quiet. The Orihuela Costa complex about 5 mins. by car is the nearest place for tennis courts and public swimming pool.

Damage Deposit £100

Booking Notes:
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of total rental price is required at the time of booking to secure it. Balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure plus £100 key/damage deposit. This is refunded on return of keys and subject to there being no damage or excessive cleaning required. Total amount is required on bookings where there is less than 8 weeks to departure. Keys will be posted one week before departure along with diagram of location and other notes.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible. The apartment should be vacated by 12 noon on day of departure for cleaning but this can be negotiable if there is no next day changeover although a small charge for a late stay may be required.

Notes on prices:
A full change of bedding is provided after two weeks for any long stay customers but on the understanding that they wash and iron, if necessary, the dirty bedding and use the washing machine etc. provided.

A meter system for the AC is now installed in the appartment. Card @ 20 Euros can be purchased from our onsite agent.
