Apartment in La Grande Terche, Nr. Morzine, French Alps - Only 75m from Main Chairlift, 5 Mins drive to Portes De Soleil

La Grande Terche is a small traditional Savoyard village, being a mixture of old farm buildings and tastefully designed apartment blocks set in a beautiful backdrop of mountains and stunning scenery. Our apartment is spacious and in a central position in La Grande Terche. Geneva airport is approx 75 minutes drive and Lake Geneva is only 40 minutes drive. Part of the vast Portes du Soleil ski network - which includes the excellent ski resorts of Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz and Chatel - the village also has an extensive ski area of its own with lifts only 100m from the apartment. There is a ski-school office in La Grande Terche and nursery slopes for beginners at the top of the lifts. There are some 40km of pistes entering 3 different valleys, and 14 lifts directly accessible from the village. La Grande Terche is about as distant from industrialized skiing as you can get. Whether you are expert skier or intermediate, the 7km long circuit from La Grande Terche is fantastic.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to look at our property. I have put a lot of time and thought in to making it a home from home holiday house. I enjoy what we have worked very hard for and would expect people to do the same.

Why Jason Riggs chose

La Grande Terche has a seasonal community of it's own, and is equipped with all the necessary amenities you would expect: bars, restaurants, tobacconist, ski-shops and launderette. St Jean is five minutes down the valley, and offers further shops and restaurants, pharmacy, doctor's surgery, banks, mini markets and tourist office. An excellent 'Champion' supermarket is also only 5 minutes away. Morzine only 10 minutes away, is well-heeled and chic, with some expensive shops and great restaurants. There is a ski-school in La Grande Terche, and nursery slopes for beginners at the top of the lifts. There are some 40km of pistes entering three different valleys, and 14 lifts directly accessible from the village. This is why we love the area.

What makes this apartment unique

Relais is the largest building in the village of La Grande Terche. The corridors are roomy and heated and the exterior well maintained. After going through the main entrance, you walk up one flight of stairs to the level of our apartment. Outside the apartment the corridor heating is always on, so handy for keeping your ski-boots nice and warm.

    Changeover day is Saturdays. Arrival times are preferred Mid day. It is your responsibility to leave 100 euro,s for the maid to clean the apartment when you leave..if this is not left for the cleaner when you depart i will take 100 euro,s out of deposit.

On the top floor mezzanine there is a king size bed.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: Centrally heated. Outside: We are situated in a perfect position in the village, it's great for walking and chilling out after a hard days skiing. Outside the apartment block- to the back there is off road parking and to the front there is a small lawned area. Utility Room: There is a tumble-dryer on the balcony. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedding and towels are supplied. Upon departure we ask that you put all towels in the bathroom. Strip the beds and leave bedding on the landing. A cleaner will then wash all linen and clean the apartment. Other: Skis can be left in storage in the local shop and preferential rates can be obtain through our recommendation as we know the Owner.
