6th floor 56sq.m duplex apartment in the village square, leading to shops, restaurants, bars, cinema, indoor heated pool and ice rink. At the back the locker room opens onto the main arterial piste leading to lifts which access the adjoining valleys of Meribel and Courchevel as well as the adjacent slopes of La Masse. From the square, lifts lead to Val Thorens and the Fourth Valley. Further down the valley is the charming town of St. Martin de Belleville. Free open-air car parking is available at all times. Views from the balcony of Cime de Caron and La Masse are fantastic. Ski passes can be bought for the locality, the valley or the 3 Valleys. Queues are rare due to continuing investment in modern ski lifts. Ski school is on the other side of the square, with facilities for beginners and children, and facilities for cross-country skiing are excellent, whether on the adjacent gentle slopes of Plan de l'Eau or on the demanding journey (17km) to St. Martin and back.
Retired solicitor aged 71, passionate about skiing and sailing. Bought the apartment off-plan in 1987, with the advantage of being able to design the interior layout to suit a family with 3 children. Paramount was the need for 2 bathrooms, to cater for mob invasion after a hectic skiing day, plus an oversized h/w cylinder to service them!
The family attraction remains, with the apartment still being the focus at Xmas. Recent arrival of grandchildren has resulted in the installation of a second double bedroom.

Satisfied all my requirements - plenty of room for the family, right on the ski slopes in the best skiing area in the world. All facilities were within easy walking distance. Great views from the balcony - important for me because I ski cross-country and finish before lunchtime.
