Luxury Villa in Moraira, Costa Blanca North, Spain - Air Conditioning, Stunning Sea and Mountain Views

Superb luxury villa with three double individually designed bedrooms, each en-suite with its own private terrace and air conditioning. The main living area has dining terraces on both sides, including alongside the heated pool. Estrellita (little star in Spanish) was built in 2005 as a private holiday home to the owners’ high specifications. In a spectacular hilltop position, the three-storey property enjoys panoramic sea, valley and mountain views yet is just eight minutes drive from the delightful fishing town of Moraira. The attractive coastal towns of Javea and Denia as well as major theme parks including Aqualand and Terra Mitica are all within a half hour drive – ideal for a big day out with the kids. Both Alicante and Valencia international airports are an hour away. Sunshine hours are long and the area is a good all year round destination whatever the weather in the UK. Even includes a beautiful stainless steel sculpture on the balcony.

About Nick Jenkins

We have had a holiday homes in Moraira for over 25 years and love the area. Our new Spanish home was designed with our detailed input to make it ideal for the perfect vacation. It is important to us that every bedroom is equal, so that no-one feels second best. Hence our decision to have all of them with ensuite, air conditioning and their own private terraces. We designed it with terraces either side of the main living area so you can dine outside using the BBQ or well-equipped kitchen and sit by the heated pool or looking down the valley to the sea. Its location is truly spectacular - you're on top of the world! The most obvious sign of our very special commitment to 'Estrellita' (Little Star) is the beautiful stainless steel sculpture we commissioned from one of the UK's top sculptors.

Why Nick Jenkins chose Moraira

The villa is at the top of the El Portet valley, which is the most prestigious area around Moraira.

It is ideal for holidays due to the mix that is on offer. Moraira itself is an extremely attractive fishing town, with more excellent bars and restaurants than you will ever manage to sample. Its Marina and yacht club have set the upmarket tone. It has been protected from high rise hotel development and is villa-based for more discerning travellers. There are numerous excellent golf clubs in the area plus plenty of shops and markets (shoes and handbags are a must buy). Other local attractions include go-karting, jet skiing, boat hire and scuba diving. There’s really something for everyone whatever age! The beaches are excellent and there are many small coves and bays to discover.

What makes this villa unique

We are particularly proud of our three ensuite bedrooms that set Estrellita apart from most holiday homes in the area. Almost all others only have ensuite for the master bedroom and others have to share bathroom facilities.

The Black and White Suite, Blue Suite and Purple Suite all have double beds and sliding doors to their own private terraces. It is ideally located as a base for Moraira and travelling inland or for a day out to numerous locations. A favourite of ours is the superb city of Valencia, with its mix of historic old city and ultra-modern public science park.

Notes on accommodation: The villa also has under floor heating. When it was constructed the owners worked closely with the builders to create the ideal holiday home and it is unique in prestigious Vall Paradise to have all bedrooms ensuite with their own private terraces. The pool has a specially designed water feature and its own outside shower as well as having the option of being heated. Perhaps the most unusual feature of Estrellita is the sculpture of 'Perdita' by renowned UK sculptor Sam Holland, who has several national public works of art in the UK. The terraces on both sides ensure that you can sit in the sun or shade both morning and afternoon, plus providing two different dining locations. The villa is beautifully but simply furnished in contemporary style with much of the furniture custom-made by a local craftsman. Complimenting the wide mix of restaurants and bars are beautiful countryside, golf courses, beaches and great opportunities for scuba diving and snorkelling in the area. Outside: 8 x4m heated swimming pool with Roman steps, underwater lighting, water feature and outside shower. Terraces both sides of the living area, ideal for outside dining, with gas mobile BBQ, plus sun loungers. Each bedroom has its own private terrace with sea views. There is also a lower terrace - ideal for playing Petanque! There is a private gated parking area. Utility Room: Washing machine, sink unit, drying area and worktops. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen and towels are included. The property is carefully prepared and set up for all new arrivals by our cleaners. Other: A special secret: Guests share the valley view terrace with a remarkable stainless steel sculpture called 'Perdita' specially commissioned by the owners - you can even read her story when you are here. There is also a lockable gated carport.

Home from home!

Estrellita is at the top of a hill above a small "estate", like many villas in Spain. The views are awesome and the location is convenient for the surrounding area, with Moraira only 5 mins away in the car. The villa is well equipped with everything you could possibly need AND it all works- we really felt at home. Particularly brill was that the (v lovely) agents leave bits from occupants eg teabags, lilos, washing up stuff and provide a good welcome pack. Only downside we found was that the pool was a bit chilly as it does not get sun all day. A great holiday though!

Superb stay

We booked this villa only two days prior to departure-and what an excellent choice we made! The villa is exactly as described, well-equipped and very clean.

However for us the best feature was the wonderful view from the terraces, particularly the one where Perdita is positioned (really enjoyed her story). You could certainly never tire of that view!

We would thoroughly recommend the villa, and the area as a whole. Many Thanks for a great stay.

The El Portet beach is 2 miles down the valley and Moraira is equally close. There are many small beaches and coves to discover along the coast, such as Granadella and Cumbre del Sol. Enjoy a beachside drink and snack at various bars such as El Chamizo, Algas or others. There are many great snorkelling spots, plus scuba diving.


Alicante 50 miles and Valencia 65 miles airports are both about one hour away. To take advantage of the area a hire car is the best option. Taxis and buses are available at reasonable prices.


Moraira has a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants. Exclusive El Portet is just down the valley and has an attractive beach and bay with beachfront bar restaurants and the wonderful Le Dauphin fine dining restaurant for your special celebration. Benissa 5 miles. Javea 10 miles. Calpe 10 miles and Denia 15 miles are all worth a visit. Benidorm and its theme parks is 40 minutes along the coast.

Further Details:

Inland there are a few gems you should try and take in on your visit. Jalon is a major wine region with Bodegas (wine cellars)and the village has an excellent 'Rastro' - fascinating trash and treasure Saturday market. Guadalest is a beautiful historic hilltop village reached through a tiny doorway in the mountains. Spectacular natural water falls at Callosa, great for a picnic.

Booking Notes:
Please contact the owners (Nick and Marion) via email or telephone. There is a non-refundable 25% deposit payable on booking. The security deposit is £300 (€400) at the time of booking, which is returned as soon as the keys are returned to the owner. A welcome pack of basic provisions is included in the price.

Changeover Day:
The normal changeover day is Saturday, but can be flexible if bookings allow. Arrival is from 4pm onwards and checkout by 10am.

Notes on prices:
Prices are in Sterling (UK Pounds), but we are happy to accept Euros at the applicable exchange rate. NB: The pool heating is optional and is charged at an extra £100 per week if required. We are happy to consider discounts for longer lets.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
