Cosy cottage near a lovely part of Suffolk coast
About the Owner
We love Suffolk! And we want you to come and enjoy it here too.
Our aim is to provide a comfortable and homely place for you to stay whilst you enjoy all that the beautiful and unspoilt Suffolk Heritage Coastal Region has to offer.
Many previous guests have described our self-catering holiday cottages as a real 'home from home' - so we've adopted that as our motto!
Several guests have even asked if they can buy the cottage they were staying in! But, they are not for sale. They are here to enjoy while you holiday in Suffolk.
Why Dawn chose Suffolk
Saxmundham is such a great location - it's an ideal holiday base. With such good transport links, within a half an hours drive (or less) you can get to all the popular places to visit.
There are good local bus services too. And the train station (Lowestoft to London-Liverpool St Line) is a few minutes walk away. (But don't worry - there is no train noise at the cottages!)
We love the peace and quiet. The friendliness of the people. The wide open spaces. The unspoilt nature of the countryside, coast and heathland... and the local, seasonal food.
What makes this cottage unique
The cottages are just 5 mins walk from the town's High Street, so very convenient for an evening meal out... or just to pick up a newspaper in the morning.
The supermarkets are open 7 days a week, until late in the evening. And, there are lots of independent little shops to browse around too.
Full details, specific information about the town, clear directions & Postcode for SatNav route, and a 'Booking Confirmation' is sent to you in plenty of time.
Changeover-day is Fridays for weekly bookings or Weekend Breaks, and Mondays for Mid-Week Breaks.
Short-breaks - charged at 75% of the Weekly Rate, or £99 per night (min 3-nigts) depending upon the Season/time of year.
3-Night Weekend breaks - Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
4-Night Mid-Week Breaks - Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs nights

Cosy cottage near a lovely part of Suffolk coast
The cottage is lovely: small, but perfectly renovated with very tasteful furnishings that reflect the colours of the Suffolk coast. For 1 or 2 people with a small dog (in this case, my Cairn terrier) it is a great place to stay as long as you don't want to be indoors all day. We had wonderful weather and so didn't spend much time chilling out inside, rather, we visited various coastal villages, towns and sites of historic interest (e.g. Sutton Hoo). The location within Saxmundham is very convenient: you can walk to the town centre within 10 minutes. The cottage has all you need in terms of facilities; the owners are very welcoming, and there is even a dog box in case you forget to bring a doggie essential! Suffolk has lovely pubs nearly all of which are dog friendly, so it is perfect if you want a pet-friendly holiday.
Easter break in Saxmundham
A simple one-up, one down (plus lovely bathroom and well equipped kitchen!) cottage in Saxmundham. Cottage was lovely and cosy in March. It was easy to find, and parking available on street - although it is also a short walk from the rail station. The town has everything you need. I was in the area to visit Sutton Hoo; plus bracing walks on the nearby Suffolk coast line. I would visit again, perhaps coming up by train in future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
The cottage was lovely- just big enough for my husband, the dog and me. Nice touch with treats for the dog left in cottage as well as a few homely items for the grown ups.
We would got there again as it was round the corner from the friends we was visiting. We did go last May 2015 .
