'Casa de la Buena Vista' (House of the Beautiful Views).

The villa is a tranquil rural hideaway yet only an 8 minute drive from the nearest bar/restaurant and only 35 minutes from Malaga airport and the coast.

The Villa is registered with the Andalucian Authorities as a "Vivienda Rural" which means it is maintained to a very high standard and checked regularly.

The villa is ideal for a getaway from it all break and is an ideal base for walkers and climbers being close to the unique 'El Torcal' mountain and the 'El Chorro' gorge not to mention the beautiful blue lakes of the Ardales district. The villa is perfectly positioned to take in all the typical Andalusian flavour of the fiesta season (July/August) being very close to 3 small villages each putting on fantastic typical Flamenco or Verdiales dances throughout the night. The villa is only 30 minutes away from Antequera a very typical and beautiful Spanish town, Antequera is famous not only for it's week long fiesta but also for it's unique July Blues festival featuring some of the biggest blues names in the world. About the Owner

"Casa de la Buena Vista" was my home from 2007 until 2011 , however business required I move back to the Uk hence the Villa being now available for rent,

I now maintain the Villa on my frequent trips to Spain and make sure it is prepared correctly for the Holiday Guests.

The Villa is registered as a "Viviende Rural" with the Junta de Andalucia which means that the very high standards required by the Andalucian authorities are rigorously maintained and checked.

My Husband and I stayed at "Casa de la Buena Vista" in June 2016, the views were spectacular and the hilltop position gave the Villa a lovely feel, we enjoyed the local Restaurant and were always made to feel very welcome by Antonio the owner.

For us the Villa was paradise no noise, just lovely weather and a refreshing pool to cool off in whilst enjoying the views.



Malcolm the owner was extremely helpful and supplied our shopping in advance of our arrival. Everything was perfect , can't wait to go again.,

Stunning views together with peace and quiet

Just spent a week at this lovely villa. It's quite a rural location so fantastic if you want to get away from the rat race and avoid the typical commercial areas of the costa, lots of peace and quiet, fantastic views and scenery. It's at the heart of real Spanish culture ( not a McDonalds in sight!), there's a lovely restaurant ( antonios) about a 15 minute drive, very welcoming and fantastic food. The pool area at the villa was lovely and the outside shaded areas and bar area were super comfortable. I had my 2 teenage boys with me and wasn't sure if there was enough for them to do but between the pool, cable tv, Wi-Fi, walking and exploring there was plenty! Malcolm the owner could not have been more accomodating and the welcome pack was much appreciated, we'll definitely be back!

stunning and peaceful

we had an amazing week in this beautiful villa, malcolm met us personally and showed us around. the villa had everything we needed was very clean and tidy. the area is stunning and so peaceful in easy reach of lots of interesting places such as Antequera and the Ardales. A Very Special Place

We spent an idyllic week in this lovely villa. Set on top of a hill side the villa must have the best views in Spain. The outside space is fantastic: great pool; a bar area; complete privacy and numerous areas to relax.

Inside the villa is well equipped with satellite tv, aircon and wifi. The owner, Malcolm, left the best welcome pack we have ever had.

A magical place, we will be back

I purchased this property mainly because of it's spectacular position and beautiful views of "El Torcal" mountain and the surrounding countryside, I then spent 2 years refurbishing the Villa and installing a lovely swimming pool on the rear Terrace.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 25 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Antonios at Pastelero. Venta Hermanos Moreno at 3 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Antequera Golf at 30 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Antonios, Pastelero, Venta Hermanos Moreno at 3 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Sierra Nevada, Granada at 120 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Malaga, Torremolinos at 30 Kilometres Car: necessary

Special interest holidays:

The Ardales Lake District with it's fabulous Turquoise Lakes and bar/restaurants on the lakeside is only 30 minutes away. Kayaks and Pedallos are available to hire for the day and taking a picnic to the Lakes is a lovely way to relax in the real Spanish way. El Chorro Gorge and the amazing Camino del Rey " ( the worlds most dangerous walk ) is only 30 minutes away making the house ideal for Bird Watchers or very brave Rock Climbers.

Coast/Beach:

The coast is a 40 minute drive away at the beautiful historic city of Malaga, the Historic Centre of Malaga is a lovely place to explore, winding through the narrow alleyways you will find lovely typical Tapas Bars with Flamenco Music and Dancing regularly spontaneously breaking out, taking time to explore Malaga will make your holiday. "Malaga is much more than just an Airport" Just over an hours drive will take you east to the Nerja Coastal area or West to Torremolinos or the Marbella area.

Travel:

Nearest airport is Malaga (40 mins) or Granada (75 mins).

Distances:

The Villa is midway between 2 Lovely White Villages both these Villages have an abundance of restaurants and bars , the Village of Almogia is a pretty whitewashed Village with a lovely Village square and steep cobbled alleyways. These 2 Villages are a 15 min drive from the Villa. The nearest bar/restaurants are in the local Hamlet of Pastelero which also has a tiny family bakery selling bread from the front room. Pastelero is a 10 minute drive from the house. Historic Antequera is 35 min drive

Further Details:

Separate self contained 1 Bedroom Detached En Suite Casita with Private Terrace available as extra accomodation ( ideal for GrandParents ! ) . Transfer from the airport can be arranged. Trips to local beauty spots/fiesta can be organised if required. Please note a vehicle is required for your stay at "Casa de la Buena Vista" as the nearest Village is a 10 minute drive away.

Please enquire when booking the Villa about the availability of the Casita which is ideal for Grandparents or extra Guests, please note the Casita will only ever be let to the Guests occupying the house.
