Top Traveller Review

About the Owner

My husband and I bought Bryn Goleu primarily as a holiday home for ourselves and our 3 daughters aged now 21, 18 and 14 6 years ago. It has proven to be the best investment we have ever made. We spend at least a weekend each month and some of the main school holiday's here. We are always contactable by telephone and only too happy to help you with any queries before your holiday and on the rare occasion with any problems you may encounter once you're at the cottage.

Beautiful home in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a family birthday and it was amazing, we were lucky with the weather but could imagine this place being as lovely in the winter. The house is close enough to drive to Abersoch for shops, restaurants & pubs so easy to get supplies in. As for the house its gorgeous and well equipped, the view from the kitchen is amazing and watching the birds feeding from the bird table was lovely, we had to tear ourselves away! If your after peace & quiet apart from the sounds of birds, cows & sheep which was perfect for us then this is the place to go, we all felt so relaxed when it was time to go home. And that was the only bad part having to leave 😒 Already making plans to go back 😀

Location

From the Owner

We looked long and hard for Bryn Goleu and truly believe we couldn't have found a better property. It is peaceful and private but close to our beloved Abersoch. We can be down in the village in our car in 10 minutes. The views are to die for and even on a terrible day, tucked by the log burning stove it has a strange magical quality especially as we are so high up we sometimes disappear into the clouds! We have been carefully restoring the property over the last few years and have completed the last of the bathrooms making it an up-market 5* property and replaced all the slate patio which wraps around the property. We already have many returning guests which is lovely and 1 party coming back for their 7th visit in 2014. It appeals to all - adult only parties and families alike.

Facilities

From the Owner

The space of the property and the way it is laid out gives a party of 8 adults or 2 families enough space to feel not on top of each other. The kitchen is well equipped even for the best dinner party. Everyone comments on the comfy sofa and the beautiful inglenook fireplace. The linen and comfortable beds and pillows are always remarked upon too! We supply all linen, towels, T-towels. There will be enough tea, coffee, sugar to make those first few drinks! Abersoch is to us the best village in North Wales, plenty of up market shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. The beach is beautiful and safe with good parking available. The Llyn itself is an Area of Outstanding Beauty with many other beaches to enjoy, plenty of walks and many activities to keep all the family amused.
