Villa in Oliva, Costa del Azahar / Valencia, Spain

Modern 2 bedroom villa with private pool and car-port for off road parking. There is a large split level terrace to the rear of the property which is ideal for sunbathing or eating out. The property also has a roof terrace with panoramic views of the coast to one side and mountain pines on the other. The nearest town is Oliva which is a 5 minute drive away and any of the major visitor centres such as Benidorm or Valencia can be reached by car in under 45 minutes.

About John

My wife Elaine and I are from Scotland. We are now both retired and hope to spend a lot more of our time in Spain.

John purchased this villa in 2004

Why John chose Valencia Province

The house was a new build and was completed by a local builder in October 2004. Since then several features such as the rear terraces, pool and car port/front garden have been added as and when we could afford it. We chose this area as it is away from the traditional Costa resorts but still close to the award winning local beaches which are still quiet even in the high season.

What makes this villa unique

Although the area is away from the traditional Costa resorts they can still be accessed by car in less than 40 minutes if you want to visit for the day. There are several supermarkets in the area varying from the very large Carrefour in Gandia (only 15 minutes in the car) or the many and varied ones in Oliva itself. We usually go to the Mercadona at the north end of the "paseo" because of its convenience and variety. The urbanisation is usually quiet both during the day and at nights and is perfect for chilling out and forgetting about work.

Outside: 6mx3m private pool, split level sun terrace with several sun loungers and lilos to the rear accessed by steps leading down from the naya. There is a table and chairs on the naya and on the sun terrace. A BBQ is provided. There are gardens to both the front and the rear of the property. Utility Room: Includes a washer/dryer, ironing board and iron and hoover as well as buckets/mops etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided but not beach towels. Other: Extensive roof terrace with panoramic views, accessed via spiral staircase off naya.

Lovely villa in a great quiet location with a very nice pool

The villa is very well kept and supplied with all you need. The location up in the hills is ideal for a quiet getaway with the family and it is very nice having a pool to yourselves. The nearby town of Oliva is pleasant and has enough restaurants to eat out as well as good supermarkets. The beaches are really very nice and clean, and remarkably not overrun with tourists given how nice they are. Our only issue was mosquitoes which were a bit of a nuisance so I would recommend repellents etc. Overall a very pleasant holiday, and John is very accommodating and responsive to any specific needs.

The house is just perfect and the pool was too

We stayed at john's for 10 nights and completely loved it, oliva is very quiet and peaceful,and the beach was amazing miles of sand and the sea doesn't get deep for a long way out which was great for my son who's 10, we went to gandia a couple of times which was busy but good, best bits about the house is the pool and the views of mountains one side and the sea the other, we've booked again for next year this time 14nights.

Wonderful Holiday. (Again).

This was the second year running that I have rented this Villa and once again my family and I had a perfect holiday.

The Villa, grounds and pool are all in excellent condition, they are well maintained and were spotlessly clean on our arrival.

If you are looking for a peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings with stunning views, I can highly recommend this Villa.

Once again a very big thank you to John and Elaine for allowing us to rent their Villa.

Lovely Holiday

We had a lovely holiday here in June 2016. The quiet mountain location with its spectacular views suited us perfectly, but you do need a car for getting around. The villa was clean, spacious and well equipped. Communication with the owner was very good and the next door neighbours were very friendly and helpful.

Beautifull Villa in an Idyllic Setting

The Villa, facilities, etc. were as described in the listing. The location was just exceptional, peaceful with stunningly beautiful views all around.

On arrival, we were met by the owners neighbours, a lovely couple, who explained where everything was and how it worked, they also maintained the pool during our stay. The villa, grounds and pool were spotless.

The local town is a short drive away with all the facilities required, shops, petrol station, etc. and there is an abundance of bars and restaurants that serve quality food at very reasonable prices. (Our personal favourite was Honey Dukes).

The local residents are very friendly and helpful.

I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. Towards the end of our holiday I asked my two young children and the wife where they would like to go next year, they all asked me to book the same villa. I have happily complied with their wishes.

In summary, fantastic villa, fantastic setting, fantastic people, all added up to a fantastic holiday.

Pleasant villa

We have stayed in many villas in the area and this one ranks up there with the best. As holiday rentals go what we look for is a clean and comfortable place to relax but within easy reach of amenities and in our case, family and friends. This villa ticks the boxes. The road leading up to Tossal Gros is steep but quite fun once you have mastered the hairpins. The villa is in a quiet area and the views from the top are outstanding. The sofas are really comfortable if all you want is to relax in the evening, and the air con is just enough to drop the heat to a comfy level. Local supermarkets are close by in Oliva and I must recommend a local restaurant called L'horta. If you want great Spanish food this is the place to go. If what you are looking for is a compact comfortable villa in a quiet location with a nice pool this one could tick your boxes too.
