Situated on the front row of villas, B1 has unspoilt views over the valley to the mountains beyond.
Villa B1. This 4 bedroom villa, completed in May 2010, is situated on a small complex of privately owned villas and apartments in a beautiful hillside setting. The property has private pool with jacuzzi, large covered veranda with barbecue for al fresco dining and landscaped gardens. Inside there is a spacious open plan living area with fitted kitchen. One bedroom and shower room are situated on the ground floor. A further 3 bedrooms, one with en-suite and jacuzzi bath and a family shower room are situated upstairs. The villa is fully air conditioned and centrally heated for all year round use. At present, the nearest shops and restaurants are 10km away in Kemer, a traditional Turkish town with a busy Friday market. It is worth visiting Esinti, a hilltop restaurant with amazing views over the town and mountains. Calis and Patara beaches (40km) the town of Fethiye (36km) with its busy marina, the Saklikent Gorge and Tlos are within easy striking distance.
My husband and I are childminders living in Scotland. We have been working together for 21 years and look after children from a few months old until they no longer need our care, usually at 12-13 years old, which makes for a very extended family! We have 3 grown up children of our own.
We first visited Turkey in October 2005 on the recommendation of a Turkish lady working in our local travel agency, who organised our stay in Olu Deniz. We were surprised by how green and lush the countryside was and were so taken by the warmth of the Turkish people that we made a rather spontaneous, but not regretted, decision to buy an apartment by Calis beach off plan.
Mrs H Hughes purchased this villa in 2007
In spring 2007 we returned to the area to see what progress had been made on our apartment and were taken by the construction company to visit a new site they were developing in the countryside. I was just ‘blown away’ by the views and still have that same feeling each time we go. We weren’t sure we could afford to buy the villa and had a ‘get out clause’ written into the contract, but we are so glad that we managed to go ahead.
We love the area for the wealth of things you can choose to do if you are feeling energetic and the relaxed atmosphere when you’re not. We love Fethiye bay for the interest the islands offer and for its beautiful sunsets and we love to see snow on the mountains for part of the year whilst we are basking in the sunshine.
The position of the villa offers the choice of a quiet, private holiday, relaxing by the pool or a more sociable one, joining other owners and guests around the communal pool and bar, which are situated higher up in the complex.
The villa was everything we'd hoped for and we loved our holiday, just wondering if it was all a dream!
Mr and Mrs H, Frinton on Sea
Just back from our wonderful holiday. The rest of the family is still in bed as we didn't get back until 3.30am but I couldn't wait any longer to tell you how much we loved your villa. The holiday style is perfect for us and we would love to go back next year....We are so thrilled by the whole experience! Mr and Mrs S, Sheffield
We could not fault the accommodation in any way.Your villa is well designed, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The location is superb. The views of the mountains were breathtaking. Sitting on the verandah or balcony of the bedroom and looking at the sunrise and the sunset are indescribable. Your honesty and the help you provided from our very first contact until we left for our holiday contributed significantly to our enjoyment. We would certainly like to rent your villa again next year if available. Mr B. Romfor

The villa was very well maintained, modern and clean. We went as a family of 6 (Mum, Dad and four kids - three older teenagers). As soon as we arrived in the villa we knew we had 'picked a winner'. The villa is on a quiet small complex and the complex staff are friendly and helpful. The villa is a real 'get-away' and you will probably need a vehicle if you want to make the most of the attractions that are all within a forty minute journey (we also took a satnav with us with European maps, and we found getting around a doddle) - although if you really want to be lazy you can just make the most of the villa and just hang around the pool, which is delightful. There was no wifi at the villa, which for us adults, was nice as we were further removed from work emails and such like. We would go up to the bar and complex pool, which is maybe 150/200 foot away, and wifi is stable and free there - there was no expectation that you needed to buy drinks at the pool to use the pool or the wifi and the teenagers were there an hour or two each day; however, we did buy soft drinks at the pool and our tab for the 6 of us, at the end of the two weeks, was negligible. Be aware that the complex is in the mountains and there can be the sound of crickets when you are poolside at the villa, but I found the sound quickly became normal and just part of the background. The bottom line is that our family had a great time. The only other thing to mention is that Helga (the villa owner) couldn't have been any more accommodating, I Had lots of questions when I was choosing a villa to rent and Helga's communication, and ground work to find the answers, was excellent, she really helped to make sure that everything went smoothly. I would not hesitate in recommending Helga's villa to my friends or family.
If you are looking for a holiday away from the crowds, this is it. The villa is roomy and well equipped, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, fully air conditioned and outside a terrace with private pool. But the best thing about this villa is its location - the views onto the surrounding mountains are simply stunning. You need a hire car to explore the area, so you can experience something different every day - boat trips, scuba diving, shopping and eating out in Fethiye, ancient ruins, all this less than an hour's drive away. But at the end of each day, you can retreat back to the tranquility of the terrace with only the sound of crickets and those great views.
We are certainly going back next year.
We arrived late on Wednesday evening having travelled from Sheffield at 11am to the villa and the keys were waiting for us. Tired, we unpacked and went to sleep and woke early next day to shop at the supermarket in Fethiye, 45 minutes drive away. Returning to the villa late morning on Thursday we then enjoyed our wonderful villa with our own pool located in the mountains with beautiful views. The villa is luxurious: air conditioning in every room, three bathrooms (one en suite), water cooler, fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave. The neighbours and other residents are very friendly and meet at the club bar which sits at the side of the large communal pool some 100 yards or so away. Twice there was a community barbeque which we attended, and on one evening we went on a bus together with 20 or so of the other residents to a lovely restaurant in Fethiye (Sundial) to celebrate the wedding anniversary of a couple who live 4 doors away and who we only met at the club barbeque - very welcoming.
This is a beautiful location, but you need a car. Our philosophy is that we spend all year round at home chasing around in cars to be somewhere on time and have a 16 year old daughter still at home who has a busy social life, doesn't drive of course. so we spend this holiday mainly relaxing by the pool. There is a restaurant in the local village but you will need top be prepared to mainly self cater or travel out at night to eat. Note that the laws in Turkey are strictly no drinking if you are driving. We enjoyed eating away from the villa on about 4 or 5 occasions, but we are happy to cook simple food in the evening so we can benefit from the wonderful climate Turkey provides. This is the 3rd time we have been to this same villa and we have every intention of booking again next year.
