Villa Caledonia is a luxury spacious 4 bed+ 3 bathrooms with private Heated pool system by request, The Villa located within a private residential complex in the lovely village of Otura, just 7 minutes drive away from the beautiful city of Granada and the Alhambra Palace. Otura has great access and public transport to most places of interest. There are lots of amenities in the village itself, supermarkets, great tapas bars, restaurants, shops, and the famous 72 Par long Santa Clara Golf Courseand also the famous tennis courts and sports centre complex Garros. The local outdoor market is held every Wednesday. The Costa Tropical beach resorts are within easy access, 30-35 min away. The main motorway is just 3-4 minutes drive away from the villa and the nearby ski resort of Sierra Nevada is only 28 min away.

The Alpujarras, Lanjaron (with natural springs and thermal waters from Sierra Nevada), Lecrin Valley, lakes and reservoir are also within 20-25 minutes drive.

Please bear in mind that the city of Granada is about 700Mt above sea Level and like ALL other private Villas in the area, the pool water can be a bit too cold for some people, (17 deg. C. or even colder). However, for the benefit or our valued guests we have invested and installed a new Hi-tech temperature enhanced system to our pool already available on request making OUR Property (as far as we are aware) the ONLY Villa with temp enhanced private Pool, able to raise the ambient water temperature to a very pleasant approx 28 deg C., (optional) Discounts for 10 days and longer stays. Sorry, Non-smoking. For groups of 6 people or more, special rates applies, please inquire. Outside: At the front of the villa there is an open long rose garden /terrace with rose and fruit tree gardens. There is also a feature fountain, porch etc. At the rear of the villa, the pool area is sun facing all day. There is a bespoke Pergola with quality BBQ and quality outdoor dining furniture for dining al fresco. There is a folding washing dryer . The pool area has safety life ring, and pool maintenance nets. If the summer heat gets too much for you, there is also a large elevated covered terrace overlooking the pool area which captures the cool breeze with unrestricted and magnificent views of the breathtaking Sierra Nevada mountain range, Granada city and surrounding country side. Very quiet and private location. For early birds, and by popular demand, we are planning this season to introduce a much requested temperature enhanced system to the swimming Pool, unique and 1st in the area, please enquire for availability during your planned rental. Utility Room: Laundry /iron room with washing machine, iron board and iron, separate laundry sink, cleaning utensils, access side door to rose garden. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean towels & bedlinen provided.The Villa is professionally cleaned shortly before arrivals. Brilliant place to stay

The villa exceeded our expectations. It is extremely modern, spacious and luxurious. It was beautifully maintained and everything was in the best of order.

Alejandro, the manager, was attentive and available without being intrusive.

The views from the pool area are superb and the barbecue and dining area are wonderful. Granada is a 15 minute drive away but there is a bus that goes into the city that stops a couple of hundred yards away. It takes 25 minutes and is great for those who do not want to drive.

The villa is on the edge of a small town and restaurants, bars and shopping are all within easy walking distance. The location is fantastic.

The location of the villa makes it a perfect base for those who enjoy walking - Dilar National Park is just a few mins away. Cyclists will enjoy the miles of undulating countryside all around. (We can provide Mountain Bikes for

hire with riding accessories) Golfers & skiers are also well catered for - the slopes are an easy 28 mins & the brand new Santa Clara Golf course is within a couple of minutes. The scenery in this area is very special & will appeal to artists. The famous Alhambra 's main car park can be reached from the villa in about 20 minutes. The city of Granada is about 7km about 8 minutes drive to the city centre.

Coast/Beach:

The magnificent Costa Tropical Beaches (Torrenueva, Motril, Almuñecar, Salobreña etc) is approx 25-30 minutes away by car from the Villa via a modern (just completed) motorway which is accessible just 5 minutes from the villa.

Travel:

The magnificent Costa Tropical Beaches (Torrenueva, Motril, Salobreña, etc) are approx 30 minutes away by car from the Villa. Malaga Airport is approx 124km / 65 minutes away. Almeria Airport 90 minutes. Murcia 2½ hour. There is good public transport (a couple of minutes from the villa) to the city, Alhambra, etc. Airport Transfers may be arranged on request. Distances:

The City centre (Granada) is about 7 minutes from the Villa. The Alhambra, about 18min, Granada Airport is about 20 minutes from the Villa, Malaga Airport is approx 70 minutes away. Almeria airport 90 minutes. Murcia 2½ hour. There is also good, reliable public transport from the villa to the city of Granada (7 Km away) Alhambra, sights seeing, tapas bars etc. There is a bus stop to Granada city centre within 2 minutes walk from the Villa.

Further Details:

Airport transfers on request. There are many shops, supermarket, banks, tapas bars & restaurants in the village and nearby city of Granada, as well as museums and places of interest, such as The Alhambra , Generalife, the Famous Arabe baths, etc. Local markets are held on different days in the surrounding villages -! Otura village has bakers, butchers, chemists, supermarkets, several banks etc, plus many tapas bars & great restaurants

Our villa is perfectly suited for a get out and about and do a bit of local shopping and get to know the friendly locals, laze by the pool or a get up early, swim, play golf, climb a mountain' horse riding etc.
