About the Owner

We live in Spain and own and manage Casita de Alba, Casa Almareka and Casa Susana. We do all our own maintenance and cleaning to ensure our villas are in perfect condition and spotlessly clean for our guests. I was a City Business woman until I found Casita de Alba in Jesus Pobre and from that day I knew I wanted to live there. I put my heart and soul into reforming the villa and made it into a luxurious, comfortable, welcoming home. We have had some wonderful times with many clients who come regularly over the years and who have enjoyed our properties.

Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

From the minute we pulled up we felt chilled, calm and very spoiled! Sue and Nick have made a magical place that doesn't feel like a holiday house, it feels like a home, your own home! We've stayed in many places of varying conditions but nowhere beats Villa Alba. Cleanliness is outstanding, facilities are again outstanding, they have thought of everything. The pool and gardens are glorious, private, beautiful and with quality sunloungers and chairs it really is a special place you're staying in!!!

We will be returning and for longer next time!

Wonderful property in stunning surroundings

  • 5 of 5

I'm not sure I have the words to do justice to this property. Actually, part of me doesn't want others to know about it, so I am tempted to keep quiet!!

Casita de Alba is a lovely, well equipped villa set in its own private and stunning grounds. The pool is wonderful, such a good size and depth for swimming. The views from the pool area are stunning and I felt blessed to sit out there with my morning tea just taking them in.

The owner, Susan, was always responsive to my emails before our visit and it was lovely to meet her upon arrival. Following my request, she had also kindly brought in some supplies just to get us started. The villa had everything we needed and really did feel like a 'home away from home'.

As we had travelled to Spain to meet up with some old friends, I chose to not hire a car. I think if we came again (which I hope to do!) we would hire one. Having said that, it was only a short walk into the village of Jesus Pobre and the small shop had everything we needed, including fresh produce: meat, eggs, veg and fruit. The shopkeeper was lovely and could speak a little English, although I tried to use my rather limited Spanish as much as possible. We also used an English taxi, recommended by Sue, to go to do a big shop at a larger supermarket and to visit the market in Ondara. So, a car isn't necessarily essential!

The trip to Spain was a nostalgic one for me, returning after a gap of over twenty years, and having Casita de Alba as the place to come home to just helped to make the visit that much more special.

Highly recommend! :-)

STUNNING VILLA !!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous fortnight at sue and nicks villa over easter this year. The villa was amazing-the photos don't do it justice! Sue has thought of everything you could ever want and its so much more then a home from home [infact I wish my own home was as well fitted out-especially the kitchen!]. Sue and Nick are a wealth of info and always on hand to help if you need anything. I would highly recommend it to any seeking a beautiful sanctuary that is also in a superb location [2 towns 10 mins away] and the gorgeous village of Jesus pobre on your doorstep!

Owner's Response: THANK YOU so much for that amazing review. We reallydo try to make everything as perfect as possible for our guests and make sure we offer what we would expect if we rented a holiday villa. We feel that it is so important to make the villa like a home with all the necessary equipment you would have yourselves. Our villas are our passion and we are really proud of them so when someone takes the time to write such wonderful comments it is really appreciated and makes the long hours and hard work really worthwhile. Once again thank you and come back again soon.

A Spanish Oasis with fabulous amenities.

  • 5 of 5

The villa is a really special find. It has a really beautiful pool from which you have delightful views of the countryside and the Montgo mountain. It is a quiet and relaxing place. In some ways you feel you are on a film set. The Villa is really well appointed with UK tv channels. The large kitchen was fully equipped and we could even do our washing. It was a really special stay and we hope to go back again next year.

A SEDUCTIVE VILLA

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit and the villa was as immaculately prepared as ever. It is extremely well equipped and has lots of character, a real home not just a holiday villa. the pool area and its surrounds are beautiful and there is a lovely view over the valley towards the mountains. The little village of Jesus Pobre is only a short walk and has several good bars and restaurants .There are also nice walks through the surrounding countryside from the villa and yet its only a ten minute drive to the busier seaside towns of Javea and Denia.sue and Nick are charming and helpful hosts. Thoroughly recommended. JBM

Secluded, lush, spacious.

  • 5 of 5

Casita de alba was more than I expected. The property is charming, full of character and spacious. The bedrooms are spread out, and there are three lovely bathrooms. The kitchen is very well appointed, and you could easily cater for a crowd.

Susan provided plenty of information about the area, and the place was very clean and comfortable.

The weather was glorious during our stay. Every day the sun was shining, and we enjoyed cooling off in the large sparkling pool which is surrounded by lush trees and shrubs.

We mostly enjoyed chilling out on the patio taking in the views of the valley and mountains in the evening light.

Jesus Pobre is a quaint village a few minutes stroll from the villa, which has a marvellous market on a Sunday night. We enjoyed meeting some of the locals, and eating the delicious food sold here.

I will certainly go back to this very special place.

Location

From the Owner

I bought Casa Almareka in 1987 and then Casita de Alba in 1997. Having been a Travel Rep for several years I completely fell in love with Jesus Pobre and the surrounding area and dreamt of being able to own my home in Spain. Both villas are located close to The Montgo Nature Reserve so ideal for walking and observing the abundance of beautiful flowers and the scenery yet only a short drive to the wonderful beaches of Javea or Denia The village is near so easy for everyday needs and when in need of a livelier time you have bars, clubs, markets also only a short drive away. There is the 5 star La Sella Golf Course, horse riding and water sports so there is something for everyone. The villa is in a quiet, secluded location yet between Alicante and Valencia. Ideal for flights.

Activity and Interests

Approximately 1 hour drive from Alicante and Valencia airports.

Car is advised.

Distances:

Jesus Pobre is the nearest village and is within walking distance. . The Montgo Nature Reserve is 5 minutes away with beautiful walks, views and scenery. Denia and Javea are only a short drive away and there are many places of interest.

Further Details:
