Activity and Interests
The Ilha de Tavira is an award winning beach, reached by a short boat trip. This is on an island half a kilometre from Tavira, reached by ferry return, which is 2 minutes from the apartment.
If you are driving then the local beaches at Cabanas, Monta Rota, Praia Verde and Santa Luzia are all beautiful and well worth a visit.
Faro airport is 30 minutes drive away and is within easy access to Faro train station, in a taxi. Private pick ups can be arranged upon request.
The apartment has easy access to the A22 and the N125, which are the main roads that connect to Faro, the West Algarve and Spain. The train station is a 15 minute walk and gives access to Faro, the east and west Algarve and Spain in the East.
You are in the heart of Tavira, close to the the river with many charming bars and restaurants. Choice of several supermarkets which supply ample fresh produce and not to be missed is the daily market providing local fish, meat and vegetables.
Nearby traditional working fishing villages provide many tourist attractions and restaurants.
Approximate timings: Faro 30 minutes. Spanish border 30 minutes.
Tavira has all amenities that guests are likely to wish for, whether business or pleasure.
