Cala Nova Golf in the foreground, La Cala, sea views and the impressive Sierra Navada in the distance. It is central for visits to places like Mijas, Marbella, Fuengirola and Peurta Banus, with all the local attractions. There is a cable car with two hawk shows per day at the top. The Bio Park ( zoo ) and water park are near to each other in Fuengirola.

I am a retired teacher living in England, looking to let out the apartment after friends and family. We travel to Spain as much as possible to take advantage of the fantastic weather and visit the many attractions in and around Andalucia. Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Marbella, Peurto Banus and the famous white village Mijas. My next trip is to Tangier in Morocco.
This years target (2011 )is to experience skiing in Granada.
This year (2012) Cadiz and Jerez are among my places to visit.
Seville deserves another visit.

Why Alan Pattison chose Mijas area
We bought this property because it has fantastic views of Cala Nova golf, La Cala village, the sea and the Sierra Nevada mountains. It is close to the quiet village of La Cala de Mijas, on the coast. It has three bedrooms which allows us to invite my family and grandchildren. It is only a short flight from England and 30 minutes from Malaga airport, so long weekends are possible.
It is central for most sightseeing attractions along Costa del Sol.
What makes this apartment unique
We like the quiet secluded elevated position, with views over Cala Nova Golf Course and the valley below.
But also the convenience of being near La Cala with all its amenities and beach. There are plenty of places to visit Marbella, Peurto Banus, Fuengirola and Mijas and only 30 minutes from Malaga airport. There are many fantastic golf courses within easy reach.
Visit ' Palengeros ' a typical Spanish restaurant in Feungirola. Guess what,you will find it in Calle Palengeros.

A very relaxing week spent in total comfort. The apartment is beautifully and tastefully furnished, comfort is the bye word. The apartment has all you could need, a well equipped kitchen, large comfortable lounge, large covered terrace to dine and relax on and the view is spectacular. Plenty to see and do in the local area with a good selection of restaurants. All in all highly recommend.

Quiet Haven in the Sun
We arrived late in the evening for a long weekend with the girls. We had hired a car and so appreciated the underground car parking and the lift direct to the apartment - much appreciated with a heavy case.
The apartment is large, cool and immaculate. We each had a room to ourselves (which was a luxury since I usually share my bed with two toddlers), and with the blackout blinds hiding the sun, I got a lot of sleep.
The apartment is situated in a quiet complex in the hills above the golf courses. When we went to the pool we were the only ones there, so it was very peaceful.
We enjoyed day trips to Marbella, Puerto Banus and La Cala beach. The highlights for me were the grilled squid and cold beers at a beach restaurant on La Cala beach. Although Marbella is very smart and trendy, I preferred the relaxed atmosphere of La Cala.
I would go back again with the girls or with my family (my husband would enjoy the golf courses and we could happily spend our holiday on La Cala beach with the kids).
It is definitely a home away from home - cooking staples we'd forgotten from the supermarket, we found in the food cupboards.
We will return to this property again but maybe next time for a longer stay.

Beautiful apartment in quiet location
We arrived to find that the apartment was a real home from home and we felt comfortable from the minute we arrived. Due to our late evening flight time we were unable to appreciate the stunning location and fantastic vista from the enormous terrace until we breakfasted the following morning. Panoramic views from the dramatic mountains to the left with Mijas Pueblo in the distance, golf course down below and views to the coast finishing off the idyllic setting.... just what we needed to unwind and relax.
The location was perfect for us, considering that it was peak season we found the apartment complex and environs very quiet and often had the luxury of the pool to ourselves.
Everywhere was clean, secure and well maintained.
The apartment itself was furnished and equipped to a high standard and had everything that we needed, enabling us to really enjoy our time here.
The underground parking was great and lift access direct to the apartment level was ideal for my elderly mother.
You will need a car but touring the area was easy from here with Mijas and beaches of Fuengirola and Puerto Banus some of the favourites visited. We did not venture any further afield this time but will definitely be returning, so look forward to other opportunities with Ronda, Ben Havis and Estepona on our list of places we would like to see.
Having 3 young children meant that we needed to keep them entertained, so as well as the pool and beaches we visited the highly recommended Mijas Water Park which was only 20 mins away and the highlight of our stay, BioParc at Fuengirola... the best zoo we have ever been to and great value with the combined meal deal and worth staying through to the evening to take advantage of seeing the Parc at night.
Most of the time we catered for ourselves but can highly recommend Mr.Wok Chinese restaurant in Fuengirola which was perfect for families with its extensive buffet and represented excellent value.
I could not recommend this apartment highly enough if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle found at the coastal locations but still within easy access of all the attractions that the area has to offer.

The Mijas mountain district offer some of the best walking in europe. There are 15 different walks rangeing from medium to hard. Mijas is only a short drive from the apartment. The apartment will provide a luxurious base to sit, eat and relax after a lovely walk. Ideal for 4 to 8 people who have a love of walking but appreciate comfort at the end of the day.
La Cala - Mijas Costa is a small village on the coast which has all the amenities one requires for a relaxing holiday. A varied range of restaurants to suit everyone's pocket, many little cafe's to while away the days.It is 5 min to the beach and ideal for young children.
The apartment is 30 mins from Malaga airport. We usually hire a car for convenience and is needed getting to La Cala and back to the apartment.
La Cala 5km. Fuengirola 9km. Marbella 20km. Mijas 14km. Further a field Gibraltar is 1 hour drive. Real duty free! Day trips to Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada all included in Andulasia Classical tour
La Cala has many restaurants, 2 supermarkets and banks.
There is a shop that seems to sell everything, which can be very handy. There is a market twice a week Wednesday / Saturday.

There is underground parking available accessed by remote key. The parking is next to our apartment,access by lift, one floor, if needed.
