This delightfully attractive Duplex Apartment within a block of 5, has been beautifully furnished throughout and equipped to a very high self-catering standard. The Apartment enjoys stunning views of the famous ’Carmelite’ Church, Valletta and Marsamxett Harbour from its own private sun terrace, whilst enjoying a peaceful location just a short distance away from the popular ‘Strand’.

The modern fully equipped kitchen/diner leads onto the sun terrace, furnished with table, chairs and sunloungers. Hours of sunshine can be enjoyed throughout the year….. or simply dine ‘al fresco’ and watch the amazing firework displays in an evening across the harbour during the festa celebrations.

Local bars and restaurants are just minutes away, serving tasty traditional dishes and local wines. The bus terminus in Sliema is just a 10 minute walk and provides a cheap and easy way to enjoy so many of the local attractions.

More enthusiastic shoppers can enjoy a visit to one of the newest and most fashionable malls on the Island. 'The Point' located at 'Tigne' offers a variety of shops including designer, fashion and sportswear....all just within a short walking distance from the Apartment into the centre of Sliema.

Gorgeous penthouse apartment with stunning view

Dear Jill,

Thank-you so much for welcoming us to your beautiful home. My Husband and I were greeted at the airport by a lovely man who welcomed us to Malta and drove us to the apartment. Once there we found the building easily accessible and were blown away by the beautifully decorated two storey penthouse apartment with no fewer than FIVE, yes FIVE outdoor spaces.

We fell in love with Malta and agreed we would move right in if we could!

The views are stunning and we enjoyed cooking and eating out on the terrace as much as dining in the many good restaurants in the area.

We enjoyed trips to Valletta (twice), Mdina and a long walk to via St Julians to Paceville and back again - taking everything in.

Four days really isn't long enough!

We were so impressed with Jill's kindness and great communication which also enabled us to have a stress free transaction.

We would very highly recommend Jill and her property and hope to visit Malta again in the near future.

Fantastic Apartment with amazing views!

My partner and I enjoyed a great short break at this lovely Apartment which is everything as described and in such a perfect location. Modern, bright and extremely well equipped with a fab sun terrace capturing views of Valletta.....this is definately the place to stay!

We were extremely grateful to our host for making our arrival so comfortable and welcoming and for arranging our taxi transfer from the Airport. We're already looking forward to our return visit next year.

Luxury - hardly

Really looked forward to staying here as we know Sliema well. Unfortunately we only stayed in the apartment for one night (we had booked for a week) due to the reality of the apartment and the description not matching.

We were particularly looking forward to the luxury aspect of the apartment but this is certainly not the case for the reasons listed below.

No space in the bedroom to put anything - the wardrobe was full and there was not a shelf or drawer

A blind in the bedroom that did not block any light - full sun at 4.30am

No waste bin on the ground floor

A wash basin that was not fit for the purpose of shaving, as it was extremely small with no mirror

The towels being small and close to threadbare

Toilet paper being the cheapest available

The corner kitchen cupboard and surface having a substantial amount of insects on it

No light in the kitchen making it difficult to cook a meal

Lack of matching glasses and cups

No umbrella on the sun terrace

Cushions that did not fit the chairs

I have tried to communicate with the owner but she sees no problem with any of the above.

Over the past 3-4 years the Apartment has seen no less than 100 bookings from all over the world, and feedback from guests has been excellent. On the contrary, comments have been positive with many returning guests. Constructive criticism will always be welcomed in order to improve standards'. The reply to my guest on the 12th July is as follows:- 'On reflection, I feel your comments are exaggerated and based on personal opinion and not facts. I have therefore asked 'OwnersDirect' for their comments as I believe that you may have knowingly posted negative feedback on the website, to gain compensation'.

Great location

Hi Jill,

Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed our visit to Malta. The location of your apartment was as you said, perfectly placed to enjoy the Island and get around. Transport links great and we used the buses and several occasions including the Hop on/off tours which enabled us to visit many great sights. A cruise around the Island on HERA II was a great day. A stroll out to a local Restaurant on an evening was a perfect end to the day with Ta Kriss a particular favorite. Once again thanks for your communication prior to our trip which made everything run smoothly and also arranging transport for us with George.

You have a lovely apartment in what I would say is the best area of Malta.

Wonderful location

Our holiday in this lovely flat was ideal. The view from the terrace over the rooftops and across the harbour, was a delight, especially when the fireworks were displaying in the distance! The location was quiet and yet just a 3 minute walk to the harbour promenade, where we had plenty of choice for places to eat and for transport options to the rest of the Malta or Gozo. We definitely recommend this location!

Fantastic Stay

Absolutely fantastic apartment. The apartment is very well equipped, immaculate and extremely comfortable. Located in a quiet area a minutes walk from Sliema Strand with all the restaurants & bars. Ideal base for exploring the island of Malta. Could not have asked for a better apartment for our 2 weeks stay. Roof terrace view is amazing and perfect for soaking up the Malta sun.

Coast/Beach:

Although there are no sandy beaches in Sliema, sunbathing is predominantly from rocky platforms surrounded by warm rock pools, just a short walking distance from the Apartment. There is a small beach in St George's Bay, however more variety to the North of the Island, easily accessible by local transport. A short bus ride will take you to Malta's most popular beaches at Mellieha Bay, Paradise Bay and Golden Bay. On the approach Road to Mellieha a sign to Anchor Bay leads to a pretty little sandy bay and 'Popeye Village' where 'Popeye' the movie was filmed.

Travel:

The Airport is approximately 15 minutes away. Taxis are readily available on arrival or can be pre-booked in advance with the Owner, fare payable locally.

In addition, Wembleys is a very reliable Taxi Company who not only provide a 24 hour service, but also guided tours of the island in their air-conditioned vehicles, 00356 2137 4141. (Fares are normally cheaper than 'white taxis').

Car hire is available locally and relatively cheap. (Be warned that the quality of driving may be a little erratic).

Distances:

Ferries and Water Taxis depart from Sliema to Valletta taking just minutes to cross the Harbour. Alternatively, local transport travels all over the Island for, currently, just 6.50 Euros for a 7-Day ticket, available at the Airport or locally. 'Hop-On', 'Hop Off' buses are also an easy way to explore this fascinating Island and these travel both North and South. Check with the booking agent as many include a Harbour cruise with the day ticket.

Further Details:

There are many small shops nearby selling local produce, groceries and a variety of household goods. These are convenient for stocking up on essentials, however, prices tend to be higher than the 'Tower' or 'Scotts' supermarkets. Both are conveniently situated in the centre of Sliema, and deliveries can be arranged if orders are in excess of 50 Euros.
