Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed at this villa for two weeks Sept 14 and found it nicely situated in small private area literally less than ten minutes walk into the village. The home has all you require for your duration, Carson and Fiona are extremely responsive once booking confirmed, and they have catered for the typical Brit in that we like our comforts once abroad. We have written this review after having stayed at the villa twice. Our first time was in March for a week and we loved it so much we rebooked and returned for 2 weeks in October. we found the booking process efficiently managed by the owners with any queries we had promptly answered - they even offered to arrange pick up from the airport.

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

Excellent position with superb views from the balcony. Arriving in daylight helps with finding the property to start with as there are very few street names but we were given very good directions. The property was very clean and well maintained and the property manager came by shortly after we arrived and showed us how to operate the satalite TV which was nice to come back to after going out for our evening meal. Lots of very good restaurants very close by to fit all pockets. Having been to Cyprus many times this is the first time that we have actually stayed in the village and we would certainly stay here again.

Excellent holiday villa

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely week in the villa. It has lovely views and was perfect to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. However still convenient for all amenities, and some very nice beaches. The owners were excellent and all details were spot on including the YouTube video of how to find the house.

Charming Villa in an Idyllic Village

  • 5 of 5

This well maintained villa has everything that you need for a holiday in Cyprus. It is also very clean and the local service team very receptive to additional requests. The location is superb as it's a very short drive from Paphos Airport and close to other areas of interest. The village is lovely and quiet and has a number of excellent restaurants if you want to eat out. The communal swimming pool is also great for hanging out and chatting with resident neighbours (who give you great insight into the area!). All in all, a great place to come and relax and feel at home

5 Star Stay

What a fantastic holiday thanks to a beautiful villa and a beautiful place, Me my wife and our two girls ( 16/21) stayed at this beautiful villa for nearly two weeks, We could not have asked for more in this accommodation it had all we expected and more including information about the things to do around Cyprus. Also everything we needed to know about the villa and how to use things, ie cool water machine washing machine and so on. On the second day we were visited by a local couple who maintain the villa and outside area's who were very friendly and made sure there was nothing we needed. Good thing to note they are part of a first aid team for the surrounding area and have a defibrillator on call 24/7 just minutes from this villa and you have there number if needed. The surrounding area is great for eating out or just having a little tipple of a evening. Cyprus itself was easy to explore as the motorway which takes you anywhere on the island is within easy access of the villa. Overall a five star holiday booked for next year already carnt wait.

A little haven

  • 5 of 5

We have written this review after having stayed at the villa twice. Our first time was in March for a week and we loved it so much we rebooked and returned for 2 weeks in October. we found the booking process efficiently managed by the owners with any queries we had promptly answered - they even offered to arrange pick up from the airport.

The villa is quietly situated with many ex-patsliving nearby and we found them to be very welcoming and helpful with tips for day trips and restaurants. The villa is very well kitted throughout and you could certainly have an extended stay, say for 1 or 2 months, as all home comforts are provided with new washing machine microwave etc. to save us repeating ourselves we found the villa to be as exactly described by the owners on the website.

Others may find this strange but the one thing we really appreciated was the fly-screens on the windows which allowed you to have the windows open in the warm eveningsto catch the breeze without being bitten! We also liked the "upside down" arrangement of the house with beedrooms downstairs and the living room upstairs to allow yo to make the most of the wonderful views across the bay to the Akrotiri peninsula and to Mount Olympus. We are not users of swimming pools but we did go up to sunbathe during the day and found it to be relaxing and quiet - certainly no pop music or beer drinkers here!

Pissouri is a quiet Cypriot village well located to discover the rest of the island. The centre of the village has many restaurants, some with entertainment, and there is also the weekly shown put on by the villagers in the square one per week - that was good for a laugh. The village also has a range of food shops and large supermarket if you are doing your own cooking.

will we return? Of course we will and it will be for 1 month the next time.

Really nice stay

  • 4 of 5

Hi

We stayed at this villa for two weeks Sept 14 and found it nicely situated in small private are literally less than ten minutes walk into the village. The home has all you require for your duration, Carson and Fiona are extremely responsive once booking confirmed, and they have catered for the typical Brit in that we like our comforts once abroad. They have air con in the two bedrooms which is superb in the hot months, have an excellent fridge freezer, cooker and washing machine. We sat on the balcony most early evenings just looking over the hills and sea, its lovely and quiet. A shared pool which is always in the sun therefore making comfortable bathing, unlike a lot of pools which are cold even in hot months as not so well positioned. The pool is generally quiet so peaceful bathing. Our first time in Pissouri, lots of wifi connections which are free, the best one being the Sparta Pub in the village just minutes walk away, plus a cold beer whilst surfing your e-mails ( good excuse to escape for an hour ) Paphos only 20 mins drive away and Limassol only 30 mins, so a good base to explore. Would certainly offer good value for money, I would give the villa 4 stars only missing out on a larger tv screen with maybe wifi in house and that's just minor detail, worth staying if you like peace and quiet, good book, nice views and typical Cypriot village with the mix of taverns and pubs for a relaxing holiday. regards Les and Karen

Location

From the Owner

We bought in Pissouri because we spent a long time here when the children were small and it holds such happy memories.

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

Five minutes drive to the Blue Flag Beach at Pissouri Bay. The beach is quiet, scenic and has ample restaurants in the background. 10 minutes drive to Evdimou Bay with just one restaurant and if you see more than 10 people it is considered to be crowded.

Travel:

Paphos Airport is 20 minutes. Larnaca Airport is 70 minutes. Hire car recommended to gain the benefit of Pissouri's position amongst Cyprus' rich heritage.

Distances:

Village Square 10 minutes walk. Aphrodite's rock 15 minutes drive. Paphos 30 minutes. Troodos resort 40 minutes. Curium archaeological site 20 minutes (World heritage).

Further Details:

Pissouri village has retained the character that much of Cyprus has lost. The locals are friendly, supportive and English is widely spoken. This is a quiet village, ideally suited to those who want to enjoy Cyprus without the clubs and karaoke. This is a million miles from Ayia Napa and Paphos. Ideal location for walking, botany, ornithology, cycling and archaeological holidays.

Pissouri Village is well positioned, convenient for the motorway yet peaceful and private. The villa itself is conveniently positioned, close enough for a gentle walk, and with absolutely stunning views. My photos simply don't do them justice.
