Apartment in Les Arcs 1800, Savoie, French Alps - Excellent Quiet Location With Direct Access To The Piste

Our privately owned direct to piste, top floor apartment is set over two floors with fabulous views of the Tarentaise valley, is situated in Aiguille Grive 1. It is an attractive, well designed complex in Charmotteger, Les Arc 1800. The apartment has a leather double bed, leather sofa bed, a 32" wall mounted flat screen TV/DVD to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We also have an Xbox 360 for games or playing a DVD upstairs as well! A great shower over the bath, plus an electrically heated towel rail to dry your ski gear, keeping you fresh, warm and ready to ski once again. Set amongst trees at the edge of a forest –simply ski from the back of the apartment building (exit the rear of the complex onto the piste) down to the Charmotteger chairlift, less than a minute ski away. The whole of Les Arcs, as well as the huge Paradiski area, are on the doorstep. The convenient location has the added bonus of a gorgeous bakery and deli just 2 minutes away. Pop back to the apartment for lunch. It's so easy!

We purchased our apartment in 2007 and have loved visiting the area ever since. Jo is fluent in French, which has helped with the purchase and the rental of our holiday home. We have made contact with a local agency who we use for cleaning, keys, maintenance etc. We will always help you with ski schools and any 2 for 1 offers of ski hire we know about. We are always happy to help you with your holiday and feel that we treat our customers as our friends. We now have several regular repeat customers coming year after year.

A great place for families

Like the previous reviewer, we have just returned from a very enjoyable ski holiday at this warm and very well appointed apartment.The downstairs living space is typically compact, as is to be expected, but it is well designed and equipped and the upstairs sleeping area is surprisingly spacious. The apartment is situated a little off the beaten track in a quieter village at the edge of Les Arcs 1800 which will suit some but may be a little quiet for others looking for a little nightlife. The ski in/ski-out possibilities are a real bonus. Would definitely recommend having snow chains handy for your arrival & departure - and consider pre-booking yourself indoor car parking to avoid having to dig yourself out of deep snow at the end of a great week skiing. Highly recommended apartment with a very communicative and helpful owner.

Perfect in so many ways

We've been to this apartment twice and have just booked again for next year. It is 100% ski in/out, and is so close to a great Chairlift, which takes you to many slopes, and also to the ski school that we chose. Inside, it is warm and cosy, and has a lovely feel to it. Even though the kitchen area is obviously smaller than you would have in house, it has essentials, such as a microwave, dishwasher, oven/grill, fridge and wonderfully a slow cooker, (which we found vey useful). The kitchen utensils were numerous and we can't think of anything else we would use. There is wifi available and a DVD player. There is a fold up table, which is a great space saver, with small stools. The bunk beds are great and the double bed very comfortable. It is also very close to a new ski-hire shop, and a short walk down to a great Supermarket and the main village. Nothing was too far away. We hope to have many more happy holidays here. The communication with the owners is very quick and also was very helpful when researching for our first every skiing holiday with our children. Les Arcs 1800, to us is a perfect skiing resort.

Booking Notes:
All bookings are done directly with the owners via email or by phone.
We tend to have bookings running from Saturday to Saturday with the keys being available from 3.00pm from the agents, sometimes we are flexible. Departure time for the apartment is 10.00am allowing time for cleaning etc. Times outside of this may be possible but only by personal arangement. E.G. If running outside of the 3pm collection time the agents can leave the keys by prior arrangement.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days tend to be on Saturdays. Please check our availability calendar.

Notes on prices:
Bed linen is not included but the agent can supply for a small fee. Please also bring your own towels.

Deposit - We require a £150 deposit to secure your booking and full payment around one month before your holiday. Payment can be done by cheque or Ebanking.
Damages - We request a £200 security deposit as insurance against damages. We refund this after your holiday.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.

Notes on accommodation: This is our eighth year of rental and we try to offer the best service we can. We have a local agent in resort who handles the keys and basic cleaning and if you need any help. The position is ideal with direct-to-piste skiing and also quiet and not overlooked with beautiful views down the valley. Yet we are only 100 steps or five minutes walk to the main resort centre of Villards, Arc 1800. Or of course, only 2 minutes to ski down to the meeting places for ski school. We offer you a friendly service and happy to advise. We can supply you with information on ski hire, ski schools etc to help your stay to be as enjoyable as possible. Outside: There is a large balcony where you can enjoy the views and tranquility. We also have a sledge you can use and usually we make a beer fridge out of the snow on the balcony! Look out for the birds and black squirrels in the trees opposite. The view is beautiful down the mountain as well as peaceful. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: We have a local agent to supply the keys and complete a basic clean before your stay. Our agent in resort can also offer bed linen for a small extra charge or you can supply your own sheets and towels. All duvets and pillows are feather and down. Other: The apartment is situated on the top floor and the piste can be accessed just 30 yards down the corridor via the rear door of the apartment complex. On entering the apartment we have an area for skies and boots plus hanging rails for jackets.
