This beautiful 2 bedroom apartment is situated on the top floor of the Manoir Savoie building located in the heart of the superb, newly developed, car free resort of Arc 1950. It has been updated in Summer 2016 with new lighting and kitchen fittings. Two large balconies facing South and East offer views towards the impressive peak of Aiguille Rouge and snow covered pistes. The apartment offers excellent access to the pistes, as well as a good choice of quality shops, restaurants and bars. Facilities include underground parking, outdoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam/sauna rooms and gym. The resort has been beautifully designed and built in wood and stone, Savoyard style.

Perfect location, beautiful apartment and enough skiing for a month.

The 3 of us stayed for a week in early March 2016 and have to say the apartment is one of the best places we have stayed in the Alps. Arc 1950 is a perfect ski in ski out location with great local amenities and in building services. The apartment itself is beautifully presented and is perfect for a relax after a long day of skiing. The included pool, hot tub and sauna/steam room on the ground floor are extra additions that no ski holiday could be without.

Stephen was very helpful from the moment we made our booking right up to and past our arrival date and it completely took any stress out of the planning process.

We will certainly be looking to return again in the future. Highly recommended!

One of the best ski apartments I've stayed at

The property is ideally situated for all the local amenities and also the ski runs as well as the bubble to Arcs 2000. It is extremely well equipped and having 2 bathrooms is a real bonus. The use of the pool/sauna/steam room in the basement is also great - but do choose your time to go as it can get busy late afternoon/early evening. The double bed is a little bouncy but the skiing assertions soon send you to sleep. Will definitely be back.

Great place!

Really impressed with this well designed, comfortable and quiet apartment, in a very central spot in the village. With two small children, it means we eat in a lot, and in this apartment we found all the equipment that we needed in the kitchen which made life so much easier.

Because it is part of the Radisson village, there were some nice hotel-touches to our self-catering stay - towels, robes and toiletries, and a really helpful concierge and baggage storage facility.

We were lucky with the snow this April, and found it really easy to get around the resort which was practically ski-in, ski-out (for the more confident skiers in our party).

We didn't have a car, we travelled by train and transfers were really easy to sort out. I was worried that we might need a car, but we didn't and the shops and restaurants in the village catered for everything we needed.

We would love to come again!

Finally...

Finally a fairly priced, well appointed and spacious apartment to complete a good all round ski holiday. The owners are quick to respond to queries, and the little touches left by the cleaning company go a long way to making us welcome. Pretty much everything you need in the kitchen for self catering. Abundance of bathroom towels. We would definitely book again.

Location

From the Owner

We have privately owned the apartment since purchase and opted out of leasing the property back to Radisson who manage the building. This enabled us to upgrade certain furnishings to our own taste thus adding a sense of 'exclusivity' to the accommodation. We also opted for a top floor apartment in a quiet part of the building with wonderful views from two separate balconies.

Nearest Ski : Les Arcs

Travel:

Nearest airports include : Chambery (1 hr 30min), Grenoble (1hr 50), Lyon (2hr 20), Geneva (2 hr 30).

Eurostar direct from St Pancras to Bourg St Maurice, then funiculaire and bus directly to Arc 1950. Underground car parking available below apartment (direct lift access to apartment).

Distances:

Bourg St Maurice is only 25/30 minutes away by Car. Val d'Isere 1 hour 15 minutes.

Further Details:

This pretty pedestrianized village offers several restaurants/bars, ski/board hire shops, ski school and a ski pass office. There is also a SPAR mini market selling local products, a bakery, a wine merchant and a pharmacy. Arc 1950 was awarded the “Best ski development and Best French apartments” in the Homes Overseas Awards.

  • This apartment is decorated to a high standard with pitched ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace, adding a ‘chalet’ like ambiance. The en-suite double bedroom has doors onto a large balcony with a fantastic Southeasterly aspect and views towards tree covered mountains. There is also a twin bedroom with separate bathroom and separate WC. The open-plan living/dining area is spacious with the benefit of a double sofa bed and doors onto a South-facing balcony. There is also a fully fitted and well-equipped kitchen. This apartment is strictly NON-SMOKING and pets are not permitted. Outside: Two large balconies with views towards the peak of Aiguille Rouge and snow covered pistes. Outdoor pool, indoor jacuzzi sauna, steam room and gym.
