Set in a quiet residential neighbourhood of Nendaz on the edge of the local forests but with easy access to the village. Perfect for Winter and Summer holidays for one or two families or groups. Well located for access to skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoe hiking and ice skating in Winter. Three minutes from extensive forest and mountain walking and biking in the Summer and 10 minutes walk from the public outdoor pool. Easy 24 hour car access with private drive and garage. Located 5 minutes drive from village centre with a Winter bus service to ski lifts 3 mins walk from the front door. Sunny large deck and garden terraces with views north and west.

About Caroline Fraser & Kevin Hafter

We are a London based family who have Swiss family links and have owned Chalet le Comble for over 8 years. We are keen on all outdoor activities but particularly skiing, camping, cycling and sailing. The chalet is our second home and we enjoy family holidays throughout the year with our family, friends and three legged dog but particularly enjoy winters for skiing and the wide variety of outdoor activities available in July and August.

We have skied for over 40 years and love the huge variety of skiing available to us in the Four Valleys. Our children now 24 and 27, have grown up skiing and ski racing and working as ski instructors in Verbier. In Summer we enjoy mountain biking and walking in Nendaz and neighbouring valleys and visits to Lake Geneva for water sports.

Why Caroline Fraser & Kevin Hafter chose Nendaz

We bought here after much research, with the key reasons being the quality and variety of skiing available, ease of communication year round, with super reliable Swiss public transport making Nendaz accessible without a car, from Geneva. In the summer there is lots to do both in Nendaz and nearby. Its central location makes for easy day trips or weekends to other parts of Switzerland, Northern Italy and France.

What makes this chalet unique

Peaceful, stunning views, easy access to major cities, good access during heavy snow as the house is on a road managed by the commune (local authority) which means it is always ploughed as soon as the snow arrives.

"We had a fantastic week at Chalet le Comble, the open plan living area with real fireplace was perfect and allowed us all to spend time together relaxing after skiing. The kitchen was very well equipped including various spices and condiments which made cooking good food a pleasure. The bedrooms are a generous size with plenty of storage. The owners were extremely friendly and helped direct us to the Chalet on the first night after we managed to lose our directions. Overall, we have nothing but praise for the Chalet and little touches, like having guidebooks, novels, an ipod soundsystem and the owner's local knowledge to draw upon, made our trip that bit more special'.

Notes on accommodation: The chalet uses electricity for heating and hot water heating. Wall heaters in all rooms, all electricity charges are included in the rental cost. The chalet is suitable for children but the living areas have tiled floors and there is a stone staircase between floors. The mezzanine on the upper level is suitable for children of 6 and above for sleeping but is accessed via a steep staircase. Mezzanine is a separate curtained space above living room and set up as an additional sitting/sleeping area with sofa bed, TV and video. Outside: Large paved terrace and lawn at ground floor level with westerly views. Garden tables, chairs, sun loungers, garden umbrellas, outdoor fire basket, barbecue and table tennis table are provided. Outside steps give access through garden to the terrace with garden benches outside bedrooms on lower ground floor. Access by garden steps to the road below. Utility Room: Under stairs cupboard with large hot water tank, dust pan and brush; large brush; mop and bucket and vacuum cleaner. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen, small towels and tea towels are included in the rental. Chalet is cleaned before handover, guests should leave the chalet as they find it, charges will be made if additional cleaning required. Mid week cleaning would be additional cost. Other: Mezzanine floor (not full height) set up as additional living area with small double sofa bed and mattress. TV with video. Freestanding garage with undercover access from front door.

Approximately one hours drive to Lake Geneva where there are a variety of sandy and pebbly beaches with good swimming and water sports. Water theme park and boat and kayak rental at Le Bouveret. Paddle steamers and ferries available across the Lake. Bike track all the way along the River Rhone from Sion to Lake Geneva. Also swimming lakes in the Rhone Valley at Les Illes (15 mins) and Sierre (30 mins). Lake Maggiore in Italy is 2 hours 30 mins drive away across the Simplon Pass.


By Air: Geneva Airport is approximately 1 hr 45 mins drive from the airport to the chalet. Alternatively 1 hour and 50 minutes away by frequent train and then bus or taxi to Nendaz. Sion Airport (20 minutes) has a weekend service by Snowjet from London Stansted and Milan Airport (Malpensa) is under 3 hours drive. By car: The chalet is approximately 10 hours drive from Calais. By rail: The TGV runs to Sion from Paris. Sion is located on the main rail link from Geneva to Milan.


Driving Times: our chalet is 1km from the centre of the village and lift station (5 mins drive or 15 minutes walk). Siviez - Four Vallees ski access 12 minutes. Sion (historic capital of Valais with two castles and attractive old town) 20 minutes,

Verbier (1 hour 15 mins) Historic Martigny 45 minutes, Montreux and Villeneuve 1 hour, Crans Montana 1 hour, Saas Fee 1 hour 30 mins, Zermatt 2 hours.

Further Details:

We can help arrange skiing lessons and mountain biking packages including rental of equipment. In Winter it is essential to carry snow chains and shovel for your car and Winter tyres are useful (all Swiss registered vehicles have to have snow tyres during the Winter). We provide snow shovels, brushes and salt for your use at the chalet if it snows during your visit. One pet would be allowed with owners prior permission, at additional cost of 50 Swiss francs per week. No animals are allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture and any mess from animals in the garden must be removed. Garden is suitable for dogs but is not fenced.

10% discount on bookings for ski lessons, ski/snowboard and bike rental.

Stay tax £1.76 per night, per person. This amount will be due to the owner upon arrival. Does not apply to children under 5 years.

Booking Notes:
Deposit taken at time of booking is 50%; final payment 45 days before arrival, payment in UK pounds, Swiss francs or Euros. In addition returnable security deposit of £500 (or equivalent in Swiss Francs or Euros) taken at time of booking and returned at end of rental following inspection. Cancellation costs within 6 weeks of arrival date 80% total cost. Cancellation costs from time of booking to 6 weeks prior to arrival 50% total cost. While we recognise that you may feel more comfortable making a payment by card through the Owners Direct website, all payments made this way incur a cost to us of 8% of the rental cost. Therefore if you choose to pay to through Owners Direct, we regretfully pass this cost on to the renters. We would prefer direct payment in either Euros, Swiss Francs or UK pounds by transfer to our Swiss bank account and will send you invoices acknowledging receipt. We have been taking rental payments in this way for over 6 years.

Changeover Day:
Our changeover day is generally Saturdays but we can be flexible in low season and Summer. Arrival after 4pm and departure by 10am. Rental is generally for 7 nights but shorter breaks may be available if you contact us.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the chalet per week in Euros, equivalent payment accepted in Swiss francs or UK pounds at prevailing exchange rate. Prices inclusive of linen, cleaning and electricity. Please contact owners for short breaks and weekend prices. Off-season and summer prices.
