Thanksgiving Avalable! 4 bed, 3 bath, Waterfront pool home, 2 mins to the beach

Updated: 18-Oct-2016
Waterfront House in the Northern Village of Anna Maria Island, Gulf of Mexico - Stunning Setting Just 2 Mins Walk To The Beach, 5 Mins To The City Pier, 2 Mins Drive to Bean Point

Anna Maria Island is linked to the mainland by two bridges. Being a preservation area there are no high rise buildings or fast food chains. It is just like stepping back in time with two piers a walk away from our home where you can hire a rod for a few dollars. Situated on the water we enjoy sitting in the covered Lanai and watching the wildlife with a drink in the evening or a cup of tea in the morning! A visit to ‘Bean Point’ to watch the sun go down with a stop at the deli for coffee and a muffin is a must.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My husband and his family stayed at this lovely home. We had 5 adults and 2 teenagers. The bedrooms are large and beds were accomodating for the number of people we had. The kitchen was well equipped as was each bathroom with towels. We spent many evenings in the screened porch area which is large and has a beauitful oval table that accomodated all 7 of us playing cards. The pool area is beautiful with 4 padded lounge chairs. The home and property is clean and well maintained. The photos reflect the true appearance; however, I believe the pool area is far more beautiful than the photos show!

We had a great time on Anna Maria Island and enjoyed your home tremendously. We met your neighbors on the right and met a visitor a few houses down as well. We actually got to swim with visiting manatees in the gulf which was a real treat.I especially liked how your house is laid out with the various sitting areas. I love the upgrades you have done – the bathrooms and the kitchen.

Family holiday in paradise

  • 5 of 5

The house was everything we expected, and a lot more. The location is very peaceful, people in adjoining properties only seemed to arrive at the weekend. The pool was a godsend in the heat, beautiful temperature for cooling off. The birdlife was amazing, we didn't need to leave the property. Ospreys in numbers, Bald Eagles, Pelicans, Parakeets. Sadly no Manatees during our visit. But Dolphins off the beach every day. AMI is beautiful and this end of the island is the best, so quaint, peaceful and safe. Elaine was very kind and helpful when organising our stay.

Loved this house!

We stayed here in June, the house was just perfect! Small and cozy, but still spacious enough for the entire family. The owner was extremely nice.

Paradise found!

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from our holiday of a lifetime!! We loved the laid back and relaxed atmosphere of Anna Maria Island, especially after the busy time we'd had in Orlando !!! The villa was perfect, very comfortable, even with 2 families and in an idyllic location. The Big Fish Realty were very efficient and provided an excellent service for any queries. We lived in the pool, which was very clean and well maintain and enjoyed the comforts of the lounge areas and the lanai for drinks and relaxation! The kids ( and me!!) enjoy the use of the bikes - the island is so safe to ride around, especially to 2 scoops for ice cream! The local restaurants were delicious and very good value for money - our favourite was the Rod and Reel- best swordfish ever!! Thanks Elaine - it's been a pleasure and easy process, booking and staying in your beautiful villa. I would highly recommend to all our family and friends!!

Family Honeymoon in Anna Maria Island

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful house on a a beautiful Island.

We had a fantastic holiday swimming in the pool, fishing from the deck, spending time at the beach, eating, drinking and relaxing.

A brilliant second week in Florida after a first very hectic (but fun) week in Orlando.

Highly recommended - thank you Elaine.

Lovely house, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Excellent service from the rental company when there were some minor problems. Close to beach with super beach furniture to take with us and cool box too! Excellent Trolley service to Sarasota and lovely Restaurants at St Armands Circle. Good shopping too.

Local Restaurants were expensive and not really fine dining as the Brits recognise it. Over salted and over flavoured.

Good ice cream and the beaches were great. Swam with wild dolphins in the Gulf!!!

Pier really interesting and all happy to chat re the fishing

One draw back. Mosquitos were fierce. Insect cream essential in the evenings and for the sensitive, all the time. Good holiday.

From the Owner

We decided to buy a home on Anna Maria Island during our first visit over Christmas 2004. The first evening we dined at The Sandbar and were completely bowled over with the location right on the beach. From where we are situated we enjoy riding our bikes to the beaches, the quaint coffee shops and local restaurants. The roads are very quiet and safe for children to ride their bikes and play. The northern tip of the island is very quiet and relaxing, on the other hand in just 20 minutes I can be shopping in the Desota Mall or in just under 1 hour visit the International Mall, Tampa for the larger department stores and designer boutiques. We have travelled to many Countries and stayed in beautiful hotels but we always prefer to return to Florida and the hidden gem Anna Maria Island.

Activity and Interests

As the island is surrounded by beautiful white beaches you can choose which direction to go. The nearest is Anna Maria City Beach on Tampa Bay just a 2 minute walk away. Close by we have '2 Scoops' Ice Cream parlour and Anna Maria City Pier.

A 3 minute drive takes you to the Beach at Bean Point where the beach curves around the tip of the island. The long stretch of beach on the Gulf Of Mexico is reached by car in 3 minutes.

Sarasota Airport 30 minutes drive. Tampa International Airport 1 hour drive. Orland Interntational Airport 2 hours 15 minutes drive.

Long Boat Key is linked to Anna Maria Island and takes 18 minutes by car. From here you can carry on until you reach Sarasota`s Armand Circle in another 5 minutes. Here you can visit the famous Ringling Museum and if you are interested the Classic Cars Museum is well worth a visit.

Further Details:

On the island there is one Publix Supermarket and we have a General Store local to the house now serving home made muffins, cookies and sandwiches with a variety of bread on offer. Some highly recommended restaurants are the Sandbar situated on the beach, The Sign of The Mermaid, The Waterfront, Eat Here tapas style , The Beach Bistro for that special occasion and breakfast on the Road and Reel Pier whilst watching the dolphins swim is a real treat.

From the Owner

Our home is on ground level and is extremely spacious. The separate lounge areas provide space and comfort and is ideal for 2 families to enjoy but not feel on top of each other! The Queen Master bedroom is located by the kitchen and lounge overlooking the pool. Early morning you can make a cup of tea without waking everyone else and either sit in the sun lounge or outside in the lanai, a few steps away. The other side of the house is the King Master with a large walk in wardrobe and has a sliding door into the Lanai. Dining is easy with the choice of eating inside or in the Lanai the choice is yours!
