Great for holidays with friends and family, our 3 villas lend themselves to be the perfect place to enjoy time together. We offer a great location as Camlibel Village is in an up and coming area that still retains its true Cypriot charm. In the village we have a typical Cypriot restaurant, several shops, internet coffee shop and local ice cream cafe to name just a few of the many amenities. The Mavi Kosk Museum, St Pantelimon Monastery and The St Hilarion Vineyard are all worth a visit. For those that would like a more active holiday, there are way-marked walking and biking trails on the doorstep and there is also an hourly bus service from the village centre to the busy Harbour town of Kyrenia. However, we do recommend a hire car to fully explore the island and to make your local shopping easier in the heat of the sun!
We...Richard and Dilys North first came to North Cyprus in 2004 and fell in love with the rural village of Camilbel. We bought a field there and have gone on to develop the site until it is now a quiet retreat containing a main house with a separate flat above and and three bungalow style villas which are available for guests to let. There is also a swimming pool available for guests to use and large paddock area and gardens to explore, our site has boundary walls and hedging making it a secure and private site for families. We often stay in the main house for extended periods now we are semi-retired and love returning as often as we can. Our family also enjoy visiting, especially our daughter Amy and her husband Richard who lived in Camlibel from 2008 until quite recently and love to return to the village where they have made many friends.
North purchased this villa in 2004
Our daughter Amy was the first to go on holiday to Northern Cyprus, as her husband-to-be (at that time) had his parents already retired and living there...She told us how beautiful and unspoilt the island was and so we visited for ourselves! Our land was purchased with a view to building holiday accommodation in a rural setting. Within a week we fell in love with the idyllic setting of the field we bought in Camlibel. We saw its wonderful potential as a fantastic location for walking, which we enjoy in the beautiful pine forests, just a short step away. We also found close by, that there is a picturesque reservoir surrounded by mountains, ideal for quiet rural holidays. We certainly have no regrets about choosing Camlibel as our holiday retreat.
We enjoy staying in Camlibel because, although the whole island is renowned for its beautiful weather, being 825ft above sea level, it enjoys a particularly pleasant climate with little humidity. The walking in the area particularly appeals to us, as there are pine forests to walk straight into from our site and many way-marked trails around the reservoir area opposite the village. We have come to know many of the local people who are most friendly and welcome visitors to their way of life. The local shepherd rides his donkey, as he herds his sheep past the villas daily. So if you feel you’d enjoy a quieter holiday, walking or just relaxing around the pool and enjoying village life in our typical, Cypriot village come and try!
'It was a wonderful experience staying here in your lovely villa. We really enjoyed the peace in a nice and quiet place. Kids loved playing around...everything in the house was so nice, well kept and looked after. It is such a beautiful place to spend time with all the facilities around. It was exactly what we were looking for and will definitely recommend our friends to come and stay here. We had a wonderful holiday and hope to come often to enjoy the beauty of nature here.'

My husband David and I have recently returned from a wonderful holiday at Camlibel holiday villas. We stayed in Oleanders villa which was lovely, clean, modern and spacious. The kitchen/ diner window looked out onto the swimming pool and there was a lovely view of the mountains from the patio. The owners Dilys and Rick North ensured that all amenities were provided such as cutlery, crockery, towels, hairdryer and iron. As well as extras such as our own barbecue and table and chairs for outdoor dining on the patio. They even provided us with a welcome pack containing basic food and drink items as well as beer and wine! This was indeed very welcome after a long flight! They had also devised a brochure which contained details on the best local places to eat, drink and visit as well as all the necessary information we needed about the villa. Dilys and Rick are a lovely, friendly, welcoming couple who also have an extensive knowledge of all that North Cyprus has to offer. They were always on hand to help with any questions or queries we may have had.
We visited many wonderful places during our stay, such as Kyrenia harbour and Bellapais, ate lots of lovely food in beautiful settings and saw some absolutely breathtakingly stunning views.
Staying at Camlibel really gives you a taste of rural life as you see the local farmer with his sheep each day and hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque. Everyone is friendly, waving as you go by and there is a local shop and restaurant within walking distance from the villa.
Camlibel holiday villas is the ideal place to stay to enjoy a tranquil, unspoilt setting whilst also being able to access all the surrounding towns, beaches, harbour and restaurants.
Just back at staying at mountain view villa. Lovely location so relaxing. Villa very clean home from home. Dilly and Rick very friendly and helpful, went out couple of times with them for meals fun times. Would recommend Mando restaurant for there lamb dish, also Seafront restaurant for superb steak. Will miss donkey man and his sheep going past villa with wave and friendly smile each morning. Would highly recommend villa to friends and family. You really need to hire a car and would recommend Ozy car hire so friendly and reliable. Missing Cyprus already.
We travelled with friends to stay at Camlibel Villas for a couple of weeks. They have stayed before, loved it and recommended we try it too. We were not disappointed! The owners were welcoming, friendly and could not have been more helpful. They gave us great tips on local places to visit and were a pleasure to talk to. Our Villa, The Oleanders was spotlessly clean, had all the equipment you could possibly want for self catering and lots of homely touches, too. The flowers, trees and shrubs around the villas are well kept and the whole site is extremely well maintained. A 'pool man' visited twice a week to clean and check the water quality of the swimming pool - and this too is a top quality feature. The owner was out every day "skimming" the pool to ensure it was pristine before we used it. It was so hot when we visited (in the low to mid 30s C) a clean, welcoming pool was a real bonus. We had a day in Kyrenia and went around the castle there - well worth seeing - with frequent stops for refreshments. The harbour is particularly notable with lots of bars and restaurants. Bellapais was probably the highlight of our trips. Set high up in the mountains, the monastry was built in the C13 and although now a ruin, has been well maintained with magnificent views and boasts a good restaurant. The village also has a few quality shops selling local crafts, as well as restaurants and bars. Camlibel village is quite large with a few local shops and a good restaurant. It also has a cheese factory! and we bought some excellent halloumi. Local people are very friendly - even if they do not speak English, they smile and wave. We walked to the next village and the their Mukhtar (head of village) - who spoke a little English - came to greet us, invited us to her home and gave us fresh fruit juice, Turkish coffee and also picked a selection of fruit from her garden for us to sample! Such amazing hospitality! Car rental rates are reasonable and there is a good selection of both local and supermarket shops a short drive away. Camlibel Villas just blew us away. Total chill out if you want to lounge around the pool, or lovely walks to be had through the nearby forest. It really is a little bit of Heaven on Earth. We have just scratched the surface of places to visit and hope to return again to this wonderful, welcoming place, surrounded by stunning scenery.
