Fully renovated in 2001, Les Fardines is a traditional stone built cottage, situated 3km from the hamlet of Puy d’Arnac and 7 km from the small market towns of Beaulieu sur Dordogne and Meyssac. From it's elevated position with stunning views down the Sourdoire Valley, you can just see the towers of Curemonte’s Chateaux in the distance. The house offers 2500sq.m of grounds, private heated swimming pool with Roman end, and is the ideal choice for those wanting to enjoy the beauty of the countryside.

About the Owner

We moved to the Correze in 1992 and love the area so much that we have bought and renovated 4 lovely holiday properties- Les Fardines is just one of them! Our two children were both born here and are completely bi-lingual, while we enjoy friendships with both French and foreign residents in the area. My husband is a photographer and spends lots of time discovering new areas-both near and far.

Beautiful cottage, very comfortable and everything you could possibly need. Pool and enclosed garden make it perfect for young children. Lots to see in the surrounding area (plenty of advice and suggestions in the cottage guide) and long, balmy evenings in perfect peace and quiet. Gilly is very helpful and we love this place so much we are writing the review while still here!

Brive airport is just 30 minutes drive away- flights with Ryanair from April to October, and Cityjet in July and August . There are daily flights to and from Paris throughout the year. Limoges (1 hour 20 minutes drive) and Bergerac (1 hour 40 minutes) offer flights from many other regional airports. 25 minutes from A20 motorway, approx 8 hours drive from the main ferry ports. Brive train station is 4 hours from Paris Austerlitz.


8km from Beaulieu sur Dordogne and Meyssac where there are all the shops and restaurants you need. Ideally situated to explore the upper Dordogne Valley and places such as Collonges la Rouge, Turenne, Argentat, Rocamadour, Gouffre de Padirac, Sarlat and of course the Dordogne River.

Further Details:

An ideal environment to relax and get away from it all, while still being close enough to local towns to appreciate the many restaurants, markets etc. This is a lovely area for walking, cycling(if you enjoy hills!) and canoeing on the Dordogne River, we have 3 golf courses within 30 minutes of the house.

  • Notes on accommodation: The house is extremely comfortable and every effort has been made to ensure you have all you need during your holiday. We live just 5 minutes away so are on hand to deal with any questions you may have during your holiday. The light, spacious living space and good sized bedrooms makes Les Fardines a great holiday location. Outside: Enclosed 2500m2 garden surrounds the house, there is a lovely terrace shaded by oak trees in front of the cottage, as well as a large sun terrace by the pool. Utility Room: Washing machine in basement utility room. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels provided. Property cleaned and linen changed weekly.
