Townhouse near Mijas Pueblo, Costa del Sol, Spain

A glorious light filled townhouse with superb views of the coast conveniently located between the sandy beaches and restaurants of Fuengirola, and the traditional cafes and artisan shops of the charming whitewashed village of Mijas. There is a comfortable living area, free wifi, a fully fitted kitchen, cloakroom and large balcony upstairs, and the bedrooms (both en-suite) and terrace downstairs. From the master bedroom you can walk out onto the terrace in the morning and enjoy the sunshine and the views. The master bedroom also has a large walk-in dressing area with huge mirrors and wardrobes. Golfers can choose from over 50 courses nearby while tennis players are only 5 minutes from the lovely Lew Hoad Campo de Tenis with its fully equipped gym and delightful sub-tropical gardens. There's a beautifully maintained swimming pool (heated in time for Easter) set in pretty gardens with lots of sun loungers. There is good public transport with bus stops close by.

About Jane Hampson

I live in England with my husband and our two (almost grown up) sons. I started coming out to this area of Spain over 20 years ago to play tennis at the Lew Hoad Campo de Tenis just down the road. And I've been coming here ever since. Everyone is so friendly and we've made loads of great friends and had some fabulous holidays. So seven years ago we decided buy a house here that all the family can use, especially now the boys can come out on their own.

Why Jane Hampson chose Mijas area

This is just about my favourite part of the world. There's fabulous sunshine, even in the middle of winter when England is dull and cold. You can explore the beaches, join in the buzzing nightlife down in Fuengirola or just watch the world go by from a cafe in the little square in Mijas. The views down to the coast are amazing. That's really what sold the place to me. It feels like being in an aeroplane. And talking of planes, Malaga airport is only 25 minutes away so you can come out for a few days and not waste a moment. If, like me, you love tennis the club at Lew Hoad's will make you very welcome.

What makes this house unique

I fell in love with a friend's house in the same community, (did I mention those views!) and couldn't believe it when another one came up for sale. It's so handy for the airport. It's also on the bus route between Mijas and Fuengirola so you don't need a car all the time. The pool and the gardens are immaculate and the community is gated so you feel very secure. Inside the house the marble floors and air con keep you cool and outside there's a terrace and garden with sun loungers to relax and enjoy the sun.

Spent xmas 2015 at this property and glad we chose it. Lovely setting. Spotless and tasteful, views amazin. It was located close to beautiful Mijas and we could not find a thing to critise. We would recommend and highly likely to return. Perfect location. Thank you we had best xmas ever here.

Wonderful Townhouse

Very spacious, tidy and clean. Great views from lounge and balcony of the Mediterranean Sea. Well located for exploring the area. Mijas is close for eating and exploring.

Owner is very helpful and friendly.

Lovely winter break

Mijas out of summer season can be just as beautiful and give opportunity to seek out interesting back street bars and restaurants. We stayed in Janes comfortable and cosy town house which had everything we needed not to mention lovely bathrooms,comfortable beds and wifi.

The view from the lounge is fabulous and uplifting on clear days we could see Africa . We had a thoroughly relaxing break and will certainly return. Thanks also to Jane who was a pleasure to deal with.

We were so pleased with the apartment, it was perfect for the family (2 adults and 2 children) the highlight was the stunning view whilst eating our evening meals on the balcony.

Much bigger than we expected and in a friendly complex. the location was perfect for us as we love being close to Mijas but also close to the A7 for us to explore further along the coast.

We will be back here again!

Notes on accommodation: No smoking in the house please. A safe is provided for valuables. Cots and high chairs can be arranged. Outside: Both the balcony from the lounge, and the terrace from the master bedroom are furnished with a table and 4 chairs. There is also a barbecue, and a grassed garden area from the lower terrace furnished with two comfortable sun beds. There is a shared swimming pool and beautifully maintained gardens. Utility Room: Large utility area in the rear lower terrace with huge drying area and washing machine keeps all the laundry out of sight. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels are provided (except pool and beach towels). The property is cleaned and linen changed weekly unless requested otherwise. Other: The balcony from the lounge has table and chairs for eating outdoors and is shaded by a sun awning. The downstairs sun terrace is also furnished with patio table and chairs, sun beds and a barbecue.
