About the Owner

We are Gill and Ian Wilson, living in Cheshire. We first visited Fuerteventura twenty years ago, when there were only three restaurants in town and three petrol stations on the whole island!

Four years ago, after years of returning for family holidays, we fulfilled our dream and bought our apartment on Las Rocas.

We don't play golf....yet, but we are definitely going to start, especially as there are two courses on our doorstep!

We have two King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, Ozzy (I love Black Sabbath) and Alfie (Gilly doesn't!).

We love the island, the all year weather and our friends. It's just a fantastic place to have a great time.

Just amazing

We have returned to this wonderful apartment for the 5th time which just shows how fantastic it is. There has been some slight upgrades including wi-if, smart t.v and some new fixtures and furnishings which has made our stay even more magical than before. Dean and Inger the property managers were absolutely lovely and so very helpful. Caleta de Fuste is a beautiful to stay and when you have a a home from home to explore it from it makes the experience even more special. Thank you Ian and Gill for letting us share your home again and we will be back next year!

Relaxing , home from home

Didn't want to come home. This 3 bed apartment really is home from home,

Initial contact and booking and payment with Ian was very easy with really reassuring contact even emailed me a couple of days before we departed to see if there was anything we needed to know etc

this was our 5th visit to the island and each time we visit, we seem to fall in love more with the place. The apartment is in a very quiet but friendly area of Caleta on the golf course , its about 15 minute walk to the beach and the shopping centre or in the day there is a free bus every 30 mins from the nearby hotel, we always hire a car as you really get to see more of the island but its by no means essential when you stay here.

On arrival we were met by Dean and Ingar with the keys, they are a very friendly couple who look after the Apartment , it was immaculately clean and Dean and Ingar really couldn't do enough to make-sure we were comfortable also they live close by or are just a call or text away should you need them.

We are a Family of four toddler and teenager and the Apartment suited all of us , and could quite easily sleep 6 and would suit any age group as there are no steps, Although I like to switch off and enjoy a good book when on holiday , there is Tv with uk channels and Wifi , you dont need to take mountains of clothes with you either as there is a washing machine for you to use , 2 immaculate bathrooms with plenty of hot water. We didnt plan on doing much cooking as there are some excellent places to eat in Caleta, however the kitchen is really well kitted out and has everything you need from cooker microwave down to the more essential items like bottle opener and ice tray, like most property's on the island its all electric there is no gas which means no carbon monoxide to worry about. The 3 bedrooms , 2 with double beds and one with 2 singles all with plenty of space with wardrobes and plenty of storage space, the main bedroom has a bathroom (en-suite) and a safe for you to use in the wardrobe, there is a small garden and terrace at the rear with plenty sun and shade with really nice landscaped plants. There is a card in the apartment , which gives you access to the gated communal pool which is located about 2 mins walk away , one word STUNNING large adult pool and small toddlers pool plenty of sun beds both in the shade and sun even has toilets and small changing area.

A really big thank you for a wonderful holiday with many happy priceless memories.

West of Ireland

brilliant, relaxing time

From start to finish we had a brilliant time. The apartment was beautiful it was spacious and very clean and accommodated the five of us very well. It had everything we required for our stay. The pool was fantastic and our children loved it. We had a totally relaxing holiday. The beach was within walking distance if you like to walk, however if you don't the courtesy bus was great. If it is a quiet, relaxing holiday you are after this is definitely the place to be. From our very first contact with the owner we were made to feel welcome and given any information we required and the contact on arrival was more than helpful. Would definitely like to return again.

superb holiday

we had four wonderful weeks in the villa and we couldn't have asked for anything better everything you could possibly need was included . the pool area was fantastic and the whole area was immaculately clean. We will definitely be considering another holiday and have already recommended the villa to friends and family. we enjoyed the walk into the town but it took some what longer than stated. we went to the oasis in the atlantico centre for quite a few meal's and each one was excellent .

Peaceful and relaxing

What an amazingly clean, quiet and relaxing home from home. You really couldn't ask for anything more. The home ( its so much more than a villa) has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The pool is just amazing. And is the cleanest I have ever seen. Everyone works really hard to ensure that everything is clean.

