Beautiful Villa with Private Heated Pool (26ºC)

Updated: 12-Sep-2016
Villa Romana on Bahiazul - Peaceful Location, Golf Nearby

Your Villa Romana is within a beautiful part of the natural park area called Bahiazul. There is a friendly but ferocious guard on the main gate to provide security and to make you feel completely at ease. He is 24 hours at your disposal for any help or information. You have a totally private, heated pool, not overlooked in any way. There are Romanian-style drapes around the pool terrace to shade you from the sun or to give you an even more feeling of privacy.

Stayed here for 12 days with my husband and grown up daughters. The villa itself was immaculate , with a high standard of furnishings both inside and out.

The pool area was lovely with tropical plants and a dining area , unfortunately only two sunbeds were supplied, so we had to take turns ! , We didn't actually use the pool as it was freezing , we did however use the hot tub on the top terrace which was perfect. The cleaners came round twice in the 12 days we were there , which was a nice bonus.

We had a hire car , would recommend this as its a fair walk into town. Plus you can visit the best beaches around the island. Corralejo has some lovely restaurants in the older part of the town would recommend Rompeolas , great location overlooking the sea and fabulous food. Would definitely stay at Bahiazul again.

Simply could not have been better!

  • 5 of 5

From my initial enquiry to arriving home after a fantastic holiday I cannot praise the owner of this villa enough.

Prompt communication via email. Safe payment system. The villa even better than the photos suggested. The staff on the site very helpful. Pool and Jacuzie warm and inviting. Perfect position only 5 euros by taxi to the old town for 5 of us!

We had a car which is parked in our own area next to the villa.

Well done there is not one thing you could have done better!

Fantastic villa and service!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived, Nicole sat reception took great care of us from advising on places to visit, restaurants and things for the children.

The villa was beautiful, very clean and modern.

The pool was quite small but the boys, 14 and 11, still enjoyed playing in it.

The location was very good but we had a car, however you could probably walk into the town area in 15 minutes or grab a taxi as there were plenty about.

The large supermarket is a 2 minute walk which I quite enjoyed on an evening to stock up on wine and chocolate....very cheap!

The complex looks by far the best on the resort. The whole island was very quiet and there appeared only to be approx. 10% occupancy of the villas from what we could see so it was very quiet and no one over looked the roof terrace, not sure how this would be in peak season or if it would be alot noisier but we found it fab for us in April.

The only single drawback was lighting the BBQ on the top terrace as the wind was quite strong and we appeared to be facing right into it so it would blow out, if we went again we would take some kind of shelter to keep the wind off the BBQ, however if you are facing anphter direction then it would be fine.

Overall definately a 5star villa.

Exceeded all expectations

  • 5 of 5

I have to say that all the glowing reviews are quite justified. The complex is, as someone else commented, very much Lego Land with all properties having come out of the same mould, but that is an observation rather than a criticism. ??There's little to add to what's already been said many times over - the place is immaculate, the staff (if called upon) fall over themselves to help - and do so perfectly. ??There were only two of us, so the rather odd arrangement of access to bedrooms 2 & 3 was of no consequence (these rooms have only the one door which is directly onto the pool area) but I would be a little wary if I had children of "that" age (ie under 10) who could let themselves out as and when they wanted with complete access to the pool and roof area yet paradoxically no access to the main villa if the doors had been locked, such as early morning.??The only suggestions I have would be to review the kitchen equipment - not much in the way of small niceties (eg) a water jug to keep some in the fridge, salad bowls and indeed somewhere / something on which to leave plates to dry (the largest don't fit in the dishwasher!) but these are really minor issues.??I really cannot fault the whole operation and that is very rare!!

Amazing, fantastic, want to go back.

Booking the villa was the easiest to do, paying for it was made easy too. No charge for using credit cards, deposited taken then rest on arrival.

Met by two lovely girls Nicole and Monica who gave all the information needed on where to see, how to get there and how to work things at the villa.

The villa was spotless, and remained so over the two weeks due to a maid service every four days. The beds were really comfortable, the lovely extra blankets did come in handy as it is January so nights can be cool, expect that at this time of year. Plenty of hot water even when all family are using. The sinks are high for me and children, as only inch off 5 foot . But not a bother really. Everything you would need in the kitchen, the little cooker worked a treat for pizza ect. We had lovely home cooked meals, I cooked them, lol. The separate doors to the other two rooms was no bother, both having own facilities, gave the family lots of privacy, just made sure the entrance door and the door to the carport was locked at all times.

The pool is just the best as its the same depth all the way, deep enough to swim and play ball in, yes it was cool in the mornings but jumping in after a warm cosy bed, is going to feel cool but once in your ok. Did not miss a morning dip, lovely feeling in January.

We were made aware that around the pool and the stairs to the roof would be sloppy when wet, understandably so, so just took care and all was well. The BBQ worked well, the jacuzzi did at times, we did have trouble keeping the temperature up on it but we still used it, when we told the staff they did try to rectify it quickly.

The complex is kept immaculate , some of the villas are not completed inside, the one over the wall to us wasn't but no way could you tell unless you climbed up to look.

Everyone says about the distance into town, you can walk in, doesn't take that long. We did use the smiling gate man to get a cab at night. The supermarket which is 5 min walk away we used all the time was really good. We ate once on site and it was lovely.

We would definately go back, even in January again, the locals were all saying how the weather this year was so so bad. It did rain, it was windy, but holidays are about who your with and how you use your time together, we spent time exploring the island and time with our family.

It was so memorable . Special thanks to Monica and Nicole , you do your job well. X x x

Beautiful Villa and wonderful people

  • 5 of 5

We returned from this villa just last night after a little sunny pre-Xmas relaxation. I thankfully ignored a handful of foreboding reviews about slippery pool areas and dodgy electrics. Everything in our villa functioned as advertised and of course, when wet, the pool area was slippery and yes, I had to flick the power back on twice – but we had every light on inside and outside, what do you expect? But I want to talk about the awesome people that we encountered. From the lovely Nicole, who handed us the keys and provided a very detailed description of where to visit/eat, to the check in guy at Fuerteventura departures 11 days later. All had a marvellous and very friendly disposition; and not just service providers, even complete strangers – local residents. The only other place we have been with equally friendly and pleasant people were the Maldives. We had a car for our stay and travelled throughout the island and every encounter with the locals reinforced this view. The food at the restaurants in and around Corralejo was varied and freshly cooked with quality ingredients. All sea food looked and tasted like it had just been netted. The huge new supermarket is a short walk away. I have to make special mention of the staff at the superb on-site restaurant (modern and spotless AND does an excellent breakfast buffet). The excellent food and service from waiters David and Albero and the chef was absolutely fantastic. They were very helpful, amusing and patient with the pitiful and basic Spanish that I tried out on them, gleaned from villa’s free Wi-Fi that was impressively fast (streamed ITV player for X-Factor no problem). The star of our stay was absolutely the beefy security guard manning the gates. What a character, a happier and more jovial man I have not met. He immediately gave me the title ‘Le General’ (I have no idea why). He also taught me some new Spanish and a freaky new handshake. A top bloke who will call a cab for you that will arrive in less than two minutes. All drivers were cheery and helpful. By now you are thinking that I am easily pleased. Think on. I have just retired from the Met police after 30 years of seeing how crap people can be whatever their origins/beliefs. The Canarians are refreshingly delightful; their island is small, desert like even - but awesome. The villa was simply fantastic and literally provided more than we needed. We have just sent a request for two weeks next September in the same place. It was a home from home.
