The chalet itself features a large (60sqm2) open-plan kitchen/living area on the second floor, with floor to ceiling windows, complete with a wood burning stove. Whilst open-plan in design, the kitchen is off-set to the seating and dining areas which have ample seating for 10 people. French doors lead out to a balcony with stunning views towards the Pleney slopes in Morzine town. Bigger than average bedrooms are all en-suite with either new showers or shower/bath combinations, with one double and three twin/double rooms - one of which can be used as a family room as it also has bunks. The chalet is fully equipped to cater for the independent holidaymaker with all mod-cons including: Internet access/wi-fi, flat screen TV with Sky satellite channels, DVD, boot warmer, washing machine/dryer, separate utility room, dishwasher and secure ski/board storage and parking for 2 cars. There is also an additional dvd player in the family room and table football in the garage.

Morzine has been our home for 7 years. It offers a great base for skiing in the Portes du Soleil. During the summer, the town continues to be lively, attracting many walkers and bikers.

Fantastic Chalet, comfortable & Modern

We have stayed in this Chalet before and had great memories of it. We wasn't disappointed when we went again this New Year. Although there was not much snow it didn't spoil our holiday at all. Great Chalet and Tracey was so lovely and helpful with anything that we needed. Love this Chalet so much we have booked again for New year 2016/17. Highly recommend.

Fabulous chalet

Fab chalet, beautifully renovated with all the facilities you want for a self-catered option. The chalet was very clean and conveniently located for the free ski bus. The services provided by the operating company are well worth taking advantage of. We got all our ski equipment and ski passes sorted before we arrived. We would definitely recommend the chalet and company and will be looking to book again.

We manage this property for the owners who live in Morzine. They lovingly restored and refurbished the farmhouse to the highest quality and it has proved extremely popular with holiday makers in both winter and summer with many returning each year.

Special interest holidays:

Biking - both road and mountain biking is extremely popular. The ski lifts convert to lifts that take bikes up the mountains. The Tour de France returns to Morzine on the 11th - 13th July.

Ski runs become beautiful summer meadows filled with wild flowers and later in the autumn offer up fantastic foraging opportunities with mrytles, mushrooms, wild raspberries and strawberries to be found!

Coast/Beach:

The lakeside beaches of Lake Geneva are only 40 minutes away. Thonon Le Bain has outdoor pools, and the lake itself offers a range of summer activities and a selection of lakeside fish restaurants.

Travel:

Geneva airport (Easyjet and many airlines) is 1 hour 10 mins drive away. Transport to and from the airport is plentiful.

Distances:

The chalet is located just 50m from the free ski bus stop, running regularly to all the lifts in the Valley and into Morzine town centre, a brief 3 min drive away. The nearest ski lift is 1km down the road, accessing straight into the Portes du Soleil ski region. Other key towns like Evian and Thonon on Lake Geneva are only a 40 min drive away.

Further Details:

Morzine town is a lively centre featuring many bars and restaurants serving local Savoyard and international food and wine. There is a regular Wednesday morning market all year round and there are 3 supermarkets within the town itself. Ski equipment and outdoor activity hire shops are abundant.

Notes:

  • There is a wood burning stove and wood is provided in the winter. There is a full size table football in the garage. There is a garden/BBQ area for the summer. Outside: Outside garden area for lounging/BBQ plus balcony off the main sitting area. 200 metres from beautiful riverside walk up to national park wilderness or the other direction takes you into town along the River Dranse. Utility Room: Washing machine, dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels included in rental price. Cleaning is provided at the start of the rental period and clients are expected to leave the chalet as they find it, otherwise an additional cleaning charge will be applied. Other: The living room also includes a large dining area and dining table comfortably seating 10 people. The lounge area features a very large leather sofa and separate armchair with a little off-set snug reading area. We operate the Multipass Scheme at this chalet, giving reduced access to many amenities.
