"I cannot begin to describe how wonderful our stay at Farm House and Pig House was two weeks ago. We had the most wonderful time at your most special of properties. It exceeded all expectations. We were not prepared for the spectacular views, the ultra-luxurious nature of that incredible pool, the level of detail to which you have renovated the houses and the hospitality and support from your caretaker, Corrado, who is a jewel" Megwin Finegan Hoopes (July 2012)
“This secluded site offers a wonderful view on a typical Umbrian landscape. The garden is beautiful with its olive trees and seasonal fruit trees. The property is very well kept by Corrado, whom we found to be extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. The Farm House is very well restored. Its old masonry structure copes well with the summer heat and offers a well-equipped kitchen, very spacious bedrooms bathrooms and ample space for our group of seven, inside as well as on the terrace" PL (Aug 2012)

What to say! The views are simply breath taking, the pool is as impressive as it looks in the pictures, if you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all - this is the place to come! We stayed in the Pig House for two weeks, it was comfortable, modern, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The towels and bed linen were changed half way through our stay which was great! The owners, Simon and Michaela were at their property for part of our stay and they could not have been more welcoming and friendly, even booked us into their favourite local restaurant to ensure we got a table on a busy Friday night! Corado who is the local property manager was also incredibly friendly and helpful. There's so much to do and see in the surrounding area - you'll definitely need a car. There's not a huge amount of restaurant choice in Bettona so we tended to eat a main meal at lunchtime when we went out sight seeing and then made light snacks at the villa in the evening. There's a local supermarket that has the basics - if you want a bit more choice head for Perugia where there is a large supermarket! We ate at the hotel in Bettona a couple of times which is a 10 minute (quite hilly walk!) Take mosquito repellent in the summer months - we did get bitten a fair bit, apparently you can get wrist bands in boots that work really well! We loved Spoletto, Perugia and Assisi, so many beautiful places to visit. There's quite a few steps up a steep hill to get to the pool area so not great for buggies or anyone who struggles with climbing stairs - worked fine for us as kept us fit and our 4 and 8 year olds raced each other up and down! All in all, a fantastic holiday and will definitely be heading back to Italy - the children are determined to go back to the Pig House next year!
