This is a well presented apartment ideal for family holidays in the 'golden triangle' of the Algarve coast. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), 2 full bathrooms (1 en-suite) and 3 terraces with distant sea views and also views to Vila Sol Golf Resort and Spa. Al Sakia Village is a small resort situated 20 minutes drive from Faro airport and within a similar distance of Vale do Lobo, Vilamoura, Almancil and Quarteira with their full range of shops, bars and restaurants. Vila Sol Golf Resort and Spa is within 5 minutes drive or a 15 minute walk. There is an on-site pool, children's pool and play area, gardens, gym, tennis courts, bar and restaurant. The resort reception can also arrange excursions, taxis, car hire and help with planning your holiday.

About Tim Cox

We are a British family with 2 children - Tilly is 11 and Zac is 8. We have been holidaying in the Algarve for over 15 years and have brought our children to the region ever since Tilly was 6 months old and Zac was 2 months old.

We holidayed regularly in this area before buying the apartment in 2008 and had previously stayed several times in Al Sakia Village.

In fact we were so keen to buy in the development that we offered to buy the apartment without actually seeing it!!

Why Tim Cox chose Loule region

We bought this apartment in 2008 as we knew the area well and wanted a more permanent base for our holidays . We now get the chance to visit several times a year.

The resort is ideally located in the middle of all of the major golf/beach resorts but, being a smaller resort, has the advantage of being more friendly and welcoming.

What makes this apartment unique

We really enjoy the Al Sakia resort and find the locals (Portuguese and ex-pat) to be very friendly and helpful and we always enjoy the beaches, golf and local food and drinks when we visit. However, sometimes we hardly leave the pool/bar/restaurant area especially when the kids make friends!

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is fully air-conditioned. It is situated on the 1st floor of a small quiet block on the edge of the resort and benefits from lift access. There are distant sea views from the 3 terraces and nearer views over towards Vila Sol Golf and Spa Resort. Outside: The apartment benefits from 3 private terraces, 1 from each bedroom and 1 from the living room. There is also a communal roof terrace where you can use a BBQ or sunbathe. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: High chair, travel cot and 2 Britax child car booster seats (UK purchased, suitable for children aged 3 to 11) provided on request. Linen and towels provided apart from cot linen. 4 pool/beach towels also provided.

Wonderful accommodation

We were only here for a few days and spent most of our time on the small resort by the pool. the facilities are a short walk away and are gorgeous. The apartment is large and we'll equipped with 3 decent sized balconies. Charlotte, who greets you, is delightful and very welcoming. Was just what we needed after 2 weeks trekking around Portugal. A car would be needed if you wanted to explore further and visit the beaches often. For what we wanted it couldn't have been more perfect.

Fantastic Location, great apartment.

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location, well laid out accommodation, everything you need for a self catering break. The apartment is in a great position to get to tourist attractions in the local area especially Aquashow, Vilamoura just 10 mins away in a car. We visited Old Faro for the first time, great cathedral with some amazing views over Faro

We loved the pool with its friendly, welcoming bar and restaurant.

Tim & Charlotte were very helpful and accommodating.

Looking forward to returning in the future.

Fabulous apartment, home from home, beautiful complex, amazing pool, superb restaurant. Charlotte and Tim responded very quickly to enquiries and sorted the one only problem I had fantastically. I would most definitely recommend staying here again, in fact I tried but it was booked!! Wonderful area, if you are a walker it's not a problem but a car could be helpful if you want to travel a little further but taxis weren't expensive and we managed 6 days without one quite happily. If you have children then the water park is a must which took 20 minutes to walk to and if you book online beforehand you get a discount and no queues! Overall, a fantastic break, will definitely be returning as the personal touches we experienced over there were outstanding!!!

Fantastic apartment.

We are just back from a week in this apartment. I can't understand why there are no reviews as we found it even better than described. Tim and Charlotte were both very easy to deal with and replied to all enquiries very promptly. There were three of us and the apartment had everything we needed. We ate at the Tiramisu Restaurant by the wonderful pool (just a few minutes walk away) every day where the owner Joao was also very welcoming. You will need a car staying here, we rented one quite cheaply at the airport. We were a party of adults but the apartment would be ideal for a family as I noticed pool toys, body boards and fishing nets available on the utility balcony. It was great to all have our own balconies (3 in all) and the air conditioning was possibly the best I've ever encountered on holiday. The washing machine worked well, we used it every day. Showers and bathrooms were clean and well appointed. The bedrooms were large, clean and fresh. My only complaint was that the master bed was a little low for me but it was very comfy to sleep in. There is a supermarket 5 minutes away by car and the huge Aquapark is just at the end of the road. We really enjoyed our stay and will probably be back again next year. Thank you Charlotte and Tim :-)

Appartement en très bon état et très bien équipé

Nous avons réservé cet appartement pour passer 4 jours (3 nuits) au Portugal.

Parfait pour 4 personnes : 1 suite parentale (salle de bains avec baignoire/balnéo) et une seconde chambre (avec 2 lits) pour nos 2 filles...lesquelles ont utilisé la seconde salle de bains.

Tout est disponible dans ce logement : machine à laver, lave vaisselle, micro ondes, sèche cheveux, 2 radiateurs électriques d'appoint, réhausseur voiture pour enfant, lit pliant pour bébé, serviettes de bain, savon liquide dans les 2 salles de bain, liquide vaisselle...etc.

Supermarché situé à 10 minutes à pied (...pour le reste...il faut une voiture...).

En plus, la propriétaire ne nous a demandé aucune caution...et on aime cela...que l'on nous fasse confiance.

Seul bémol...insonorisation perfectible...mais pour 40 € par nuit...on trouve le rqp excellent.

On recommande fortement !
