About the property

Apartment near Morzine, Haute Savoie, French Alps - Only 1 Minute to the Slopes, Ski Lifts, Bars and Restaurants

The village of La Grande Terche is only one and a half hours drive from Geneva Airport to the south of Lake Geneva (Lac Leman). It takes about 10 hours to drive from Calais and is autoroute all the way except for the last 20km. The apartment is centrally located only 100m from the telecabin and sleeps up to 8 people. The excellent skiing complex, ranges from slopes for complete beginners to complex slopes for advance skiers. The only indoor swimming pool in the village is within the building and is reached by the lift. It has balcony views overlooking the skiing slopes, with large windows so you can see your friends and family skiing down the mountain and the clouds rising. Access is normally always available even in the heaviest of snowfalls with few lift queues, a good snow reliability record and also the chance to escape into a nature reserve with slopes virtually to yourself. La Grande Terche has good ski shops to help you hire the most appropriate equipment.

'We have skied most of Europe but this was by far the best we have found. We did Avoriaz and Morzine but to be honest, the long trip around the back of Roc D'Enfer and into the nature reserve was fantastic and we had lunch in the log cabin on the route back. Despite trying to exhaust the boys they still wanted to play in the pool when we got back.' AB - Bristol.



'We really enjoyed our stay and despite being Summer managed to get four seasons in one day. However, the weather was blisteringly hot for all but two of the days when we had the most thrilling thunder and lightning storm that I have ever seen - better than any firework party. Notes:
Outside: Large balcony facing the mountain with superb views for al fresco dining. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bedlinen are not included but king size and single duvets are provided. Washing is done through the launderette in the local town 5 mins away. Other: Cave - in the depths of the building there is a cellar for the storage of skis and walking kit.

Lake Geneva is only about 30 minutes drive away for sailing, windsurfing and fishing. There is also white water rafting, canoeing and rock climbing nearby.

Travel:

Geneva Airport - allow 1 hour 30 minutes owing to having to go through town. Calais - approximately 10 hours drive.

Car hire from Geneva Airport (French side is normally cheaper) or use of a car is recommended..

Distances:

Morzine is about 10 minutes drive.

Les Gets is about 10 minutes drive.

Booking Notes:
Please book via this site. Full payment is required in advance but if your plans change, a 100% refund will be made within 14 days of your booking. After 14 days, a 50% refund will be made. No refund will be made within 2 months of departure. Approximately 14 days before the start date of your holiday, you will be sent a key to the apartment. Upon return of the key, your deposit of £ 500 will be refunded assuming no damage has occurred. A standard cleaning charge of £ 50 will be deducted from your deposit, unless additional cleaning is required owing to the property being left in an unacceptable state for which cleaning and/or repair charges will be levied. Damage is charged on a reinstatement basis. Please report any damage as most items can be covered on a 'fair wear and tear' basis and therefore you will not be charged.

Changeover day is Saturday. Other days according to availability.

Notes on prices:
Prices are in pounds sterling for the property per week. Christmas, New Year, Easter and Half Term are premium weeks so book early. Long lets by negotiation.
