Hi, thank you for visiting our site. We are Steve & Edite Hill and we have chosen to settle in Touffailles due to it's beauty, tranquility, abundant wildlife, climate and convenient locality. Our property benefits from being surrounded by history and the name "Cruzel" could be found on local maps of the village from 1260. Steve is a 2CV restorer and France is a natural place for him to be. Edite works as an estate agent for Beauxvillages.com. Together we are enjoying walking, cycling and exploring this beautiful part of France. We are enjoying the life in Cruzel and would like to welcome you to share the experience however long or short it might be. So whatever your requirements for a particular day are, relax by the pool, or find adventure at the local sites it is your choice!
Steve or Edite Hill purchased this apartment in 2008

Steve and Edite greeted us with a fabulous warm welcome. Nibbles and a glass or two of wine were quaffed. It was much appreciated after a long car journey. The gite was very clean and has everything that you needed to make your stay enjoyable. We stayed in the larger gite for two weeks which has a pleasant shaded terrace, plus BBQ for alfresco dining . The pool was spotless and clear and was very refreshing after our two weeks of sizzling weather (SCORCHIO). It has a great shaded terrace and seating area if you want to escape the searing sun. It also has a shower, sauna and toilet (very handy, so you don’t have to traipes back to your gite all dripping wet) A fridge to place your beers and lunch and BBQ. Steve and Edite were always on hand if needed and suggested excellent places to see, and explore. Plus the superb local Auberge de Miramont to eat in with a delicious Menu du Jour for 14€ , three courses, wine included!!. The night markets (seasonal) in local villages are a must and have a very amicable atmosphere. Touffailles has some spectacular scenery in and around its environs. We explored the nearby charming medieval villages of Lauzert, Moissac, Beauville, Montague de Quercy and beyond. The Sunday market at Montcuq is delightful and Steve will tell you the best place to park (go early). We still haven’t finished exploring the area and are going back next year. Can’t wait.