Would recommend car hire although crack the bus schedule and its free to get to and from town. If you are looking for somewhere away from the crowds and somewhere for total relaxation then this is the place for you.

Perfect for young children also.

From the Owner

We love Fuerte. The weather means you can get a tan even in December. The island offers the best beaches anywhere outside the Caribbean with the sea temperature never below 18c. The average annual temperature is 23C, so it is just a great all year round climate. If golf's your thing, there are two 18 hole courses within minutes and if it's not, then there are so many things to see and do. If you just want to chill, this is just the place. The apartment backs on to National parkland and is in a quiet residential area on Las Rocas. There is a communal pool which is accessed only by an electronic card, which means it is very quiet. This is a fabulous apartment, in a fabulous location and with fabulous weather. Enjoy.....

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

There are diving schools, wind surfing schools, tennis courts and three world class golf courses. Fuerteventura holds the annual World championship windsurfing competition every year and as such attracts many people from across the world to enjoy the fantastic climate.


The nearest beach is a 10-15 minute walk away, or a two minute free bus ride. Fuerteventura is widely acknowledged to have the best beaches outside of the Caribbean and car hire is the way to see them. Beaches at El Cotillo, The Dunes, Costa Calma and Jandia are amongst the best in the world.


EasyJet, Ryanair, Monarch and Aer Lingus all fly to the island. Transfers takes just 10 minutes. Car hire is definitely recommended if you wish to explore the island. If not, there are taxis readily available. We can arrange for our property managers, Dean and Inger to meet you at the airport and give you a personal service at a much more economical rate than by taxi. The charges are 25 euro's for five people for both legs and 40 euro's for 6 people. The latter will involve two trips.


Caleta is less than 5 minutes by car or bus. There is an international choice of all kinds of restaurant and the food is excellent and good value. The local market on a Saturday is well worth a visit, where you can buy all types of watches, jewellery, clothing. You get to haggle and it's great fun.

Further Details:

The Atlantico centre is 5 minutes away. There is an excellent supermarket, shops, McDonald's, Burger King, bars, cinema, bowling alley and bank all in this development, which fronts on to the sea.

Further along into the resort of Caleta are all the bars and restaurants you could wish for as well as a myriad of shops and boutiques.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days can be variable. Flights are scheduled all week so you can be as flexible as you wish with your dates. We will always do our best to ensure you can stay as late as possible or provide a changeover day alternative;

Notes on prices:

Prices are for two people per week in UK pounds. There is a £20 supplement per additional couple, per week.

Please note we do not charge extra for half term, summer holiday weeks or the festive period.

10% deposit secures the holiday, payable by cheque or transfer.

There are 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one is en-suite. There is satellite TV, Wi-Fi, washing machine etc...all the stuff you need to have a home from home is provided for you. Even beach towels. There is a regular free bus service which can take you into town or to the local beach, although to really get the most of your holiday, we would recommend car hire. We will provide details of the best deals. If you play golf, this is just the place. Campo de Golf held the Spanish open in 2004 and Las Salinas opened in 2008. The new golf course at Las Playitas is superb. If not, just enjoy the beaches, pools and great food.

  • Notes on accommodation: The climate is so good that most accommodation has no heating built in. There are fans available for the summer months. The apartment is very secure with a wall safe provided and secure iron gates. There is security provided by the community and vehicles patrol the area during the day and night, ensuring that all is well. Outside: There are gardens to front and rear. These are looked after each week by our friends and professional gardeners, Donna and Roy. There are patios to the front and rear and a veranda to the rear. There are two sun loungers complete with cushions and also an outside garden table and chairs for the alfresco life. There is an unheated communal pool, 100 metres walk away. Access is gained only by electronic card and is therefore very peaceful. This area has showers, toilets and sun loungers. Utility Room: Includes worktop, washing machine and storage for barbecue. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, linen and hairdryer are all provided. There is a washing machine and a washing line provided. Other: Large patios and veranda with high quality outdoor furniture and 3 sunbeds. Baby cot and high chair can be provided free of charge.
