Country House in Amandola, Le Marche, Italy - Peaceful Location with Mountain and Lake Views; 10 Mins to Town and All Amenities

Very spacious (4,300sqft), elegantly restored country house in the beautiful Tenna valley overlooking San Ruffino lake. Between the Sibillini mountains (10 miles) and the Adriatic Coast (30 miles). Set in 1.25 acres of lovely English style gardens with many fruit and ornamental trees and shrubs and a secluded pool with panoramic views of the mountains. The property is 5 miles from Amandola which has a full range of normal town facilities. The closest restaurants, including pizza takeaway, are 10 minutes walk away, beside the lake. The local area provides the opportunity to undertake a wide range of activities from hill walking to open air concerts. Particularly in the summer months there is an abundance of local open air festivities involving live music of all genres, local food and wine. For further information see our website.

Lovely spacious house

Lovely spacious and well equipped house with beautiful gardens and lots of shady spots for relaxation as well as by the pool. The garden also had an orchard with a good selection of fruit trees and bushes which we were encouraged to pick - there were apples, plums, pears and blackberries whilst we were there. The owner was very helpful throughout as was the local property manager who was available if we needed help with anything. The house is in a peaceful rural area which we enjoyed exploring. It's close to a lake (with boat hire) and within walking distance of a couple of restaurants by the lake so eating out didn't always mean a drive.

Crisp Sheets, Well equipped, RELAXING!

Casa Lago is the perfect Italian villa for a group of stressed people to relax. a very easy villa to share with friends, family and our weimaraner as everyone can share the lounges and eating areas but still have their own personal space as the villa is well laid out with 5 en-suite bathrooms and other separate toilets. We spent most of our time outside- obviously as the weather was everything that we could wish for- sunshine for a month! The gardens offer several separate areas for eating, we were invited to pick from the fruit bushes and eat the amazing figs. The pool area is tranquil, with plenty of surrounding sunbed space and ideal for languishing & playing. Surrounding area is beautiful with the lake 5mins walk below, offering boats and a great restaurant. We met so many friendly people; locally through the restaurants and markets but also the villa itself is well supported by estate managers, gardener and owners that really did go the extra kilometre for us all. This is our second visit to this villa and we can only highly recommend it to you.

Beautiful villa

This is a gorgeous property set on a remote hillside with lovely views of the San Ruffino lake and the Sibillini mountains in the distance.

The facilities are excellent with spacious, elegantly restored rooms, a tranquil terraced garden and a swimming pool ; all clean and well maintained.

There are two places to eat out within walking distance of the villa , a very good value pizza house and a more up market, though still reasonably priced restaurant.

There are plenty of quaint hill top towns and the lake Fiastra 50 minutes away is well worth the trip.

I have been twice to this lovely villa and have no hesitation in giving it the highest possible recommendation.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is normally Saturday, but other days will be considered on a case by case basis.

The property will be available for occupation from 3pm on the rental start day. The property must be fully vacated by 10am on the rental end day.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

Notes on accommodation: The property is not recommended for very small children and anyone unsteady on their feet. The floors of the house are tiled throughout (no soft landings) and the accommodation is on 3 floors. Outside: The gardens are 1.25 acres of trees, shrubs and grass, including a pool (7x5m) with a water depth of 1.4m and a solar powered shower. The private pool and surrounds are suitable for children when under the supervision of a parent. There are two outdoor sitting areas with pergolas, two large flat grassed areas, an orchard with several varieties of fruit trees. Tables, chairs, poolside loungers and barbecue facilities are provided. Utility Room: Large sink, washing machine, ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, including pool/beach, and linen are included. House towels and linen are changed weekly. The house is cleaned at the end of each stay. Basic household items such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper etc are provided.
