Apartment in Playa Flamenca, Costa Blanca, Spain - Well Equipped Air-Conditioned Apartment

This is the only Ground Floor apartment available for rent on this complex that has direct access to the pool. There are 8 steps up to the front door and has no disability access. Others are on the first floor facing busy roads. Luxury end of terrace 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor apartment (with only one other apartment above), and large south facing raised terrace area for breakfast/lunch/relaxing in the sun during the day and drinks in the evening. There is an awning if extra shade is required! Six steps lead down to own gated and balustrade patio garden which leads out to the grassed swimming pool area. In one of the best positions within the small gated and secure development being only a few minutes walk to local commercial centre with its shops, bars and restaurants but far enough away from it to be unaffected by any noise. Only 10 minutes walk to the lovely local beach so so renting a car is not a necessity here. There are four supermarkets offering a vast range of produce within walking distance.

About the Owner

Paul and Susie are retired and live in the East Midlands now. They moved from London to be nearer the 7 grandchildren and also the E. Midlands airport making it easy to fly to Spain. Although both are retired, they are very active. Paul plays golf, badminton and enjoys sailing when he can. They both play petanca whenever possible too in Spain and have just joined a walking group. We have chosen to have customers pay us direct rather than use the web sites payment system because we would rather have the money in our bank account than the web site owners. Alternatively we would have to pay them an additional levy for them to hold our money! We prefer to offer a personal service by using Skype, email and phone calls.

I'm glad Rita found everything OK after we left on Friday morning. The

apartment was lovely, really homely and well equipped (the shopping

trolley was especially useful for lugging heavy items back from the

supermarket!!) we had a very nice week doing very little but lounging

around. We tried quite a few of the bars and restaurants across the

road and they were all very good, and Paul the taxi driver was also

very nice and helpful. The weather was getting hotter towards the end

of the week, so we were glad of the air conditioning at night.

Had a fantastic time at this lovely apartment. Apartment is well equipped with everything our family of four needed and feels like home from home. The location was ideal close to the supermarkets, bars and restaurants but still far enough to be quiet and relaxing if you want it. About a 10 min walk to lovely beaches and also 10 mins from the saturday market which we enjoyed visting. We didn't hire a car as really wasn't needed. Transfer from airport was easy and we picked up a taxi from the rank around the corner to visit Torrevieja which was great. Apartment is on a perfect spot on the complex overlooking the pool. All in all a perfect holiday. Can't wait to go back.

Home from Home

This really is home from home and its position on the complex is ideal. South facing so sun on the terrace all day and a few steps to the pools and grounds which are beautifully maintained. This is our first visit to playa flamenco and this appt and we will be returning. It should be noted that this is a predominantly English ex pat community and this is reflected in the restaurants, bars and entertainment in the area. Short walk to several beaches and a modern mall. This apptnhas everything a couple or family need for a self catering holiday. Highly recommended. Must also compliment the owner on the service, very easy to arrange and always available for questions, the Wi-Fi and cable TV are welcome and air con if necessary.

We purchased the property from new and have spent many wonderful weeks here. The beach is only a short walk and all amenities such as restaurants, banks, shops and supermarkets are even closer. When looking for a property, we particularly wanted an apartment in a quiet location but overlooking the pool.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Murcia at 12 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Rose & Crown at 50 Metres Nearest Golf : Villamartin at 5 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : A7 at 3 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Leonardo at 50 Metres Nearest Beach : Playa Flamenca at 500 Metres


The nearest local blue flag sandy beach at Playa Flamenca is a 10 minutes walk away and only a few minutes by car. It is a lovely little bay and a little further on there is yet another little sandy bay highly suitable for children. There is also a secluded naturist beach very nearby. Further on at La Zenia there is a four star hotel and a long stretch of sandy beach which goes on as far as the Dehesa de Campoamor.


The apartment is only 20 mins drive from Murcia airport to the south and 45 mins from Alicante to the north. We can arrange for a pick up service with a local English driver to take you directly from either airport to the apartment at a reasonable rate. Car hire is not essential while staying at our apartment unless you wish to see more of the real Spain.


Torrevieja is the nearest bustling and popular resort being approx. 10 mins away by car. San Miguel is a small town inland and also about 10 mins away. La Manga is about one hour's drive away.

NB Within walking distance of the brand new La Zenia Boulevard Shopping Complex, with its many famous shops and a whole floor of cafes, restaurants and play areas for the children.

Further Details:

The new La Zenia Boulevard shopping mall has just opened within walking distance. There is the Supercor supermarket nearby with restaurants and shops at La Mosca overlooking the sea is only a few minutes walk and Lidl is a little further on. The commercial centre with its many restaurants, pubs and shops is even nearer but not near enough to spoil the peace and quiet. The Orihuela Costa complex about 5 mins. by car is the nearest place for tennis courts and public swimming pool.

Refundable Damage Deposit £100

Booking Notes:
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of total rental price is required at the time of booking to secure it. Balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure plus £100 key/damage deposit. This is refunded on return of keys and subject to there being no damage or excessive cleaning required. Total amount is required on bookings where there is less than 8 weeks to departure. Keys will be posted one week before departure along with diagram of location and other notes.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible. The apartment should be vacated by 12 noon on day of departure for cleaning but this can be negotiable if there is no next day changeover although a small charge for a late stay may be required.

Notes on prices:
A full change of bedding is provided after two weeks for any long stay customers but on the understanding that they wash and iron, if necessary, the dirty bedding and use the washing machine etc. provided.

A meter system for the AC is now installed in the appartment. Card @ 20 Euros can be purchased from our onsite agent.

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment has air-conditioning in both bedrooms and living room which is on a meter system, card purchased from our onsite agent. There are fans in all main rooms. It is not suitable for families with very young children that require either a cot or high chair as these are not provided. It is non-smoking. Internet is now available at an additional cost of £20 per max two week stay. Outside: There is a spacious south facing raised terrace with table and chairs for eating breakfast/lunch/evening meal and loungers for sunbathing/relaxing. A large awning can provide shade if required. The pretty garden/patio area down the steps at ground level is an ideal area for sunbathing and looks directly onto the pools. Sunbeds are stored under beds and in the utility room. Utility Room: Off kitchen and housing washing machine and sun loungers. Shelf units. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: Towels and linen are included in the rental price. The property is cleaned after each changeover for the next guests arrival. A full change of bedding is provided after two weeks but on the understanding that they wash the dirty washing in the w/machine. Other: Internet at an additional cost of £20 per two week stay. Garden store room, garden tools etc.
